  1. INT. SPD - DAY - HOLDING CELLS India and Dorrie sit in silence as they hear footsteps coming down the hallway. India gets up and squeezes her head down the hall to notice an officer and a man in a trench coat and hat walking towards them. The man looks up at India to reveal its Alan. India: Alan! I knew you would come to save me. I just knew it. Officer: You have ten minutes, Mr. Spaulding. Alan shoos the officer away as he reaches through the bars, grabbing India's hands in a comforting manner. Alan: Could you ever really doubt me? India: Not for one second. Dorrie: (in the background) Is he going to get us out of here or what? It's disgusting and vile back here. Alan: No worries, I will have you out in a few. Alan releases India's hands and head to the front of the police station. He smiles at her to give her some hope. INT. CRIMINAL PROCESSING The room is bustling with a crowd of officers running about doing their usual duties: writing reports, booking criminals. Alan interrupts Frank who is conversing with another officer. Alan: I need to speak with you. Frank: Don't you see I am busy. Frank heads off towards his office with Alan tailing behind him. Alan: I don't care. Frank: Alan, if this about India, the proof is in the pudding. She committed a crime and now she has to deal with the consquences. Alan: It was a simple mistake. Just call up that Gary guy and we can settle this here. Frank: I don't think so. If you are thinking about bribing him, you can forget about it. Alan: (scoff) I cannot believe you said that. Frank: I did. Frank enters his office, turns around and slams the door in Alan's face. Alan: You will pay for this, Cooper. Suddenly, Alan's attention is caught by an officer and a man (Gary) standing at the counter. Officer: Mr. Gary, we have your limo parked in the cage if you want an officer to go and retrieve it for you. Gary: That would be so nice. Officer: Wait here. The Officer walks off. Gary waits patiently as Alan stalks him like a lion to a gazelle, waiting for the right time to attack, well approach him in this case. Alan: (approaching him) You must be Gary. Gary: Yeah. And you are? Alan: Alan. Alan Spaulding. Gary: Of Spaulding Enterprises?! Alan: Yes. Gary takes Alan's hand and shakes it aggressively. Gary: So nice to meet you, Mr. Spaulding. Alan: You too. Now I need you to do me a favor. Alan gestures Gary to follow him to a corner where Alan says some words we can't make out but when Alan whips out a check and the expression of Gary's face fills it in for all of us. Frank emerges from his office to find Alan and Gary together. Frank storms over to them. Frank: Alan, what are you doing! Gary: (putting the check away) Nothing. We were just talking. Mr. Spaulding was just requesting my expertise for when the next Spaulding board meeting. He needed some limos to ride the board members in and I couldn't say no. Frank: Alan... Gary: Oh and Mr. Cooper, I need you to go and drop those charges against the Von Halkein women. Frank is speechless. Gary: I see no real harm was done and the limo I am sure is in fine condition. Alan: And if it isn't you can call me for repairs. Gary: I will. The Officer reenters. Ofifcer: (handing keys) Here you go, Mr. Gary. Gary: Thank you. You all have a blessed day. Oh, and Mr. Cooper, you can fax me any paperwork that I need to sign about dropping those charges. Good day everyone. Gary walks out. Frank is livid and this point while Alan is happy that once again, money solved another problem. Alan: You can go and release them. Frank: (to Officer) Draw up the paperwork and have another officer go back there and release India and Dorrie. Officer: Alright, Sir. The officer walks off doing as they are told. Frank: So you win again. Alan: Till next time. Frank walks back into his office and slams the door. Alan: And who says that Franklin could never solve anything... FADE OUT COMING UP ON THE FINAL HALF Beth and Caroline have a heart to heart about India Mel and Cyrus have sex Leah meets Grady
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWcf9IQgnmg FADE IN: INT. MEL'S BASEMENT – DAY Cyrus and Grady ease down the stairs quickly and quietly. Cyrus: Hurry. I don't want Mel to catch us. Grady: (stops) Does it even matter? It's not like Mel is actually going to turn me in. Cyrus: Don't be so sure of that. (grabs Grady by the arm) Now come on! Cyrus drags him down the stairs when the door opens from the top of the stairs. Cyrus swings Grady off to the side out of sight. Standing at the top of the stairs is Mel. Mel: (coming down the stairs) Hey you. Cyrus: Hello to you. (panicking) Umm…don't come down here! Stay where you are at. Mel is mystified by this. Mel: Why? Is something wrong? (rushes down the stairs) Is something wrong? Cyrus rushes back up the stairs where he meets Mel. He places his arms out to block her. Cyrus: I don't want you down here due to I am about to place mouse traps down. I don't want you to get hurt. Mel: How could a mouse trap hurt me? I think I can spot one. Cyrus: Yeah but I also sprayed down here too and I don't want you to inhale the fumes. Mel: Well then you should not be down here either? Grady rolls his eyes. Cyrus: (agitated) Mel… Mel: What is going on here? It's as if you are hiding something from me. Cyrus: (boastful laugh) What? Are you kidding me? Me? What do I have to hide? Mel: I don't know. You tell me? Cyrus' impatience runs out and he plants a deep, passionate kiss on Mel. Grady watches from within the cracks of the bookcase. He cringes at the sight of this. Mel breaks the kiss, confused by this action. Mel: (gently rubbing her lips) What was that? Cyrus: A kiss. Did you not like it? Mel: No! No! It was nice. I'm -- I'm just taken back by this. Cyrus: I am glad that it was good. I want to show you more. Mel: (holding her hand out) Then let me lead the way. Mel guides Cyrus up the stairs. Grady and Cyrus exchange looks before Cyrus closes the door. Grady: Lucky bastard… CUT TO INT. DINING ROOM – DAY Alex: Last time I checked, the boys were out on the terrace. Alan: (getting up) Maybe I should go and check on them. Alex pulls Alan back down. Alex: How about you stay in your lane and don't worry about them. See that's your problem, you always worry about everybody else situation but your own. A-M: (O.C) I agree. Alan Michael and Phillip walk back in the room with their arms on each other shoulders. Everyone watches on overjoyed. All but Alan. Phillip: Sorry we are late. We had a heart to heart. Alex: No problem. Just glad to see you two getting along