  1. Nicole needs to give up this child stealing schemes. She has kidnapped Sam and Evan more times than John Black has changed identities. Nicole is a complex character who can certainly use other schemes other than kidnapping. She has always been resourceful.

I like that Hope and Steve are going forward with their relationship. The fallout is good.

Actually, she has kidnapped Evan but never really got away with Sam but I see what your saying. I knew this would be controversial and it will be even more in upcoming episodes. She is at the end of her rope and that will be really evident next week.

  2. I have a couple questions. Did Child Services or even Patricia ever wonder who is taking care of Joey? Has he been reported missing? Patricia had a connection to Joelle, she must have known about Joey. And speaking of children, why would Amy give out Alyson's phone number to someone over the phone? Nicole has a distinctive voice and I would think anyone at the Pub would know her so why would she give it out.

I really like Kate and Sami banding together for Lucas. Loved the line that Sami said about Kate loving it. It's nice to see them working towards a common goal. Favorite scenes were Billie spirialing out of control. She has a lot on her plate and she is no where near bottom yet.

Yes, Patricia knew of him, especially since Joey ran from the scene to get help when he found Joelle. When he returned, all the cops and EMT's scared him and he heard his mother was dead. He didn't want to go to an orphanage or to strangers so he ran off. Yes, he has been reported missing and there will be some scenes coming to address some things.

The Amy scene I was worried about but the way I imagined it in my head is that Amy be new at the Pub and I had Nicole disguise her voice too. I was going to have her steal something from Orpheus to disguise her voice like Orpheus did during the MCF story but I thought that may be too much.

    Good questions though.

  3. Apparently if you are a hot man, you should not live in Salem because you will die. How about killing a woman (Joelle doesn't count because she wasn't a woman, she was an uber bitch)

Seriously,I don't know, there are a lot of new characters and some of them I just can't get emotionally invested in. I really hate seeing Eric, Austin and now Frankie dead while we have Alyson, Jean, Miranda, Patricia and Alex on board. I don't mean to offend anyone, I just see too many new people and the characters that I am invested in keep turning up dead. I would like to see at least one of those five gone and have more story for the other characters on the canvas like Carrie, Belle, Shawn, and Mike. Please don't be offended

    No offense taken Tishy.

Keep in mind, Patricia and Miranda are recurring and hardly on. Alex has barely been featured as well and either has Jean. Alyson is being featured a bit more so she is the only new character actually starting up a story. Everyone else on the frontburner are characters that have been with us since the beginning. I am kind of shocked you suggested getting rid of Alyson and Jean  .

As for Carrie and Mike, they are only back for brief stints, as of right now. Belle will become more involved in story but I am confused my you mentioning Shawn. Shawn isn't even on SL so I am assuming you meant Philip. If you did, you will be seeing much more of him.

Frankie's death is a way to propel an emotional story we are telling. We hope you will stick with us and see where the journey ends up. Thanks for the comment though :)

  4. Very good episode it was very smooth. I got a couple question if you guys don't mind?

Who is Alison? And why does Nicole want to hurt Carrie?

Nicole is all over the place being bad. I love it.

Did Lucas actually rape that poor girl. My jaw dropped when I read that. I also love how Sami and Lucas will be having a custody battle. I miss these two going at it.

Another surprise for me was Vic, and Maggie, Did I miss that? But I love it. Wow First Steve and Hope and now these two. I was also praying Vic would not have a heart attack having numerous love sessions with Mags. Damn is he on Viagra. Great scenes though. Loved it. So nice and tender.

Great episode guys, I see I'm going to have to read much more often

    Not at all.

Alyson came with her mother, Jean, to Salem in September. She had a brief fling with Eric that produced a child, Sam. Nicole is jealous that she has a child with Eric and feels Eric would want her to raise the child and not some girl he had a one night stand with that kept the fact that they had a child a secret for over a year. Alyson's mother is in a coma right now due to the attack on her life my Michael Myers in October.

