  1. I have absolutely no idea about the spoiler for today that went "Luke and Tracy begin a new chapter" because I cannot, for the life of me figure out what the new chapter was. They were on the plane Tracy kept flashing back to Luke's declaration of love and Luke was flirting with the flight attendant. Nothing happened!?!?!

It looked a bit differently to me. I think the entire episode for them today was a set-up. Luke learning that he unwittingly left Robin behind is going to come up, and Tracy being the one to want to go back, is significant. I also didn't see any amount of flirting over the usual you'd expect from Luke - not anything near what we've seen in the past.

I think it was a new chapter. Tracy still doesn't believe Luke, and she assumes he's forgotten everything he promised. Luke, for his part, was completely focused on the fact that he and Tracy survived. None of his behaviour was at her expense. If Luke can be guilty of anything, it's being oblivious. But when the suggestion came about that they go back, Luke was immediately concerned that Tracy not put herself in danger.

Luke needs a clue (or twenty) for sure, but if we're going to get their version of 'happily ever after', it's not going to come at once.

  2. That was too funny. Michael Logan obviously loves this vet group because his interviews are always so interesting and he knows his stuff. I'd love to see Scott make a play for Tracy just to PO Luke. The last time it was just the three of them, it was the Black & White Ball, and they were the very best part.

  3. It doesn't matter if you're in the minority, it's your opinion. Personally, I've never understood the American gun culture, and I doubt that will ever change. Tracy owning a gun and being a licensed owner was a complete plot-point for the AJ situation. I know in my country, when someone dies, the guns can only be inherited by a member of the family with a gun license. Give that, AJ using a gun of Edward's wouldn't be possible, so they had to look elsewhere. I have no idea what the laws are in New York on the matter. That being said if Tracy knows how to use a gun, then firing it and hitting Jerry's shoulder means one of two things - either she sucks as a shooter and shouldn't have a licence, OR when a real person is involved, she has a really hard time pulling the trigger. Even if it's someone she despises like Jerry, she has a problem with it. So in this regard, it's not that OOC for her.

She's been Tracy Spencer on and off for the better part of a decade, so I imagine her comfort level with guns and violence has been altered along the way. Even in the face of this though, Luke is quick to point out that her brain and her tongue are her most lethal weapons.

  4. As much as I love LuNacy - and I do - the best line of the episode was "I'll give your regards to Bobbie." SOOOOO glad they remembered that tidbit of history, even though this guy is no where near the Jerry that Bobbie fell in love with. (I'm still saying he's an impostor.)

  5. Oh my freaking god! TG tells TV guide that Luke wants to give Tracy the ''whole enchilada." He comes out as anti LnL reunion... AND NOW SOD is saying Luke and Tracy 'begin a new chapter in their lives?!?!?' I am dying here people! Dying! Could this actually be happening?! I haven't watched in forever.. I no longer recognize all the characters... But if GH does this... I will come back. Really, I will! Come on RC go there...... Please! I dare you.

I knew you'd be back when the time came, Sweetie. tongue.png

What is SOD saying? I've been swamped the last few days with r/l. Sorry if this page got hijacked. It certainly wasn't my intention. I do see around the dial that LuNacy fans are ecstatic with today's show. I haven't seen it yet but I can't wait. I'm hoping we are going to get the romance we've needed - there's been enough time now that we can start another chapter.

  6. Oh, hey J, nice to see you again. I've missed our chatting/sparring.

I've got to run out to a meeting. I haven't read your epistle, which I'm sure is full of all sorts of ways I'm wrong, so I'll read it later.

Two things, though. Fist, I must thank you for reminding me why I left the soap boards in the first place. I don't deal well with fools, and the lemmings I've been reading these last couple of days are enough to drive any sane person over the edge.

And secondly, and this is not facetious in the least, I truly do admire your way of taking something small and insignificant and making it into something of substance. That speaks to your talent as an actor. I approach things academically - taking the larger facts and breaking it down to their logical parts. I honestly admire your abilities to add nuance and layer. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to see you on the stage, bringing the written word to life. I admire actors, and I know I can't do what you do. Some of our best conversations have been the meeting of the minds on this matter, when fandom hasn't held sway. Those I truly miss.

  7. Nope, lol.... and one person in particular is the most fascinating spin doctor I've ever seen. He should get employed for that - taking a passing comment and turning it into a guarantee.

I do hope the writers pick up on what TG said about Alexis and Ava - they are very interesting characters and I would love to see more of Luke, and Tracy of course, with the morally grey. Neither are villains, neither are heros, but that middle ground is IMO the most fascinating of all. I must admit, I've enjoyed Ava right from the beginning. And I really like her Mrs. Robinson stuff. If you're going to play fantasy, go all the way.