and not at each other throats unlike other siblings I know. Alex cuts her eyes at Alan. Beth: (gesturing) Join us. Phillip grabs a seat next to Beth while Alan Michael sits next to Alex. Caroline starts to walk out the room when, Lizzie: Caroline, aren't you going to join us also? Caroline: Oh no. I'm sure there is some filing that needs to be done. Alan: There is. Alex: Then too bad because Caroline is going to join us. (to Caroline) Have a seat. Caroline does as she is told and has a seat next to Alan Michael. Alex: See now. Even though we are dysfunctional, we all can sit down have a dinner together. Alan: (groaning) Oh please. This day just keeps getting worse and— India and Dorrie barge into the room to the delight of no one. Alex stands up bewildered and frustrated. On the other hand, Alan is delighted by the sight of India. Alex: India! Beth: Looks like this day has been shot to hell… Alan: No, I think it has just gotten better. India pants heavily. We can tell that her adrenaline is still running high. India: Stepmother dearest, how are you? Alex: India, what is going -- oh -- what -- ooo girl, what are you doing here? India: Well can't your favorite stepdaughter— Alex: My only and not so favorite— India: Ok then. Can I just get a hello? Alex: Hello. Now leave. India: Oh you're not serious. India gracefully sits in a vacant seat at the table. Alex: As a heart attack. India: (chortles) Then someone is about to have a heart attack because I have news for you all. Phillip: Oh God… India: Phillip, come on. I thought we were on good terms. Phillip: You thought wrong. India: Fine then. You all are just going to have to deal with me more now that I am moving back to Springfield. Alex clutches her chest in pain. Alex: Dear God. He is punishing me. Why, why, WHY!!! Alan: Oh stop, Alex. Alan snatches her hand away from her chest. Beth: India, why is your motive? What do you want now? Phillip? Alan? Money? Caroline: (leaning into Alan Michael, whispering) Who is this woman? A-M: India Von Halkein. One of Phillip's many ex-wives and Alan's lovers. Caroline: (jealous) Oh… India: (to Beth) Everything I do does not have to be money motivated. Beth: I doubt that seriously. You are nothing more than a gold-digger. Dorrie: I will not let you talk to my mother like that! India: Oh Dorrie, ignore Beth. She can call me anything she wants but she knows at the end of the day I have more class than she will on her best day. Beth Raines is nothing more than a piece of trash from the wrong side of the tracks. Alex: India! James: (overlapping) Hey! Lizzie: (overlapping) How dare you! Phillip: I will not allow you to sit at this table, India and talk to the mother of my children that way. India: Put a cork in, Phillip. Beth should be use to being called trash. Alex: I want her out! I. WANT. HER. OUT!! Dorrie: (tugging at India's arm) Let's go, Mother. India: Fine. My daughter and I will leave this house but we won't leave Springfield or Spaulding Enterprises. Phillip: You have no position at Spaulding Enterprises. The foundation had cut backs and we know for a fact that you were released. India slowly paces around the table. India: So true but that isn't the only position I have at Spaulding. Alan grins from ear to ear like a Cheshire cat. India positions herself behind Phillip's chair and leans in close to his ear. India: Have you forgotten that I still have seat on the board? Alex: Heaven help us. India: Which means that I still wield some power. The only way you will be able to get that seat back is if you buy it from me at my price. And I am sure you all don't want to buy me out at the high price I am willing to sell it for during this horrible recession. Alex: Try me. How much do you want to sell the seat for? India: 15 million! The room goes into a ruckus. Phillip: 15 million! What? India— Alex: Never. I will never pay for that. We find another way to get you off the board. India: And I will sue you. I gave you my price. Take it or leave it. Hilda the Maid enters. Hilda: Mr. Spaulding, I am sorry to interrupt but Mr. Cooper is here. Alan: Buzz? Hilda: No. Mr. Frank Cooper. Alan: Let him in. Hilda nods her head and gesture Frank to enter. Frank is followed by two other uniformed cops. Frank: Sorry to interrupt this dinner but we have been contacted by Gary's Limo that a limo of his has been stolen. India and Dorrie's eyes widen as they share a glance. Alan: I'm sorry but all of my limo's are owned by me. Frank: I know. But the limo that India arrived in was not. Frank smiles at a tense India. Frank: You wouldn't've stolen a limo would you, India? India: No. How dare you make such an accusation? Frank: India…they presented us with a bounced check, along with the limo number you took and its license plate. Just happens to be the one in the drive way. India: So what? Anyone could've put that there. Alex: Someone is a bit of a kleptomaniac. Frank: (pointing at India) Get her. The cops whip out their cuffs and walk over towards India and Dorrie. India: This -- this is a mistake. Frank: Read them their rights. India: Do you all know who I am! My father was the Baron of Andorra! Dorrie: Mother, shut up. The cops cuff India and Dorrie. Cop #1: India and Dorrie Von Halkein, you are under arrest for grand theft auto. Dorrie and India: WHAT?! Cop #2: Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of the law. You have the right to an attorney. If you can't provide yourself with one, one will be provided to you. India: This is a travesty! I am innocent! Phillip: Sure, India. Sure. Frank: Take them to the car. The cops escort India and Dorrie out. India: (O.C) Alan! Alan, help me! Frank: Sorry to interrupt, you all may go back to doing what you were doing. Alex: Thank you, Frank. Frank exits. Alex: Grand theft auto. Beth, you are a lawyer, how many years is that? Beth: 3 to 5. Alex: Good. According to the Spaulding Board Members handbook, a felony equals automatic expulsion from the board. Alan: If they are found guilty. Plus the expulsion is up to the present CEO of the company, which is me. Alex: What are you up to Alan? Alan: I happen to like India. And I want her to stay on the board. Alan gets up and heads for the door. Alex: Where are you going? Alan: To bail out India and Dorrie before a media crisis happens. Lizzie: Grandpa, are you kidding me? Alan: No. Phillip: Dad, if you bail that woman out I will never speak to you again. Beth: Me too. Alex: I second that motion. Lizzie & James: Ditto! Everyone looks at Bill, who sits in silence. Lizzie: Bill! Bill: Alan and I already don't talk so what would be the difference? Beth: Alan Michael? Caroline? Caroline: He's my boss. Alan Michael: I have no seat on the board anymore. He took it before I left town the last time. Phillip: Then it is settled. Us or India? Alan: (laughs) Do you all think you can blackmail me? And how many times have you all said you will never speak to me again but you always do? Alex: But this time is different. Alan: We shall see. Now I am going to get India and Dorrie. Goodbye. Alan walks out. Phillip runs to the door hollering, Phillip: You have made your choice and know you must live with it! Alan gives him a "thumbs up" and hops into his limo, driving off. FADE OUT Coming up on the final half: -Alan saves India and pays Gary to drop the charges against India -Leah and Grady meet and she is instantly attracted to him -Beth clues Caroline (Hope) in more on India -Mel and Cyrus have sex

