  1. I think most cable companies carry the channel. It's part of the NBC/Universal family of channels. They broadcasted some of the Olympic events that weren't shown on NBC.

DirecTV doesn't have it and CableOne is to cheap to carry it here. I wish I had remembered these were going on so I could have watched them online while they were occuring...

Here's Universal Sports Figure Skating section on their website...

  2. I still have to remind myself to watch the Worlds online - wonder what else that will be shown online and we won't get to watch on TV?

    :o

    I forgot about watching..... sad.gif

I hope that Mirai fares better in 4 years than Kimmi Messiner did.

What ever happened to Kimmi Messiner? With skating not being on TV as much as it used to be I don't keep up with it like I used to.

I have something I'm hoping someone can help me with. There was an ice dancing (I think it was ice dance) pair in the late 80's/early 90's and the female had bright red hair. The problem is I can't remember what either of their names were, and I was wanting to watch some of their performances if there are any on YouTube....

  3. The other skating tour that used to be around Champions on Ice went out of business in 2008.

Neither SOI or COI ever came or come anywhere near where I live and they seem to have quit showing the entire Stars on Ice program on TV....

  4. LADIES FIGURE SKATING

    1st - Rachael Flatt

    2nd - Mirai Nagasu

    3rd - Ashley Wagner

    4th - Sasha Cohen

Did anyone know they hand out pewter for fourth place medals?

    I did.

Sasha Cohen should have just stayed happy with her Olympic Silver Metal, she just embarrassed herself tonight....

  5. Last year's champ Alissa Czisny is in 7th place. For the Olympics the USA can only send 2 ladies.

    Thank goodness.

She's one of the reasons only 2 ladies will advance to the Olympics this year..... <_<

Here are a few neat performances I found that feature Kristi Yamaguchi and Rudy Galindo when they were competing as a pair at Skate America in 1986, Nationals in 1989 and Nationals in 1990.

  6. As horrible as it sounds, I hope Alissa Czisny doesn't make the team. She makes Sasha Cohen and Emanuel Sandu look consistent.

It doesn't sound horrible at all considering her history and record.

I barely know any of the female skaters anymore and find myself more interested in some of the men now because they skate better.

I like watching Pairs too, it's Ice Dancing I've never been able to get real into but I enjoy and have enjoyed watching Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto.

  7. Criminal Minds, Mandy Patinkin Confirm Parting of Ways

As first teased in Michael Ausiello's TCA press tour diary, CBS and Criminal Minds lead Mandy Patinkin have agreed to disagree and thus part ways effective immediately, meaning that fans of the hit crime drama have seen the last of Jason Gideon.

"Mandy Patinkin asked to be released from his role on Criminal Minds. We have honored this request, which was not in any way connected to contract renegotiations or salary issues," says a statement from CBS Paramount Network Television and ABC Studios (which produces Minds). "His departure... will be explained to audiences in an episode to be filmed in the near future and broadcast early next season. We thank Mandy for helping to make Criminal Minds a strong and successful series, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors. A new character will be added to the series for next season."

A statement issued on behalf of Patinkin, in turn, reads: "Due to creative differences, Mandy has asked not to return to Criminal Minds this season. Mandy would like to thank the studios and network for releasing him from the series and he wishes the cast and crew continued success in all of their endeavors and looks forward to continuing to work with the Disney and CBS companies in other capacities in the future."

Not nearly as juicy as the blog from exec producer Ed Bernero posted over the weekend, but few things are.

  8. Isaiah Washington: "I'm Saddened by the Outcome"

    TVGuide.com

Isaiah Washington is "saddened by the outcome" of events started last fall that led to him being let go by Grey's Anatomy. Echoing that which his rep told Ausiello last Friday, Washington tells Entertainment Weekly, "I did everything that the producers and the network asked me to do.... I thought that was going to speak for my future at Grey's, but apparently that wasn't the same vision [they] had for me."

Washington doesn't shed light on Grey'screator Shonda Rhimes' personal take on the sitch — "You have to understand that she's at the helm of one of the top-rated scripted shows" — nor does he say where things stand with him and T.R. Knight, instead saying, "You have to ask T.R. that."

As for how this scrape might impact his career, he says, "I have to go about the business of letting people know what's written about me is not the truth.... It's a horrible misunderstanding what transpired with our show, and it was blown out of proportion. If the naysayers out there feel that some justice has been served and they're happy with the outcome, so be it."

That said, he confirms that one network in particular is "very interested" in working with him, though it's probably not Logo.

  9. Why am I on this kick for cheesy boy bands from the 90s'? LoL

    Who remembers "2-Ge+her?

I remember them and thought the movies and shows MTV did concerning them were really funny.....

Michael Cuccione who played Jason 'Q.T.' McKnight died in 2001....... :(

Here's his wikipedia page that explains how he died........

  10. Dammit Dammit! I uber love Mare Whinningham and I am pissed she was killed off.

I'm pissed that she was killed off too, it seemed like such a stupid thing to do; and I hope they don't just gloss over it happening....

I liked the cast for Private Practice, especially Amy Brenneman and Tim Daily. The California scenes flowed really well, the regular Grey's scenes not so much......