  8. It was. It was nice for LnL. It was nice for Lunacy. It was nice for potential pairings in Luke's future. I think there was just an unfortunate game of telephone happening last night that pissed so many off. I think cooler heads should prevail now.

I thought the interview was exactly the right tone. People like to rewrite history, but TG wasn't having any of that. IF..... a whole lot of 'ifs'... they were to straighten out the character of Laura, THEN there might be a possibility for that pairing, but as it stands now, it's not happening. That makes complete sense. The 90's were horrible for the character, and TG is right, Luke isn't a novelty anymore. The Anti-hero is the norm at GH. He is only unique because he was the first. Domesticate him again and it's game over.

I really did like what was said on the matter of LuNacy. TPTB, TG and JE all said they had to break the pairing down to bring it back to life. I'm glad he also said the issues between LuNacy have been worked to death, and it's time for them to move on. I hope the writers are on that one. LuNacy is that unique pairing that supports each other but doesn't have to be the story for the other. That's how it works in real life, but somehow soaps don't do that. I can't wait to see how they act out Luke telling Tracy that he's giving her everything she wants.

Tracy also told Connie weeks ago, that Luke was always there in the crisis and helped her solve her problems. Once this poisoning story is over, I wonder if he's going to return the favour and help her with any problems at ELQ. I always thought he would be great as the background person getting the dirt on whomever Tracy needed to squash. It would play to both their strengths, and it would be entertaining as all get-out.

As for Tracy and the comments made about her this past 24-48 hours, again people forget. With Marco she was always getting herself into situations, and she's already copped to having a gun and knowing how to use it. She has never been only boardroom because most of her life she was kept out of the boardroom. She's handled herself in some pretty hard situations, and usually without back-up. She might not be part of the Adventure Crew (though one wonders if Monty had just given her that measly $50 raise, what Tracy might have done in that era) but she's certainly not incapable.

  9. BTW reading this I have no idea why people were going so INSANE online last night and ready to lynch Tony Geary. He's respectful here.

Maybe comparing some of the LnL fans to kids was a little harsh, but if you read what some of those fans write online...he has a point.

    *Whatever*

Oh, I can answer that one. A poster named "J", whom we can probably guess, helped flame the fire by telling everyone on a small LnL obsession board what was in the interview, claiming pre-knowledge. He was extremely selective in what he told them, and some of it was accurate but completely out of context. Then this same poster went on to criticize Michael Logan of being wrong most of the time but being TG's mouthpiece anyway. After everyone got riled up, this same small group of people went forward on twitter, FB, texting GH/TPTB, and posting on other soap boards, calling for TG's firing, Luke's death, and a whole host of other things. Even going so far as trying to contact JE to tell her SHE had nerve rewriting her dialogue on Monday to exclude any mention of Laura - 'cause... you know... JE rewrites everything. blink.png In these scenarios, of course, GF is a victim needing the protection of these zealots, and TG/JE are always the guilty party bent on destroying GF/Laura.

I was up through the night and googled this interview. That was what I found, and after reading some of this horse sh!t, and I can tell you, we LuNacy fans might call ourselves "Lunatics", but that group is truly insane. The seem to forget this is a job to the actors, not a way of life, and these fans are EXACTLY the overgrown children TG talks about - if they can't get their way, erroneously assuming they are the only voice there is (and certainly believing them are the TRUE voice of fandom), they will threaten and hate on everything else. It's classic toy-box - I'm taking my marbles and going home, but not before I throw them at you.

TG compared a selective group of fans to children, and he was absolutely right. I read their childishness and laughed most of the night.

  10. Agreed and agreed.... no pity for people who set themselves up and willingly buy the BS out of desperation, then try to turn themselves into victims.

So, onwards and upwards. I did see a spoiler that suggested Anna, Robert, Luke and Tracy would be cavorting at some point. That will be fun. Tracy and Robert have seriously fun chemistry, and there is a lot of history between the four of them, sexual and otherwise. Through Duke and Holly into the mix, and make Tracy secure in Luke's affections, and that would be a very fun group. Add Sean and Monica and I'd be in heaven. Sean always was the Monica pairing I liked best.

  11. So nice to see Tracy calling the shots in today's show, and Luke being so worried about her sneaking around Cassidine Island. She didn't tell him how she found him, and I wonder if we will hear it. He also didn't question Olivia's vision or tell Tracy it was ridiculous to follow, saying instead "When I'm right, I'm right". I really love how these two take care of each other.