  4. INT. REVA BEND – DAY – LIVING ROOM Dinah sits at the computer going over stories for WSPR when we hear the door unlock to reveal Shayne entering with baby Henry. Dinah turns around from the computer to greet him with a smile. Dinah: Hey you. How was the funeral? Shayne: A mess. Surprised your mother has not called you and told you how Olivia reacted. Dinah gets up with a look of concern. She takes Henry off his hands and kisses Shayne on the cheek. Meanwhile, Shayne hangs up their coats. Dinah: About what? Shayne: The woman lost it. Marah showed up to bid Sam farewell and she called her a bitch and everything else in the book. I feel so bad for Marah and the poor Bauers. Enough about me though, how have you been? Dinah: Stressing out. Getting ready for our big premiere. Holly has a lot of hope of getting WSPR back on the map with this relaunch. Shayne: And I agree with Holly. I can only see huge success when it comes to you and Blake in a room having to work together. Dinah: Yeah, whatever. I still don’t get why she even joined on as an anchor. I mean the woman has no likeability. Shayne: (jokingly) And the same can be said you as well, Dinah. You’re no Mother Theresa yourself. Dinah: (laughing) Oh really? (to Henry) You may want to tell your daddy to stop insulting before he becomes the first story on WSPR’s relaunch: “WSPR Anchor assaults her boyfriend.” Shayne takes Henry back. Shayne: We’ll see about that. Now I am about to go and lie Henry down. Shayne gives Dinah a love tap on her bottom. Dinah: Shayne! In front of Henry. Shayne shrugs his shoulders, smirking. Dinah laughs while rubbing her bottom. CUT TO INT. WSPR NEWSROOM – DAY Holly reads and marks up some of Blake’s stories with a red pen. Blake watches on not so thrilled by all her marks. Holly: Nope. This is not going to work. Scrap that story. Holly hands Blake the paper and Blake snatches it. Blake: What is wrong with it, Mother? Holly: It does not scream attention grabber. I mean who really cares about the Councilman’s wife wanting to do an interview about her husband’s many affairs. Blake: It’s good TV. Nothing like a good, controversial affair to jump off ratings. Holly: I said no. What don’t you get? The “I said,” or the “No.” It’s trash TV. Blake: And? Mother, that equals ratings! Holly: Ok. But that is the thing about WSPR, we have become nothing more than another news station reporting and glorifying martial affairs. I don’t want to give Councilman Reed anymore press than what he deserves. Blake: Ok then what did you have in mind? Let me guess, something dealing with— Holly: Political issues. If you wrote a story like Dinah did on Councilman Reed wanting to invest in bringing in casinos instead of the water and park restoration then I’d greenlight it. Other than that, who cares about him sexing some clueless broad who is hoping to snag him. The man needs no more negative press when it comes to his personal life. Blake: Why? Reginald: (O.C) It’s elementary, babe. Bad publicity equals good publicity nowadays. Blake and Holly turn around to see the steamy, breathtaking Reginald Wilson standing behind them. Blake, though tries to hide it, is taken back by his good looks. She likes what she sees. Holly: (hugging him) Reginald! You finally arrived. Reggie: I told you I’d arrive sooner or later. Blake: (with attitude) Mother, who is this? Holly: Reginald Wilson. You and Dinah’s male correspondent. Blake: Oh… Reggie: And you must be Chrissy? Blake: The name is Christina but I prefer Blake. No one called me Chrissy but my father. Reggie: Until now. Blake: Excuse us…uh, Reginald. Reginald: Go ahead. Blake pulls Holly aside. Blake: I hate him. Holly: You just met him. Blake: So what. He does not fit the vision for WSPR. Holly: Too bad. I’m the visionary of this show. Blake: Mother…Mother, I -- I swear I will quit. Holly: Go ahead, Blake. You ought to know by now that emotional blackmail is not going to work with me. Didn’t when you were a child and isn’t going to now. Reginald joins them, wrapping his arms around both of them. Reggie: (to Blake) You’re not intimidated by me, are you? Blake: (removing his arm) Nope. But I strongly advise that you wear a protective cup to work for now because I am going to hand you your— CUT TO INT. LIMO – DAY Dorrie: Balls. That is all I have to say, Mom. You have big ones to come back here and try another shot at Phillip. Have you even thought about Beth Raines? India ignores Dorrie as she glances in her compact mirror adding blush to her face. India: Who cares about Beth? She is no threat to me. Dorrie: Is that so? Then if that is the case, you’d still be with Phillip now. But newsflash, Mother, YOU AREN’T!! India: Dorrie, do you have to be such a downer? Dorrie: I’m not a downer. I’m a realist. I see things for what they are. I am never going to let love -- well in your case, money, blind me. India puts down the compact and faces off with Dorrie. India: Money does blind me. It drives me. And love can take a backseat to money. You can’t take love to the bank, Dorrie. Dorrie: (drops her face into her hands in embarrassment) Mother! Are you serious? India: Could you for once, just once listen to what I have to tell you? India hands Dorrie the book, HOW TO BE A SOCIAL CLIMBER. India: Just read this and you’ll get it. Dorrie takes the book as she rolls down the window. She then proceeds with tossing the book out the window. India: Dorrie!! Dorrie: Mom, I am not reading that book again! It’s stupid. India: You need that. I mean how can you land a rich man without having your manual, your mantra to guide you? Dorrie: I have a walking, eating, and breathing