Carrie gave up her child with Austin, Evan, last February and the child ended up with Eric and Nicole via Orpheus. Nicole learned how she ended up with Evan and began working with Orpheus to protect the secret (he more or less blackmailed her). Everything was exposed in June and Carrie ended up getting her child back. Eric and Austin died during the cruise ship story and Nicole fell apart and wanted Evan back, feeling she was more of a mother to him and that Eric and Austin would want it that way. Nicole now wants revenge on Carrie and the whole Brady family due to their hypocritical treatment of her.

Sami and Lucas are not involved in a custody battle. Sami is in a coma after being shot and Lucas has the rape story to deal with.

Victor and Maggie have been together off and on for over a year.

    Hope that helps. :)

  5. Good episode. I like that people know about Sami especially Roman. Nice movement there.

The scenes with the Billie reveal, fantastic that Billie is now a DiMera. Great idea. Perfect pacing throughout the episode.

I know a lot of hard work was put into this episode. I write in a diary and I don't write like that in them. There can be a lot said, with little words. I know in the beginning you said it would be a long episode, but this was kinda pushing it. It took me almost ten minutes to read and I am a fast reader. I hope you don't take this in offense, I really don't mean it to be.

    No offense taken, Tishy.

However, this was a double episode and meant to be of long length, regardless of the diary which was only a major focus in the early part of the episode. We really wanted to lay the feelings out so people understood why Hope and Steve went that far. Otherwise, some may have felt it was rushed or may have felt it was too much. That is why the length was long.

Thanks for the feedback though. We're glad you liked the reveals. :)

  6. You know, speaking of Forrest and Abby, why was he on Orpheus' cruise ship to begin with. There seems to be no link between Forrest and why he was there. I was just thinking about it and I didn't know if it was explained. Did I miss it? I guess what I am saying in a roundabout way, what was Forrest's role in the whole MCF storyline?

It was explained a few weeks ago, Tishy. The ISA knew about the cruise ship and were doing their own investigating into the MCF, with Shane as the head. Forrest had already been enlisted in the Lawrence Alamain investigation and they had learned about Abby and Chelsea's kidnapping through Shane. Forrest was sent out by the ISA to help look for Abby and this would actually ease him into his role in protecting Abby and into busting Lawrence. He ended up captured when he got too close to finding her and it worked to his advantage that he was imprisoned with Abby and Chelsea.

We also wanted to use Forrest as kind of a red herring to make readers think he may be involved with the MCF.

    Hope that helps :)

  7. I really liked seeing the Gina/Patch relationship fleshed out. I love Hope and Steve together.

Why is Alex even on the search for Abby? The woman who raised him just died. It doesn't seem like he cares. It was just brought up that she may have been s twin (I won't even go there) but wouldn't he want to find out who the woman who was raised him is before racing across the country? To me it doesn't make sense.

He basically went just to go because Jack had went. He didn't want to stay back as he has nothing else. Plus, he needs to be with Jack when they get word about the tests. He made it clear before that he wanted to be part of a family so this is his way of doing that. The fact that he has hope his real mother is alive is another thing. In his mind, if there was a switch or an impostor, he doesn't know how long that was the case or whatever so he isn't exactly in mourning yet.

The Elizabeth thing will see some answers given today that we are sure will interest everyone and, hopefully, will make this better in everyone's eyes.

  8. Forgive me if this sounds rude.....

Since when did Elizabeth have a sister? And why are we just now hearing about this? I hope that Elizabeth's death isn't going to be cheapened by the sudden appearance of a "twin." That's a Reilly move.....

Not rude at all :) .

It was mentioned on her first episode but only in passing. We threw it out there as a hint.

Nothing will be cheapened. The story is developing and the death still means alot to the story, without a doubt.

  9. Good episode. Love the Victor/Maggie/Greta scenes

I just have a question. Doesn't everyone know that Victor is Greta's father? Wouldn't he be notified as the next of kin when she woke up?

Good question Tishy. The approach I took was that Victor was busy and so was his men as a result of the shootout and all so it was hard to reach him. I was thinking about that while writing but never thought of adding a line during editing. Maybe it was the SON outage and all that threw me off. I added a line explaining that because it's something that I should've put in initially to avoid confusion.

Thanks for pointing that out :) . It was really helpful.

  10. ahh i see, so what is Abby being treated for? ANd yes I do remeber them winning the Vendtta game right?

