  1. Proposed cuts will always come from the social safety net. None of these candidates has to directly say they will do away with the social safety net in exact words, it's just built into their platform. Privitizing Social Security and Medicare is always on the table for conservatives.

  2. Ay ReddFoxx, come gitcher bruvuh:

Hahaha. The rap was bad enough, but I really lost it when he started dancing. Rap is not for everyone.

Stairway to Stardom could have its own thread, every one is priceless. This one slayed me this evening:

A new definition to the word warbling. Stairway To Stardom is pure comedy.

They're like a busted, raggedy Four Tops or something.

  3. I see some folks have really gone into overdrive trying to save face for Obama's 57 state comment. (By the way, even if there were 57 primaries and caucuses, that still doesn't explain his error, given that he suggested there were three additional states he did not visit; by the reasoning provided by some above, one would thus assume Obama was referring to a total of 60 contests.)

The major reason why I made such a big deal about this whole thing was because holy hell broke loose when Dan Quayle (who, in contrast to Palin and Bachmann, is not someone who views ignorance as a badge of honor) misspelled "potato." The way the Democrats and the media acted was that this mistake alone made Quayle unfit to serve as dog catcher.

No overdrive, just stating facts. I'm not sure why something that happened over four years ago is really relevant at this point. If you really think the President actually thought there were 57 states, then good for you, but a Google search will show how many primaries and caucuses there are.

As for Quayle, he had a reputation of being dim even when he was in the Senate, so the misspelling thing was not what earned it for him.

  4. I'm glad that you feel an extraordinary foreign policy achievement entitles Barry to a second term. Unfortunately, this was not the view of members of your own party twenty years ago, when unemployment was lower than it is today. Instead, Democrats kept on telling us that foreign policy was virtually irrelevant, that "it's the economy, stupid," and that George H.W. Bush needed to go ASAP. While this is just my opinion, this type of flip-flopping makes Mitt Romney look principled in comparison.

Fact is, he knows how to get the job done and of course post-9/11, those foreign policy issues were more important than before. The notion that him being a "community organizer" was some how a problem fell flat once Bin Laden and even Gaddafi were taken out.

  5. Sadly, it was no joke when America elected a former "community organizer" and Senate back-bencher to the presidency in 2008.

And yet, Bin Laden was gone within two years on the watch of that "community organizer", something a two term former Governor couldn't do in two whole terms.

I'd also like to point out that Obama had more education than McCain and actually held a job outside of the government. McCain has been government employed exclusively.

  6. Romney isn't really the type to be classified by terms such as RINO, he takes whatever position is political advantageous. When he ran against Kennedy for Senate in 1994, he sounded completely different than he does now. Once he started positioning himself to run for President after he got elected Governor, he moved further to the right. It's plausible he's always been very conservative, but just played a long with what works in Massachusetts.

  7. That was a big glass of wine, filled almost to the top, but she had to have something to wash the pills down with. Her coke sniffing gesture was hilarious.

Speaking of open mics, Carly Fiorina's was quite the example of making sure your microphone is off before you trash your opponent's hair.

This shouldn't be funny, but it is, because some people have no qualms at all about doing commercials about personal problems. "These strangers, they quickly became my friends". ROFL.

  9. On the subject singing at funerals, I like this clip

Notice how Asa, Renee and a few other people were not clapping on beat.