manual sitting beside me. If I wanna learn from the best, I got you. India: (flattered) Why thank you. The car comes to a screeching halt, flinging both of them forward. Dorrie and India scream. Dorrie: Mom -- Mom are you ok? India removes her hair from her face. India: Yes, yes I am. (knocks on the window) Hey! Driver, what just happened there? Do you know who I am? I am India Von Halkein! The Driver lets down the window and looks into the back. Driver: And clearly you’re broke. You’re credit card was just denied. My boss, just called and told me to put you two out. India: What?! Dorrie: Dear God, that is a sign. A sign I tell you! God is telling us to not head to Springfield. INDIA: DORRIE, SHUT UP!!! (calmly, to driver) Now listen, Sir, there must be a mistake. Driver: Afraid not. Now get out. India: No. This is a mistake! A mistake I tell you! I refuse to get out! The Driver gets out and makes his way towards the back. India locks the door to prevent him from getting in. Dorrie: What are you doing? The Driver beats on the door. Driver: Open this door! India: (to driver) No! Dorrie: Mom, this enough. Let him in. Dorrie goes to unlock the door when India grabs her by the arm. India: Don’t you even think about!!!! Seeing the fire in India’s eyes causes Dorrie to sit back and shut up. India reaches forwards in the front seat and grabs the keys from the ignition. The Driver comes back to the front of the car only to spot India locking his door as well. Driver: Hey! You crazy lady, let me in! India dangles the keys at him like a lion tamer dangling meat to a lion. India: Come and get them. The Driver eyes the top of the car where the sun roof is open. India’s eyes meet at the sun roof also. They glance at each other for a second and then back at the sun roof. All of a sudden, the Driver dives on top of the car as India slides from the backseat into the driver seat. She starts the car and drives off, tossing the driver off the car. Dorrie is flung back by her mother speeding. Dorrie: MOTHER!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!!! India: Taking care of business, baby. Taking care of business. Now put your seatbelt on. Mother hasn’t driven a car since 1986. Dorrie: WHAT?!!! The car speeds off down the road. FADE OUT Coming up in the 2nd half: · Dorrie and India reunite with the uneager Spauldings. · Alan makes India an offer that starts a war for ownership in Spaulding. · India is arrested but Alan comes to her rescue. · Beth shares her worries about India’s return with Caroline (Hope), who learns about Alan’s past with India. · Cyrus hides Grady in Mel’s basement unbeknownst. · Mel wants to consummate her relationship with Cyrus. · Leah comes face to face with a creature (Grady) in the basement, who she takes a liking too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkXZlfWmknI
  5. Thanks. There are great things about to sizzle for her daughter, Dorrie so stay tuned.
  6. Loved it! More Sister Patterson and DC. They are hilarious together. Loved Sabyrn and Sharan also. STEAM is great. Keep it up.
  7. INT. CROSS CREEK – DAY Reva storms in carrying Colin with Jeffrey slumping in behind her. He gently closes the door when Reva snaps back around facing him. Reva: How dare you! Jeff: Reva— Reva: You have the nerve to side with Olivia over my daughter. You have lost your mind. Jeff: I am on no one’s side but I do think Marah should not have been there. It was tacky. Reva: Tacky?! (giggles to mask her anger) Tacky? No what is tacky was the little number she did on Marah. Reva gently lays Colin in his bassinette. Jeff: She is mourning. Reva: And Marah is not? Jeffrey reaches out to Reva as she blows him off, storming off into the kitchen. Reva: That bitch! Oh she better ready because I am coming for her. Full speed ahead. Jeff: This is ridiculous. Reva: Whatever. Reva crosses back in the living room and opens the door to the coat closet. She reaches up and pulls down a blanket and pillow. Reva: There you go. Jeff: What? Reva… Reva: You are sleeping there tonight or better yet if you don’t like that, call Olivia and get a room at the Beacon. I don’t care. Reva picks Colin up and heads up stairs leaving Jeffrey at a loss for words. CUT TO INT. SPAULDING MANOR – DAY – DINING ROOM The Spaulding family sits in the table conversing and eating. Alex: Such a nice funeral. Beth: Until Olivia ruined it as always. Alan: I found it to be quite entertaining. For once the spotlight was not on the Bauers. Olivia stole it from them with that great speech. Alan laughs to himself. Beth: Alan, you’re sick. Alan: So what. You didn’t seem to care when you were married to me. James: Hey! Don’t you even go there. Lizzie: I agree. Granddad, you should be ashamed. What Olivia did was cruel. Poor Marah. Alan: Oh who cares about Marah Lewis? Bill: I would. She happens to be my cousin. Alan: Who got bashed in every sense… Caroline: (O.C) Mr. Spaulding! Alan turns around to Caroline who is not so pleased by crude words. Caroline: I thought you swore you were going to change for once? Alex: (whispering to Beth) And how many women has he sworn that too. Beth nods. Alan: Caroline, this has nothing to do with you. Stay in your lane. You’re my assistant, not my consciousness. Lizzie: I don’t know, I kind of like Caroline keeping you check. Caroline: Thank you, Mrs. Lewis. (to Alan) You should be gracious on a day like this. Alan: Oh come on, Caroline. You have to admit Olivia’s speech was great. Caroline: I think not. And I am sure the Bauers or Alan Michael did not appreciate it. (looking around) Where is Alan Michael? Beth: And Phillip? CUT TO EXT. TERRACE Alan Michael and Phillip stand in silence, looking out beyond, yearning. Phillip: Sorry, bro. Sorry about the funeral. Alan Michael: Whatever. You should not be sorry. It should be Olivia. Phillip: Yeah but she is the mother of my precious Emma. I feel like I have too. A-M: You don’t. Phillip: No but I do. (beat) So what are you thinking about? A-M: My mom. My life, what am I going to do with it now. Phillip: There is always a position for you at Spauldings. A-M: Hell no. I never wanna work there again. Spaulding Enterprises has cost me so much. I don’t want to touch anything involved with it with a six foot pole. Phillip: Come on, bro. (pats A-M on the back) It’s not that bad. A-M: I doubt that. Anything consisting of dad is bad news. CUT TO EXT. ALLEY – DAY Cyrus pulls up in his car and put it into park. He gets out and walks for awhile until he reaches a dumpster. Suddenly, Grady jumps out scaring Cyrus. Grady: Hello, Cyrus. Cyrus: (breathing heavily) Dammit, Grady. Don’t do that. And what have I told you about calling me. You’re supposed to be in hiding. Grady: What do you think me hiding behind this dumpster is? Cyrus: Grady… Hiding behind a dumpster is not what I mean. Like an abandoned building, something. Grady: I’m not hiding in some rat infested, rundown building. Not gonna happen, mate. Cyrus: Grady, I am trying to keep you safe. These people think you are dead and I am trying to keep it that way until the plan come through. Grady: Well we need to move now. I want Phillip to pay for what he has done to me. Grady parts his hair to show Cyrus the gruesome scar on his head. Cyrus: He will pay. Oh he will pay… CUT TO INT. Sitting next to her is another woman with a book held to her face named HOW TO GAIN YOUR EX-HUSBAND BACK. The two books are lowered down to reveal mother and daughter duo, India and Dorrie. Dorrie: Mother, why are we going back to dullsville which is known as Springfield? India: You know why. For me to get back with Phillip— Dorrie: Which will never happen. India looks at her daughter letting her know to watch her mouth. India: And for you to snag a rich man yourself. Dorrie: In Springfield? (chortles) Mother, come on! If I am trying to find a rich man send me somewhere I know I have a chance like: Dubai or New York City, LA or Paris. Not Springfield. India: Oh honey, there are so many rich men in Springfield. Trust me. Dorrie: Whatever. I vowed never to come back here again. The only good thing I got out of being here was you. India: (tearful) Oh baby girl… (shakes it off) But no. We have to. We have to find rich men. Ever since Ramon Santiago, my ex husband— Dorrie: Mother, I know. He stripped us of all our fortunes, blah , blah, blah. Then Alan gave you the job, which now you were fired from due to recession. India pops Dorrie on the head. India: Stop being a smart aleck. INTERCOM: Ladies, we are now landing in Springfield, Illinois. India: (girlish tone) Ooo goody! Springfield, Spaulding men, here I come! Dorrie: (rolling eyes) Oh God… FADE OUT *India and Dorrie*

Reva: Look Olivia, I know you are in pain but so is Marah. She watched as Sam sacrificed himself to save her. Olivia: Too bad. I don't want her here. Reva: No sweetie, that is too bad for you. If she can't behere for Sam, she sure as hell can be here for the Bauers. Olivia: (slowly starting to seethe) Reva, don't do this. Foronce put your foot down and get her to leave. Though their feud is long over, the two women still can't resistannoying one another from time to time. Matt: (awkwardly) So...Quint, have you thought of where youguys were going to stay? Quint opens his mouth to speak when, Vanessa: Here of course! Where else would they stay? This isQuinton's home too. Matt: Vanessa, are you— Vanessa: Sure? Yes. Very. (reaches across the table andgrabs Quint's hand) I want my brother here. In this house. Where my fatherintended it to be. Quint smiles at Vanessa's words. Nola: Well I was hoping we'd move into Company. Vanessa is taken back by this. Vanessa: Nola, are you serious? Company? Nola: What is wrong with Company? Vanessa: Well -- uh…see -- I Nola waits for an answer. Vanessa: Oh come on, Nola. Why would you want to move backthere. The Coopers are there and so many other people. Nola: And Vanessa? Vanessa: You are doing this on purpose. Nola: Am I really? Vanessa: Yes! You've only been back for ten minutes now andyou are already starting. Nola: (overlapping) I was just asking a simple question,Vanessa! No need to get angry! What is wrong with us boarding at Company? Quint belts out a loud whistle ringing throughout the room.Everyone covers their ears. Quinton: Ladies, enough. If we have to fight over where meand Nola will stay then we'll do it the old diplomatic way. Vanessa & Nola: How? Quinton pulls out a quarter. Quint: Flip a coin. Vanessa: (chuckles) You must be joking? Quint: Nope. Nola, call it. Quinton tosses the coin in the air. Nola: Heads – no tails. I mean heads. Oh no, tails. Heads.Tails— Vanessa: Heads. The coin falls on the table and its heads. Vanessa: Yes! Nola: Ugh. Quint: It's settled. We are staying here. Vanessa: Goody. Nola mocks Vanessa saying "goody." Nola is rather irritatedby this revelation. Vanessa: I'll have Beauregard help you guys get settled inbut we (getting up from the couch) have to head to the church for the funeral. Youguys should come. Quint: I don't know. Nola: I wanna go. I wanna say goodbye to Mr. Bauer. Mommawanted me to send my regards so we are going. You know how she felt about theBauers, especially Bert. We should be there. Quint: Then we will go. Quint grabs Nola by the hand and follows Vanessa and Mattout. CUT TO INT. CHURCH – DAY – MINUTES LATER The church filled with everyone. They all sit in their seatsas Reverend Rutledge approaches the altar and starts to speak. (play music over entire scene) http://www.youtube.c...h?v=-JtogUEdfLs Rutledge: This is indeed a sad day for Springfield as wecelebrate the lives of five wonderful people. All having an impact on our livesin some sort of fashion… MOMENTS LATER Ed is now at the altar. Ed: What can I say about my brother, Mike. I can say he wasway more levelheaded than I ever hope to be. Everyone starts to laugh. Ed: I will miss my brother. We fought over everything. Fromour mother's attention, to toys, to girls. Hell even wives. But through it all,I will always love my brother. Ed tears up as he glances at his brother's coffin. Ed: I will always love you, Mike. Tell mom, Maureen, andLeslie I said hello. Tears stream down Rick's face. MOMENTS LATER Now it's Rick's turn. Rick: Aunt Trudy was such a hopeless romantic. And though Idid not get to spend much time with her, the time I did spend with her made meappreciate the relationships I did have and have taken for granted. MOMENTS LATER Michelle is at the altar, hysterical. Michelle: No one will ever replace Aunt Meta. That woman –that woman helped shaped me into everything I am now. When she first arrived Iwas so angry because she treated me like a child. It bothered me so much. Butovertime, I grew to love this woman. (smiling through tears) Oh and her belovedBruce. Though they had been divorced long before, the two continued to have agreat relationship. I remember Aunt Meta trying to play off Bruce calling heras if she hated it but she loved every second of it. (losing it again) Oh AuntMeta! I love you. I love you so much. May you join the other angels in Heaven.Kiss my mother for me… MOMENTS LATER It's Alan Michael