And more thing I forgot to metion I loved the little back story that yens gave Ms. Flowers.

So the Dimera child isnt John, now I am going to have to wrack my brain. I guess I'll just wait to see what happends

Chelsea and Abby were ina bad car wreck last November. Abby was paralyzed in the crash and has been struggling to recover ever since.

  11. wow good episode. LOVED the recap of histories with Forrest and Daphne. Thank you so much. I bet the other son is John.

SO GLAD Steve and Hope are getting" Closer"

Who is Jean? And for the life of me I can't figure out what kind of place is Abby in?

Love the pics you guys use. Very classy and bright.

Jean is Alyson's mother. Jean and Alyson were created by two loyal readers of ours, Tishy and daysfan, as prizes for them finishing first and second in the Vendetta game earlier this year.

Abby is in a normal beachhouse that Dr. Dobbs owns. They wanted to get her out of Salem to prevent distractions and stress to better treat her, only she is learning now what the deal really is with Forrest.

As for the Dimera child, we haven't mentioned if it's a son or daughter yet but I can tell you it's not John. The character of John was changed back into Roman last year so there really isn't a John Black.

  12. I did not like Jack looking like an idiot in this episode, IMO.

But, I am really interested in who Tony's new sibling will be. Have their been any hints that I missed, that I should know about?

Nope. No hints so you are as in the dark as others.

Sorry you feel that way about Jack. Perhaps what is coming will turn you around in regards to him. :)

  13. WOW. I LOVE the Victor/Stefano/Oprhues storyline. 3 titians in war. I love it. Though i don't know much about O, he was on in the 80's right?

Also I find it hard to believe that Stefano waited so long,( all the bombs and what not) before striking back at his enemies. Even his daughter was killed, and he didn't act? Who was the daughter BTW?

Also When I was reading the first few scenes of the Titian.s I said to myself this has a Dallas feel to it, and Sure nuff Victor was on the phone to the Texas Governor. Nice touch.

I am also looking forward to see what this Liz Curtis is all about. I know she is from the 80's as well and hope you guys make it east for new reader like me to get to know her.

I had to laugh my ass off at TROUT MOUTH!!

Great episode and I guess it's official the censors have been relaxed.

Orpheus was on during the period of 1986-1987. He has a long history for such a short period of time he is on. I recommend checking out some of our late June/early July episodes. They tell alot about his past and current history.

We have not killed any of Stefano's children. However, Victor did blow up a warehouse that Lexie was in that nearly killed her. It was meant for Stefano and that was being alluded to in this episode.

As for Liz, we will do our best but if you have further questions about Liz, just ask and we will help you.

  14. Always love a good cat fight. I can tell Elizabeth is not American what is she and you mentioned she was a love from years ago, is this true on the real Days or something you two did?

I LOVE NICOLE AND I REALLY love this vendetta against the saint Brady's Can't wait to see where this one goes.

Now me being new to the blog I have a few questions if yens don't mind? Who is Miranda and do we know Forrest's agenda? Is Abby in re hab?

I also wonder who this mysterious person is stalking Lucas at the hospital

    Good episode guys

Elizabeth is European. She is being written as being from England. She was Jack's high school sweetheart but we really haven't gotten into the details yet. Nothing like this was ever mentioned on Days but not much was known about Jack's past prior to his coming to Salem anyway other then him wanting to follow in Harper's, his believed father at the time, footsteps.

Miranda is an ISA agent. She is a former partner of Shane and she was recently revealed as Kate's sister. She knows quite a bit about Kate's past and we haven't gotten into the details yet there. Forrest's agenda has been hinted at but is not completely known. All that is known is he is working with Miranda on a "mission' and Miranda is afraid the mission will be compromised because Abby bears some resemblance to this Sylvia woman he has a picture of in his wallet. As for Abby, Forrest got a doctor, Dr. Dobbs, to put her in his experimental treatment for paralysis program. She is making great progress but Forrest also used Dr. Dobbs to help get Abby out of Salem for some unknown reason.

    Hope that helps.

  15. I'm slowly trying to get back into SLl ol. I just read this episode and I'm totally confused but I guess that's expected. Still sad to see my Jennifer is still long gone. But I love that you're bringing back Liz Chandler, though I don't get what she has to do with the story lol.

