I'd watch til Spencer and Esme go into the drink, then skip to either Monday this week or last Friday (writing tweaks are evident in that and several episodes from last week in various stories, but PM/EK allegedly began heavily working over the Jason story this week).

    Perfect that’s what I’ll do!

Me, I feel like Laura needs to have some real family so I look favorably on the idea. But, I think Cyrus has been on too long. I love Marty.

Being that far behind are you sure you want to read current show threads?

Oh I’m going to skip ahead to Jason’s return, I was just curious to see how they handled Spencer.

  3. I have to ask you guys that have been watching for a while now in the years I wasn’t watching, how do you feel about Laura’s two brothers? They both feel so random and out of place to me. Did Laura really benefit from two random adult siblings?

Haven’t gotten to Jason’s return yet as I’ve been watching the Spencer/Esme go overboard episodes.

TempSloan looks and acts very much like RealSloan.  That was good casting lol.  I get really annoyed when things are set up so stupidly like Leo babysitting today.  While I didn't mind the scenes we all know Sloan could have just called Eric and said she had an unexpected client (his own nephew!) and needed to meet with them.  It's not like Eric's visit with Holly couldn't wait a few hours.  So, Sloan called the entire town to babysit, but just didn't tell Eric to postpone his visit?  I am being manipulated into liking Leo and it won't work.

The John/Steve/Ava prison break story is just ridiculous.  John/Steve talking about their training is lol.   Does Days not realize we have eyes and although they were quite stealthy in their 30's John/Steve have been members of the AARP for at least a decade and a half now.  I am worried someone's gonna break a hip here.

I just don’t understand why Ava’s family will help do all this but won’t kill Clyde for Ava?

I'll be honest, I have been married for 15 years and probably still have pics of my ex on my Facebook just because I haven't bothered to take them down or it's a group shot with friends lol.  Jada doesn't strike me as someone as lazy as myself, but I don't think it's that weird.   But I also don't hate my ex either lol.   There has to be more to this story than just Bobby walking out on Jada.  Her anger and almost obsession is too much for it to be just that.  I almost imagine Jada eating ice cream in bed looking at those dozens of photos cursing Bobby out nightly lol.

I’ve never deleted a single picture off my Facebook or Instagram. I literally can’t imagine taking time out of my day to remove every one of my exes from pictures I rarely even go back and look at. There’s tons of photos on my phone as well.

I guess if my cheating ex-husband followed me to a new town and started dating my new friend, and ingratiating himself with my new boyfriend, I'd be a bit freaked out.   And, even though my ex-boss and my ex-police partner both have amnesia, I would probably question that as an excuse.  But, I'd still probably be a bit more forthcoming with information about our past.

Also filed under suspension of disbelief, if Steve could get BobEtte's birth certificate in seconds, why couldn't the Seattle police track down Jada as his next of kin when he was in the accident?

Totally agree with the top part. I’d be pissed and weirded out.

I actually don't find KM to be a bad actress.  She is just so bland.  Like pretty and kinda likeable but so boring.

I never found her to be bad per se, but she could not have been more disinterested in at least 95% of her material over the years and it showed onscreen.

I also suspect this swift wrap-up may be the show getting ready to write them out. Honestly I'm fine with that for now. Over half the cast should go.

Im slowly learning the cast bit by bit but there are a [!@#$%^&*] ton of new characters on this show and every day I’m meeting someone new when watching.

Just an aside I have limited exposure to the current Spencer but every time I’ve seen him I’ve found the actor very committed. He’s believable as a Cassadine to me. Moreso than the guy playing Nikolas in these episodes I’m seeing. To be fair my Nikolas viewing has only been limited to Tyler Christopher so it may just be my bias, but I just don’t see or feel Nikolas with this actor.

Well I was wondering if the writers were setting up randomly one day Maxie and Spin to get back together. And now it really seems they slowly, but surely doing so. So I can't help, but wonder if they are FINALLY going to write Maxie out. If so, color me shocked on one hand. On the other hand, at least if they are, they are writing her out with one of her debateable (and alive) couplings.

Okay, I admit...I definitely was enjoying the mystery of if Dex was behind the shooting on Sonny. And it definitely had some tension to it. But that came to a full stop when I was taken out of the scene. Why? Sonny is just now finding out that Michael hired Dex. For some reason, I thought he had already found out. I had totally forgot they never planned that beat to the tale because doesn't everyone know at this point? And then Carly runs in being Carly...and this plot has died quickly. lol.

Speaking of forgot, I forgot Blaze wasn't out. I've been enjoying her and Kristina coming together. Well, Kristina getting a story period. So I'm happy to watch them and knowing more is on the way for them story-wise.

Olivia Jerome...you don't say. The plot thickens.

So far in the random episodes I’ve watched, I haven’t had to deal with Spinelli one of my absolute least favorite characters I’ve ever had to endure on this show. If that’s how she gets written out, that’d be a shame.

Well, I see my player is at it again. Lord, CBS, get your s*t together. Lord Baby Jesus!

That said...thank you, @Antoyne for the tip. I was at least able to watch that brief Ashley/Audra scene. In fact, rewatching all of those scenes with Ashley/Tucker/Audra/Nate as I type. 'Little Girl' took me out. LOL!!! First SLC and now Y&R hehe. I said their first scene Ashley won. This one...hmmm a draw. Though Ashley wins in the end by Tucker lying to Audra.