turn. Alan Michael: Even though my mom is presumed dead and herbody is still missing, we want to celebrate her life too. Caroline (Hope) starts to squirm in her seat in guilt. Alan Michael: My mom had it bad. She was a drunk and she hada string of bad relationships but ONE thing I can say about her was that shewas a damn good mother… (stifling his tears)…a good one. (looks up to the Heavens)Mom, if you can hear me, rest in peace. You no longer have to worry about me. Caroline clutches her Bible close to heart as she fightsback her tears. MOMENTS LATER Finally Olivia approaches the altar. She touches Sam'scasket and then look at Marah. Reva: (whispering to Josh) Get ready… Josh nods his head, understanding. Olivia: My brother -- my brother, Sam -- he, um…he was --(screw it) He would still be alive today if it wasn't for that ungrateful bitchright there! Everyone in the church gasps as Olivia points at Marah. Olivia: SHE KILLED MY BROTHER! THAT WHORE KILLED MY BROTHER! Olivia: YOU expect me to play it cool? SHE KILLED MY BROTHER! Jeffrey walks up to Marah and tries to guide her out the church. Jeffrey: Maybe you should leave. Marah: I think not! (to Olivia) Sam was MY friend. And what happened to him was a tragedy but I am not going to let you continue on blaming me. Olivia: Marah, I want you to leave! Leave my brother’s funeral. Marah: Last time I checked, the church was a public place. Olivia: Not Sam’s funeral! Marah: Too bad. I also came here for the Bauers too and I know they aren’t going to kick me out so deal with it. Jeffrey: Marah— Marah: (frantic) SHUT UP, JEFFREY! Stop trying to tell me what to do. I am staying and it’s final. Olivia: Are you kidding me? You really are going to disrespect my memory of my brother by you being here? Marah: That’s the problem, Olivia, it’s not about you. Sam would want— Olivia interrupts, stepping in Marah’s face point her finger in her face. Olivia: Don’t you dare. Don’t you dare say what Sam would want. You don’t know what he wants. Marah: (intensely) Get your finger out my face. Jeffrey and Natalia pull the women apart. Jeffrey: Enough! (to Marah) You really should leave. CHAMBERLAIN MANOR – DAY – LIVING ROOM Vanessa sits at the desk, digging through the desk drawer frantically. Matt pops in the room watching Vanessa in confusion. Matt: Vanessa… Vanessa: (not paying attention) Yes, honey. Matt: Vanessa, what are you looking for? Vanessa: My earrings, the ones that Ed gave me that belonged to Maureen. I can’t find them. Vanessa drops on all fours and starts to search the floor. Matt burst into laughter at the sight of Vanessa on the floor. Vanessa looks up puzzled by this moment. Vanessa: What is so hilarious to you? Matt: Nothing -- Nothing at all. Vanessa: Oh please. What is it? Matt: To see the great Vanessa Chamberlain on the floor on all fours. I never thought I’d see that. Vanessa: Matt… Matt extends his hand out and Vanessa takes it, standing back up. Vanessa: I have to find those earrings. They mean so much to me. Matt: Have you retraced your steps? Vanessa shoots a look at him. Vanessa: What do you think I have been doing? Matt laughs. Matt: Come on, come on. Now where was the last place you had them on? Vanessa: I had them on sitting at the desk, but I took them off when I was talking to Bridgett on the phone. Matt: Ok. Then what? Vanessa: I grabbed them and headed to the terrace because Maureen had called me about the pool getting clogged up. Matt: Then? Vanessa: Well I went out there -- Matt! We don’t have time for the guessing game. We have a funeral to get to. Matt: Then apparently you don’t want to wear those earrings. Vanessa: (pouting) Matt! Footsteps are heard down the stairs. Enters Maureen. Maureen: What is going on? Matt: Your mom is looking for her earrings. Maureen tucks back her hair to reveal her ears. Maureen: You mean these? Vanessa eyes widen at the sight of the earrings, better yet Maureen’s pierced ears. Vanessa: Maureen?! Maureen: What? Matt: Don’t address your mother like that. Maureen: Sorry. Let me try again, Ma’am? Vanessa walks up on Maureen and touches her ears. Vanessa: Your ears! Maureen: What about them? Matt: Maureen, stop being a smart aleck. Vanessa: Take those earring out now. (hold her hands out) I mean now! Maureen takes them out and hands them Vanessa. Maureen: Take a chill pill, Mom. Vanessa: Excuse me. Young lady, you waltz in here with my earring on but that is not the worst thing, you have pierced ears and you know how I feel about that! Maureen: Mom, I am the only girl in the seventh grade without them. Vanessa: I don’t care if you are the only girl on the planet without them. When I mean no, I mean no! (to Matt) Chime in! Matt is bewildered. Matt: What -- Umm… Hmm… Vanessa: Matt! Maureen: Seems like Dad has not issue with them. Matt: I did not say that. Vanessa: Oh you are so grounded, Maureen. Maureen: What! Mom, no! Vanessa: Yes. Maureen: But what about Emma’s party? I still get to go, right? Vanessa: No. You don’t. The only place you’ll go is from your room straight to school and back for a month. Maureen: A month? Matt: (overlapping) A month? Vanessa: (sternly) A month. Matt: Vanessa… Vanessa: Don’t start with me. I said it a month. Maureen: Fine. Then my punishment can start now when I don’t go to the funeral. Vanessa: You’re going! Maureen: No, I’m grounded so I can start now. Vanessa: Don’t you dare. Don’t you dare throw that back at me. I will tell you when it begins. Maureen and Vanessa start in a screaming match and Matt watches on shaking his head. The doorbell rings but they continue to scream. Matt: You two keep on, I’ll get it. Matt opens the door to reveal Nola and Quint!!! Matt: Nola! Quint! Maureen and Vanessa cease arguing and rush to the door along with Matt. Vanessa: Quinton! Nola! Vanessa hugs Quint and Nola tightly. Quint: Good to see you, Vanessa. Nola: (awkwardly) Yes, Vanessa…good… On Nola and Quint hesitantly grinning, FADE OUT
  10. Thanks for reading. Guiding Light's death has affected me in that I feel now that I have to continue on with the story, this show that has impacted me to write, legacy. Sam dies (while skiing with Marah in some of her friends) during an avalanche. He buried alive while saving Marah and pushing her to safety. The avalanche manages to push her downhill some more and she survives with just a broken leg. I try to post at least 3 times a week. Keep watching, its moving slow now but story is about to pick up and new characters are about to woven into the canvas and they all have huge impacts on the show.