Glad your getting back into it. Amello.

Monday and Tuesday will explain the Liz part of the story. You've missed alot but if you need any help getting into the stories, let Roman or me know and we will help you :)

  16. You know, one thing I like about your blog is your realistic tones, great plot twists and good dialog. It can be a bit too much at times(meaning the length of episodes, but who am I to talk, I write manifest destiny at times too), but you know what, it's obvious that you two put in a lot of hard work to make sure your blog is of a high quality.

Keep up the good work guys.

Thanks Ryan. We appreciate that. :)

We both just try to produce the quality drama that we all expect from soaps, especially Days. As for episode length, you will notice big changes next week in that regard. We are working on tightening up things a bit and we think that will please many people.

  17. Just wanted to say that I've been catching up on your blog starting around the funeral episodes, and I love your vision for Days. It is absolutely perfect in my eyes, exactly what I want to see on screen. I love the way you guys write the couples as strong characters but keep the emotion and romance. The dialogue is amazing, you guys clearly have a great talent for strong emotional scenes and you stay true to history. Your version of Roman Brady, the strong but vulnerable man on a warpath to avenge the deaths of his "babies" is exactly how I want to see John/Roman behave. I love that Sami is a heroine but still feisty and I love the dynamic that all the Brady siblings have with each other. Keep up with the great work, it is a heck of a lot better than what the real Days has to offer.

PS: The best thing No Ejami/Santeen and No Shelle lol. :D

    Thanks JtSmarts :) .

Hope to see you reading and commenting more often. There is great things ahead.

  18. Very well written....mde me cry. Nie touch adding the Izzy part. I have to ask though, where is Belle & carrie? Is austin going to have a service too? But thnx for making me blubber!!!! I had tears running down my fcae

They were there, Tishy. Roman just didn't mention them, specifically in an effort to keep length down.

I had them both at the Pub in Wednesday's episode so we were hoping people would just assume they were still there, which they were.

They will be mentioned more specifically in today's and next week's episodes. Austin had his cremation service on Wednesday. Carrie honored his wishes to be cremated so she held a private ceremony with only Kate, Belle, and Philip there. Lucas and Will did not come because Lucas was out of it and Will didn't want to leave him. There will be another memorial of sorts for Austin coming up soon, as well.

Glad you enjoyed it. Roman really did a nice job with it. He has a talent for these funeral episodes, that's for sure.

  19. Roman deserves everything that he has coming to him. He had the power to stop Orpheus and now his two kids are dead and the father of his grandchild is dead. Ok, maybe Austin and Eric's death's he couldn't prevent, but Sami's he definately could have. I have no pity for him whatsoever. To me, I don't see how this can be redeemable and if I was Marlena, I would kick him to the curb.

I would love to see the grieving process of Lucas, Belle, and carrie, even Nicole. They lost a lot and I hope it's addressed.

I love the cassie and Stefano interation, it was great! Plus Tony and Lexie, that is the REAL Tony, the one I fell in love with so many years ago and not a cartoon. Exellent fleshing out of his character in that one scene, it really made me smile. Again, great episode and I can't wait to see more Tony!

Glad you liked it. The Dimera story should be something you will enjoy!

We have already dealt a great deal with the grieving process of those characters and we will continue to do so going forward. It's crucial to our stories so you will see it.

  20. Great episode, its well written. I like how you are going into Lucas' past. Liked Maggie getting involved, she should. I am curious as to who Bo was talking too, was it a Ewing brother?

Great to see you commenting, Tishy. :)

Things have been dead lately so I was pleasantly surprised to

    see a comment.

This episode was written by Roman and I thought he did a superb job

with expressing Roman's anguish and feelings. This whole episode really

tapped well into character's emotions. Glad you liked it. Hope others did too.

  21. This makes me sad. I always caught up on weekends with it and I know you had good ideas and you were just getting going.

Oh well. You have to do what is best for you. I hope you still read the other blogs and continue to offer input. You are a great writer with great ideas so you commenting always helps. Your blog and writing will be missed. I hope someday you follow through with this in some capacity. :)
