Y&R: Christel Khalil Response to Davetta's Firing

Featured Replies

exactly. How much abuse and negativity is one expected to take?

Davetta's a big girl, she doesn't need your pitty. But I know if this were me, and she was fired and I was called back to replace her and was being totaly dogged out for it - I'd call the other [!@#$%^&*] out too. I'm not going to let people trash me!

What a b!tch. I hope SHE gets fired and sees how she likes it when the shoe's on the other foot!

okay ... who here has NOT left a job and dogged their former employees they couldn't stand, or call out the job's bull-[!@#$%^&*]?

Davetta was a backstage [!@#$%^&*], and there's no way Christel should be putting up with the level of abuse from fans of the show because her replacement was rightfully fired for her behaviour.

What a TACKY CLASSLESS B####! I was already upset about Davetta being fired, but for CK to come out with this tasteless crap.....it's ridiculous.

I hope SHE gets fired and sees how she likes it when the shoe's on the other foot!

Exactly.

That doesn't give Christel the right to talk bad about Davetta. Now, if Davetta talked about about her and her issues all over the internet... then I can see her reasoning about it. But just because fans like Davetta over her and have issues with her, doesn't give her the right to trash the girl. It makes her look dumb, sad, and pitiful to me.

I talk about former coworkers when I leave a job, but the difference here is that I worked with them! She hasn't worked with Davetta, and I find it hard to believe that they were ever on the set together too working...

Just because the show replace Davetta does not give fans the right to attack Christel EITHER!

The show made a business move. Get the hell over it and move on with your lives!

It's been a god damn month!

I don't look at it as calling Davetta out. Christel was just telling the audience why Davetta was fired. People have been asking for weeks now why the switch took place. People are blaming Christel, when if this is true, it's not her fault Davetta was not liked backstage.

Christel was only giving the fans waht they wanted: ANSWERS!

Get off her.

Wow, Backstage at y&r seems to be way more interesting than y&r itself.

The reason Davetta was let go was because of clashes of interest on the set. She wasn't very professional and was very rude to some people unfortunately. I hope that she learns to be a more respectful person and I am praying for her.

Damn, there was no point in that.

Yes it is true that Y&R asked me to come back several times before and I declined. It was because I wasn't ready. I said in magazines when I left that I was leaving to pursue a movie career but that wasn't true. I was leaving because I was overwhelmed and didn't know what to do at such a young age. It is true that my agent led the producers to believe that I was staying past my contract so there was some confusion and I left them to scramble which I felt horrible about but I had to leave. The hectic work schedule and some of the people on set made me crazy and I couldn't take it. But I had a year to relax and when they asked me back this time I was ready to come back and give it my %100. So I am happy with the changes that have happened with the show. It's made things a lot more fun. So I hope you are all excited to see what's coming up!

The way Victoria Rowell and [s.W.S.N.B.N.] have been treating this poor girl, I can certainly understand her

being fed up and lashing out. :(

I hear that Rowell ignores her on set, calls her "Davetta darling" and basically makes it clear that she can't stand the girl. Meanwhile Boof (who is African) keeps insisting that the poor girl just isn't "black" and clearly doesn't want to write for her.

In fact, it's Boof who's been begging her buddy Wyman at DAYS to De-age a new black female character that was already planned by Hogan to come on so that Davetta can play it. Apparently, Tek was going to hire a sexy black lady to seduce Abe, but rumor has it Boof has been nagging Wyman & Sheffer to have Tek pawn the young Davetta as Abe's long lost daughter instead. Of course Davetta is a soap star now because of all the publicity so there is some serious interest.

My heart goes out to Christel Khalil for the rotten treatment she's getting at Y&R. She may not be right for the part of Lily anymore, but she doesn't deserve to be disrespected and crapped on like this.

Please don't start this again.

Ok I like Davetta and if Christel was going to speak out she should've chosen her words a little better but she had to comment on this so I understand her motivation. I hate they got rid of Davetta too but the issue should be dead by now so I can see why Christel would feel the need to comment because this is turning into a mess that is seemingly unending.

Davetta has moved on so I think the issue needs to go away as well.

 Ain't that the truth.

What the hell is all of this about really? Did she really have to post all of that? She's just adding fuel to the fire

I have a hard time talking Khalil's word as the gospel, unsinkable truth. I haven't heard any report out there yet, from anyone other than Christel Khalil herself, that Davetta Sherwood was problematic on-set. Everyone else, particularly Victoria Rowell who does not suffer fools, seems to describe her as a delight. I don't seek to question the reasons behind why CK was hired and DS fired, since I am not that big a Y&R fan. But to say this in public with no provocation and no back-up from any member of cast and crew is unprecedented and totally immature if you ask me.

I'm pretty sure that if Davetta said something like this about Christel, everyone would be like: "Oh, I knew that Christel was a [!@#$%^&*]! I'm glad she got fired! etc." simply because you are on Davetta's side... if Davetta said that, I bet you that almost all of you that are saying how wrong THIS is, wouldn't be saying that then.

JMO.

GO CHRISTEL!

Christel is unbelievable. She really shouldn't be talking about professionalism and respect given the way she left the show last year. Davetta has already alluded to the fact that she speaks her mind and sometimes it backfires. If one simply looks at the situation, Davetta is clearly the greater professional. She has not dogged the show or anyone on it. She has even asked her fans to continue to support the show and Christel. Regardless of what happened, you don't talk about another person like that. For Christel, it looks like a desperate attempt to garner support. She's acting like a child. It is completely rude, unprofessional, and uncalled for. Given her tendancy to be less than truthful in the past, I'm not going to take anything she says as gospel. She was not there and anything she says is heresay. I've had the pleasure of speaking with Davetta in the past. She's not the type of person to let anyone disrespect her and if anything happened, I'm sure there was reason. In fact, Eric, Victoria, and Douglass, have all praised Davetta. Christel is coming off as an immature snot

Ohhh HEEELLL-to-the-Nooo!....*takes off ear rings, shoes, and rubs vasoline on face* Girlfight!!!

I'm with you on that.