  11. INT. TOWERS – DAY Michelle, Danny, and Ed continue to eat when Danny rejoins. Michelle: (anxious) What did they say? Ed: Michelle, give him time. Danny: You were right, Ed. The FCC the plane had been tampered with. Michelle: What? Are you kidding me? Someone planned this? Who would do something like this -- target Uncle Mike? Ed: Sure it had something to do with the investigation on the mob activity in DC. (tosses his napkin on the table in rage) I told him not to get involved. I had a bad feeling from day one. Rick: But Dad, that was Uncle Mike. You know he always had to do the right thing. Ed: But it cost him his life. Danny: Well I can look into it if you want me too. Call some old friends in the mob-- Michelle: OH NO! Hell no. You left that lifestyle behind and I don’t want you going back to it. Danny: But it’s for the family. Michelle: So what. I’d rather be left in the dark than you getting back involved with the mob. Let’s just leave it up to the FBI to figure it out. Ed: She is right, Danny. We don’t need no more bad news no time soon. Let’s see what the FBI will do before we make drastic decisions like that. Rick: This topic is going to have to take a back seat since we need to heading to church now. (he gets up) You guys go ahead to the car, I am going to pay the bill. Rick whips out his Visa card and heads to the cashier. Ed, Michelle, and Danny excuse themselves heading to the elevator. CUT TO: INT. JESSUP FARM – DAY – LIVING ROOM Cassie opens the door to Reva, Josh, Baby Henry, and Shayne. She greets each one of them as they enter inside. Cassie: Sorry everyone that we are running a little late. RJ refuses to wear the suit I picked for him. Josh: Maybe I should go and help him? Cassie: I wouldn’t even bother. RJ is a preteen now, I doubt he’ll even listen. Reva: We know about that. They all laugh. Cassie leads them to the couches where they all have a seat. Cassie: Did anyone want anything to eat? I cooked a nice breakfast this morning. Reva: I don’t even think I can eat with this funeral. Cassie takes Henry from Shayne and starts playing with him. A combination of weird faces and bouncing him on her knee. Cassie: Weird, huh? I just can’t believe that Sam is dead. I just can’t. He was such a sweet boy. Josh: And I can’t thank him enough for saving Marah. Cassie: Neither can I. (looking around) Where is Marah? Reva: She’s not coming. I told her it is best to steer clear from Olivia as long as she can. Cassie: Reva, come on. I think that Marah should be there. She was friends with Sam, she even dated him at one point. She has every right to be there. And Sam would want her there. Reva: We know that but it’s what OLIVIA wants. This is more like the Olivia show than anything. And I don’t know how much I can bear of her actions against Marah. Causing her to lose her job in Paris— Cassie: What! Reva: So I guess your partner did not tell you? She has Marah fired La Bella. Guess she had friends in the higher ups. Cassie: Poor Marah. Shayne: It is. I’m growing sick of her moping around the room like she’s dead. Cassie: Then maybe Marah should start her own line. Reva: We tried. She refuses to take money from any of us. Cassie: Then what can we do? Reva: I have no clue but we better come up with something quick. I don’t know how much longer I can take of her locking herself up in that room. Cassie: We’ll figure something out. Is Jeffrey joining us? Reva: He’s at the church with Olivia and Natalia. She needs him more than anything. Cassie: Is Ava coming? Shayne: She’s suppose to. Cassie: Good, good. RJ slumps down the stairs and presents himself in front of everyone. He is not too eager about his outfit and slicked back hair. Reva: RJ, you look so handsome! RJ: (dully) Thanks, Aunt Reva. Reva grabs RJ by the arm, drawing him closer to her. Reva: (pushing his head up) Hold your head up! You’re a Shayne. We never hold our heads down. We have too much spirit for that. RJ lights up at his aunt’s encouraging words. Reva: (standing up) Now come on here and let’s go get you something to eat. Reva starts leads RJ into the kitchen. Cassie: Thanks, Reva. Reva: No problem, sis. Reva & RJ exit into the kitchen. Josh; That’s RJ for you. Cassie: Hasn’t changed a bit. (to Shayne) So what have you been up to? Shayne: Nothing much. Cassie: Yeah right. I heard that Ed wants to join the staff at Cedars due to your work you did in the Peace Corps. Whoever would’ve thought that Shayne Lewis would be a doctor? Shayne: (smiling) Who says I was going to take it. Cassie: You better! You’re smart, a good people’s person, and easy on the eyes. I am sure many women in Springfield would love for you to treat them. And again, this would be good for you to put your Peace Corps work to good use. You didn’t go over there for 3-4 years for nothing. Use those skills for the greater good. The doorbell rings. Cassie: Excuse me. Cassie gets up, holding Henry still, and head to the door. Cassie: Who is it? Frank: (O.C.) Frank. Cassie opens the door to Frank. Frank is impressed at the sight of her holding the baby. Frank: (playing baby Henry) Well aren’t you lucky to have such a beautiful woman hold you, Grandson. Must be the Cooper gene. Cassie blushes. She and Frank stare deep, longing into each other eyes. CUT TO INT. CHURCH – DAY Olivia directs the ushers on where to place memorabilia of the deceased throughout the church. Natalia and Jeffrey sit in a pew nearby, watching. Olivia: I don’t want that picture of my brother there, put it over there... Usher #1 is done as he is told and moves the picture where Olivia points out. Olivia: (to Usher #2) Don’t put the flower like that! They go like this. (she walks up and arranges some of the flowers)...See what I am saying. Usher #2: Yes Ms. Spencer. Olivia: Good. Now do the rest like that. Jeffrey: Someone is acting like a Nazi today. Natalia: And you see that I am just going to steer clear from her until the funeral. Usher #3 walks out the back with candles in his hands, sending Olivia over the edge. Olivia: (to Usher #3) My God these are not the candles I asked for! These are cheap! (she snatches them from him and tossed them on the floor) I want good wax candles! Not that crap from the dollar store! This is funeral! Not some backwoods family reunion! Can anyone get one thing right?! Jeffrey: That’s our cue. Jeffrey and Natalia grab Olivia, leading her to the lobby. Natalia: Enough, Olivia. These men are doing just fine. They are here to help. Olivia: No, what they are doing is trying to put on a circus. Without my direction— Jeffrey: The funeral would still be good. You are over thinking and over working yourself. Olivia: (breaks free of their grip and turns to them) NO I AM NOT! CAN I JUST THROUGH— Natalia: Inside voice. Olivia: (calming down) Can I just through a nice funeral for my brother. Jeffrey: The thing is that this isn’t just your brother’s funeral. The ceremony is also shared by the Bauers too. You keep forgetting that. Olivia: …You’re right. I apologize. I’m a wrong as always. (getting emotional) Excuse me for trying to give Sam something nice and special! Excuse— The door to the church open and wobbling in on her crutches is Marah. And on Olivia’s utter disbelief, FADE OUT