  12. Here's the thing with going around the dial looking for LuNacy stuff: what I'm encountering is a bunch of LnL hardliners who are FINALLY coming to the same conclusion we LuNacy fans did almost a decade ago, and they are now being very bitter and resentful, even though it's been pretty clear for a very long time that Luke is not returning to Laura. So the reaction is two fold, either bitter and 'want someone else' because Tracy is the one pairing that had critics and viewers alike saying "Laura who?", or they have chosen to ignore it in the desire to pretend that if they don't acknowledge Luke's preference for Tracy, then it's not happening.

Either way, it's going to take some time for people to get talking about LuNacy and excited for what seems to be growing. TPTB promised TG/JE LuNacy, and we are starting to see that promise come to life.

And sorry about being shut down, ILTQ. That's frustrating. I hope something opens up for you.

  13. I bring you some of the spoilers I've seen around the dial....

    - Tracy finds Luke (happens today) and wants them to get out of there, but Luke tells her the cure is almost ready and while she's sneaking around the Cassidine complex, she learns that is the case.

    - Luke is really happy to see Tracy and tells her how much he loves her and wishes he could give her everything she wanted

    - Jerry only give Luke a bit of the cure, but Tracy puts a gun to Jerry and demands he give Luke the whole shot

I'm really looking forward the Action Mama, and Luke finally fessing up to how much he truly loves her (it's been obvious for months, now just say the damn words already). I haven't seen todays show yet, but I'm glad TG is back from vacation.

  14. Yeah, I was hoping Lulu would hand over the baby. I don't know why they didn't because that was such a natural thing to do at the moment. It actually felt awkward that she didn't hold Georgie/Connie.

Funny, it looks that way, and both TG and JE have said TPTB have told them it's heading that way. Of course it's a matter of wait and see, but Tracy seems to be Luke's focus. I've been around the dial, and even the anti-LuNanacy hardliners who tried to spin the kiss from Luke's last visit as a 'goodbye', are silent on the whole "I need Spanks".

  15. Just saw GH. JE truly does gah-gah over babies. It's so cute.

Tracy and Olivia were just the right amount of OTT with Olivia's vision. So cute, "I needs spanks... why would the guy need a girdle, he's as skinny as a rail", lol.

Next week we have LuNacy again. I can't wait.

  16. Scroll down until you are one past the previews of Lulu acknowledging the baby is Maxie's. The next one has three pictures of Emma, including her laughing and smiling in the middle. The picture to the right is Luke lying in a large wooden bad with just a blanket, and the person standing at the foot of the bed is Tracy dressed as what looks to be a repair man.

As for bake sales, mall food courts are often used up here. Or the lobbies of office towers, though not as popular. Contact your local Girl Scouts or church youth group leaders, they might have suggestions for you and will know the lay of the land.

  17. Nah... Tracy is the baby's third grandmother, for all intents and purposes. IF that child was a real Lante baby, she would have connections to every family in town, including the Qs through Tracy. It's pretty apparent that we are heading back to LuNacy, with (finger's crossed) hopefully more romance and couple build-up than they've received in a long time, which means the potential for Tracy to be there for Lulu as she looses yet another child. Lulu's abortion years ago solidified TraLu, and ER's Lulu needs some serious Tracy-time. Will we get it? Who knows. This team surprises me with the beats they hit and the beats they skip. The way they are setting up this story brings in a lot of the main families, years of friendships and more than a few shared pains. It will be interesting to watch as we go forward. IMO a lot more interesting than Sonny loosing his marbles for the thousandth time, and his sons sharing a lover.

  18. I can just imagine the outrage when Tracy dares to sub for Luke and Laura as Lulu's parental presence. Better have plenty of aspirin on hand. At least I would if I still really posted anywhere, but since I don't.....Eh. They'll just have to get over it.

I hope this Friday isn't Tracy's only day on.

Meh... don't worry about it. Some people will never get with the program that Luke and Laura are a non-couple, even though it's been well over a decade. When people start with the presupposition that they are 'owed' an "L&L Endgame", we aren't deal with rational thought.

In the meantime, the rest of us that enjoy a good yarn for it's intrinsic value can appreciate the continuity that Lulu's stepmother, the one who's subbed for Luke countless times over the past decade, is going to be there. I hope we have a Tracy-holding-the-baby picture. Even though it's not Lulu's actual child, they don't know it and Tracy will love the baby as if she were.

Nice touch that it's Olivia's visions that finally spur Tracy into action. As much as Tracy loves and needs ELQ, she loves and needs her family more, and her family now is Luke, her boys, and Lulu, in that order.
