  1. I miss Mari Jo. She was great.

And speaking of Keemo, I liked him, but what I remember most about him was when Mari Jo hired a prostitute to sleep with him. I can't remember why she did that but yeah, I remember how messed up it was, especially when she was trying to explain it to him.

  2. The Lives of Others So damn good. It was very compelling. Pan's Labyrinth is so different to this that it is hard to compare the two and say which one deserved the Oscar. I might be leaning to The Lives Of Others.

I saw saw an advanced screening of Knocked Up, The ones behind 40 Year-Old Virgin. While this one definitely has more serious undertones than 40, it was hilarious.

  3. The Life of Others

The Oscar winner for 'Foreign Language Film' - and it so deserves it. The movie was fantastic; thrilling, moving, brilliantly acted, wonderfully old-fashioned. Check it out if you get the chance...

I really want to see this. Even though I loved Pan's Labyrinth, I have heard that The Lives of Others deserved that Oscar. I think I'm going to see this on Tuesday (hopefully).

  4. I thought it was cool that Meredith and the spirits were walking the halls of the hospital. That scene at the end where Izzie & Denny sensed each other had me bawling.

I also cried when Christina entered Meredith's room and started crying, probably because she never shows emotions like that. I loved how the first thing she said to Meredith was that she's engaged to Burke. It seemed like she just had to get it out in case anything else happened to Mer.

I wasn't feeling Derek's pain as much. I'm not sure if it was the writing or the acting.

I disagree about Callie & Izzie, though. I thought Callie was cruel to point out how everyone close to Izzie dies and was hoping Izzie would slap her.

What Callie was about to say was not right but Izzy provoked her. Izzy needs to know how to shut up. Just because she doesn't like Callie, she doesn't have to rile her up and badmouth her to George. She should keep her opinions to herself, even if she feels differently. She is holding on to this dislike of Callie so much that she is alienating her best friend George. When George walked out on Izzy, all of the people I was watching with all said the same thing. "I don't feel sorry for her."

  5. This episode was weird. And disappointing.

I disagree. I Found it to be a really powerful episode. I really can't stand Izzy. This started from the end of last season for me. Glad that Callie didn't smack her up, because then that would've given Izzy a reason to bad-talk Callie to George. Though I am annoyed of Izzy and not really a Izzy/Denny fan, I still loved the end with the two of them. All the actors blew me away in this episode. It even managed to make me care about Derek. Extra-big shout-outs to the portrayers of Meredith, Christina, Chief, Burke and Bailey.

I was having my problems with the show this season but since the buildup to George's dad's death, I have been hooked.

  6. Marie-Antoinette. I really did not like this movie. It is very stylish but rather dull. With so much history, you would think Coppola would make this interesting. I loved her other films: Lost In Translation and The Virgin Suicides. She really missed the mark with this one. Not to mention that Marie-Antoinette had an American accent (supposed to be Austrian). The French barely spoke French.

Babel. Amazing movie. Out of the three Oscar movies I've seen (Babel, Departed, Little Miss Sunshine), this is hands-down the best one. The acting was inceredible. The whole vibe of the movie was moving, intense, sad and captivating. In all fairness, I have not seen the other two Oscar movies yet, but out of the 3 I saw, this should win the Oscar. JMO.