I just need sometime to take this all in. I can't believe that I am actually burying my brother today. Natalia: (reaches out to comfort her) Oh, honey. Olivia pushes Natalia away and starts to break down. Olivia: No, NO! I can't accept it. I can't accept that I am burying by baby brother. I was suppose to go before him. Sam is suppose to live a long, happy, meaningful life. He was the one to go on have kids. He was the one who was to make a difference in the world. WHY NOT ME?! Natalia pulls out her handkerchief and goes for Olivia's face when again Olivia pushes her away. Olivia: Could you STOP?! Natalia: I'm trying to help you. Olivia: I don't need help. What I need is Sam. Can you bring him back? Natalia: No... Olivia: THEN YOU CAN'T HELP ME! Olivia storms off into the church leaving Natalia in deep thought and sorrow. INT. TOWERS - DAY Rick and Ed sit a table eating breakfast and chatting over the current events. Ed: So glad that Alan dropped those charges. Rick: I'm surprised if anything. That man normally does not back down to anyone. Ed: Well there is a first for everything. Rick: And that is a first. A waiter comes to their table to pour them another cup of coffee. Rick: (to waiter) Thanks. (to Ed) But I want to commend you on allowing Olivia to join Sam's funeral with all our family. Ed: No problem. We all might as well mourn all these people together. They were so loved by many of us. Rick: True. Nearby, the elevator door opens and Danny and Michelle step off. Michelle and Ed spot each other and Michelle rushes in her father's arms. Michelle: (hysterical) Dad, I can't believe it. I just can't. Aunt Meta, Aunt Trudy, Uncle Bruce, Hope, and Uncle Mike. This is a tragedy. Ed: (consoling her) I know, I know. But we will get through this. (to Danny) Hi Danny. Danny: Hi Ed and Rick. Rick: Good to see you Danny. Danny's phone goes off. He looks at his phone. Danny: It's my friend Bob from the FCC. Judge: It's rich people like you that think you can manipulate the system and people's lives. You should be ashamed! Do you hear me?! Alan nods his head in agreement. Clearly she thinks she's too good for Springfield. Marah: I am too good. Marah turns back away from them. Shayne: But when you get there you are going to get a rude awakening. I heard your mother is back in town. How is she doing? Daisy: I don't know. Don't care to be honest. I haven't really spoken to her myself. Blake: Oh you two well make up soon. (to Rafe) And how are you? Rafe: I'm fine, Blake. Clarissa runs over and hugs Rafe. Rafe: Hey Clarissa. Blake: (realizing she has yet to introduce her son) Oh! Daisy, Rafe, meet my sons, Jason & Kevin; Daisy, you remember them don't you? They've just returned back from England and are here to attend Springfield U with you all in the fall. They've been in England with their great-grandma, Barbara. Daisy: How great! Daisy shakes Jason's hand. And then Kevin, who is shy and slouching around in the background. Daisy smiles to ease his pains and Kevin is immediately stricken by her smile. Kevin: It looks as if you were struggling with that cooler. Let me help you with that. Daisy: Thanks. Kevin grabs the cooler and Daisy leads him into the park followed by Rafe, Jason, and Clarissa. Blake: (about Kevin) Such a gentleman. EXT. BAUER HOME - DAY Alan Michael, still hidden behind the bushes looks in at Ed and Rick. For a second, he looks as he is going to go for and ring the doorbell when a car pulls up, ending the moment. Alan Michael goes back into hiding in the bushes. Rushing down the driveway is Phillip and Beth. Rick opens the door to greet and embrace them. Alan Michael still watches on from a far. Rick: What are you guys doing here? Phillip: To pick you guys up. Is everything ready? Rick: I was going to take my car. And plus me and my dad in the car with Alan... Phillip: Aw come on. Beth, help. Beth: Rick, come on. Please, for me. Ed interjects into the conversation. Ed: Go ahead. Plus I am waiting on Michelle to call back. She had another call from the D.C. It was probably Meta. Rick: Dad, you sure? Ed: (laughing) This is so awkward for you to ask me for permission. Go! I can handle it and get things into the car. If not, Michelle and Danny should be here from Monticello by the time everything gets done. Phillip: How are Danny and Michelle? Ed: Great. Now that Danny won the mayor position in Monticello, things are going well. That town could use him to help clean up its high crime rates. Plus their closer to home. I would've preferred Bay City, Oakdale, Somerset, or Henderson but I can deal with Monticello. Rick: Well I will call you, Dad, to check up on things every now and then. (grabs coat) Bye, Dad. Rick, Beth, and Phillip depart. We hear Alan moan (assuming from the sight of Rick) and the car pulls off. Ed closes the door. Alan Michael comes from the bushes and approaches the door yet again. Just as he is about the push the doorbell the telephone rings from inside. A-M peers inside the nearby window, listening in. Ed is on the phone, talking to someone. It's pretty serious. Ed: Michelle...breathe, honey. I can't understand you through sobs...Michelle! A-M is worried. It's now or never. He rings the doorbell. Ed: (to Michelle) Collect yourself and I will be back. (rushes to the door) Who is it? Ed opens the door and is bewildered to see A-M standing in from the of the door. Ed:...Alan Michael? A-M: Hey, Uncle Ed. I'm home.