And also like you...I don't want to like this story, but those Tucker v Ashley scenes in his hotel room were GOOD. Since I'm missing episodes, I missed that Ashley broke into Tucker's room. So THAT was jarring. BUT it was just the chemistry. The sparring between the two of them. Just ED's demeanor. It's Ashley's calm and collected, but she's playing so subtly off. It is piquing my curiosity as much as Tucker's. She IS saying all the right things, but the body language is OFF. But SUBTLY off. I don't feel I am articulating it well. Like the inflection when Ashley talks about their breakup...there's a subtext in that moment where she does not sound like Ashley at all...she sounds like someone ELSE. ED is putting out these clues. Meanwhile, Tucker hit it straight on with him bringing up how Ashley brought into his room...which as he kept bringing up in dialogue I went...now that I think of it...Ashley isn't the type to break into someone's room. Perhaps a lover she hasn't broke up with. So I admit that in spite of myself, I'm getting intrigued with where this is going.

If it DOES turn out to be a split personality, they are already setting Audra up for a fall. I've already mentioned how she has a throughline already of being 'Hot for Teacher' with so many men in her life outside of Kyle, so her scenes with Nate only reinforced that. And he's at least being a good friend. Because it's clear as day that the only weakness Tucker has...even through bad writing...has been his love for Devon/Dominic and his love for Ashley. And it seems the writers are already setting Tucker up to be Ashley's knight in shining armor by him continuing to not tell Audra about every time he runs into Ashley. Hopefully, she lands on her feet. And Ashley WAS kinda creepy at the end of that scene.

Well it was nice to see Seth and Nikki together. And the Jordan storyline lives on.

And while I enjoyed CH showing a little of the Sally Spectra I'm used to from B&B, I do feel I'm over her and Adam. I mean Nick knew to let her be her when it came to her business. But to be fair, I'm over the Nick/Sally/Adam triangle and have been since the baby drama. Which is a shame because at first it had potential even though I didn't like that, either.

So glad you got to get caught up. I figured if anyone else was going to be pulled back in with me it was you 😂😂

I'm going to share something. I hope you don't make me regret it. Kirsten Storms is on a weight loss drug & is losing weight & she is so pleased & in such a good mood, that she is letting the support people do their jobs instead of ignoring them or fighting them & so that makes them very happy. And, in a few weeks maybe we will be able to tell onscreen. So, if you've been praying for KS, alter your prayer to help her keep this up!

This is great news. When I came back for the Bobbie episodes seeing Kirsten was extremely jarring. It wasn’t even just the weight gain, she looked just flat out unhealthy to me. I don’t really follow the lives of soap stars so I’m not sure what her personal life has been like in the years since I dropped GH.

As a viewer I did not notice her frustration as much as Tony’s or Maurice’s. It was there, it played onscreen, but not as clearly disinterested as theirs did. It was especially there when Laura was playing grief and frustration months after Lucky’s death through the Felicia affair, so it kind of suited things.
I think the women who have been the leads on the show have been more professional than the men when it comes to onscreen boredom. In my viewing history almost all the male leads have done it- Tristan, Tony, Maurice, Steve, and Tyler Christopher. Some people it didn’t last long, others it did. But I never really felt that way about Finola, Genie, the three main Carly’s or Brenda, Jane, or even NL as Emily. Only Kelly Monaco has acted as bad onscreen as the men IMO.

You know what male I felt was always there in a scene, even a boring hospital one or relegated to supporting his children? Stuart Damon as Alan. So was John Beradino.

Right? They let Geary have everything he wanted and his contempt onscreen was so present in his last few years.

You make such a good point about certain male leads not even attempting to cover their boredom. Maurice Bernard is still as bad as he ever was to me. But I will say in the episodes I’ve watched, Sonny isn’t completely dominating. Sonny/Carly/Jason is what eventually ran me off the show. I enjoyed Billy Miller’s Jason but then Burton came back and I was over it.

I'm curious if the resolution of Tripp's kidnapping will unravel the mystery surrounding Li's murder and lead to Gabi's exoneration.

I've long speculated that Li might have been mistaken for Tripp. Because he was stabbed from behind in their shared apartment, mere days after an attempt on Tripp's life by the impostor in the ER.

In the old DAYS, Tripp and Wendy would likely be imprisoned in that room until May sweeps. However, Salem's time now moves at breakneck speed, so I anticipate their liberation by next week. Still, I hope their escape signifies the demise of Clyde's scheme, rather than merely a plot twist.

I’m so sick of Clyde. He’s not even an entertaining villain. I literally just want the character killed off and never mentioned again. It’s still nuts to me that EJ DiMera has yet to get revenge on the man who tried to kill him and murdered his sister in law in his home.

Don't get us started on their having a damn live horse in the stables. The show's budget situation for sets at least has improved a lot since the mid-2010s. I'd credit dropping Steve and Howarth, but those were much more recent and Steve is back.

That's Frank. There are people here who don't want to hear it, but, it is what it is.

It’s crazy because Y&R and Days are my main shows. I had genuinely given up on seeing this many different locations on a soap again.

  13. I came back to GH to watch the Bobbie episodes and have picked a few episodes here and there since then; how the hell does GH have so many damn sets?! And they don’t feel claustrophobic.  I’ll be tuning in to see the new writers but I couldn’t not mention just the amount of sets I’ve seen on this show.

nah I think they are satisfied bc she was able to hide her scandal last time but now she is dealing with it in real time. I dont think they care if she is married or not. They are salivating that she is getting a divorce bc this is an instant storyline and not one they have to manufacture

This is exactly what I think. They were just given a storyline gift wrapped,
