  1. At the end of season 3. Things have really slowed down with longer arc stories. Adam is truly a Bastard. I do like Kirby and Jeff and the rivalry between Alexis and Blake is really heating up.

Fallon hair really thinne out this season. And Mark should have left the series a long time ago. I also wonder why Heather Locklear keeps dropping in and out. I know she had TJ Hooker at the time.

I am also very glad Fallon and Krsytle make peace. Fallon matured just a bit in this season. I am glad they had jeff front and center this season

  2. Watching the series on Netflix and I really enjoy. The plot is very tight and the writers forget nothing and I love that. I am so glued. Julia Hoffman is in town and controlling Barnabas. I love how she talks. I wonder though, Does anyone know why the series keep going back from black and white episodes to color. It keeps going back and forth.

I had forgotten that there was a 1991 version. I have never seen that version of the show but saw the opening on WoST. I know that there was suppose to be a 2004 version with Alexis Thrope (ex-Cassie, DAYS) but it never aired. It would have been nice to see a DS series reboot.

I also heard there is suppose to be a comic version of DS: http://www.newsarama...ite-110822.html

Unlike Guiding Light, its more realistic for the soap to be in comic form.

It was very good. Its on netflix and me and my honey will be wacthing it soon just as soon as we are done with the orginal version.

  3. I honestly don't care what episodes we got. As long as MOST of them are classics.

If i had to pick some from the 90s - I would say anything with Cindy or Lorna. Other than that, I'm not picky

My Cindy. I miss her. I loved her and Grant together. Cindy went on a long journey on AW and I was so glad to go through it with her. I miss Grant, the orginal Lorna, Spencer, Ryan Carl.

  4. My bf and I recently rewatched season 6 and it's more like trainwreck / watching-out-of-loyalty TV. It's not gripping drama, nor are their clear identifiable characteristics, but it's campy craziness. I remember when David Charvet (Craig) left the show, and Soap Opera Digest made a lil blurb about it, saying "from the moment he joined MP, it looked like he didn't want to be there." So very true!

One thing that made us not enjoy this season as much was the lack of Heather Locklear. She was pregnant in real life, so a lot of her screentime was reduced before and after she had the baby, although I must say they did a pretty good job at covering up her pregnancy (though she constantly wore black). But even after she returned, they did not write Amanda correctly. She seemed to give up on life and not fight. That's not the Amanda we know and love!

And what she does on a whim at the end of this season--- I won't spoil it if you're not there yet--- is just a WTF? moment.

I wish they had included those last 6-7 episodes that were originally supposed to be part of Season 6 on to this DVD set. It's funny how there'll be this mass exodus of characters leaving during the 7th episode into the 7th season, and there'll suddenly be an updated opening & new castmembers. And the focus totally changes in the last season, for the better.

Thanks for not spoiling it. I was wondering why season 6 was so short. I never knew Locklear was preggos in real life I have not noticed anything. I must say I am really enjoying season 6. Way better than season 4 or 5

  5. Season 6 is turning out to be pretty good. I still can't stand Taylor. I can't stand jennifer. The show is weaker with all the core folks gone but it's still good turing out to b e better than season 5. I don't like Craig. Like why is he even there?

  6. Episode 23 of season 5 and man is it good. Jack and Taylor's affair just popped. This story was nicely built up this season with a nice climax. Kimberly's story is getting stupid with this cancer. I wonder if the writers got inspiration for their stories from Rielly at Days. Lot's of love triangles with villains keeping the "couple" apart. I still can't stand Taylor. They've really pulled back from showing Billy/Alison/ and Jake.

  7. 18 episodes into season 5 and I am really enjoying it. More character driven. It's more about relationships this season. Lisa Rinna's character annoys the hell out of me this time around. I love Megan and Samantha and Craig. I also love this story of lovers and friends with Amanda/Peter/Sydney/Taylor/Craig/Kyle. just love them.

Jane had a very nice send off. The cast of season 5 was huge. I guess this was a transitional season as a lot of folks left. It seems Jake and Ali are next. Kyle's brother just came on. I think I remember he and Taylor had an affair or something before.

Anyway, Im still enjoying it. I've gotten used to the slower pacing and more character driven stories.

  8. Four episodes into Season 5 and I am absolutely. loving it. The new characters so far, Kyle, Taylor and Samantha are amazing, each of them unique in their own way (well, Kyle maybe less so, but he's great to look at). The pace has slowed down a bit, there's more character moments, it's well-plotted and it has synergy. Really happy about it until now. Not too excited about Samantha being paired with Billy. She's so light and fun and I feel he's going to drag her down. But Taylor is brilliant. Lisa Rinna's the [!@#$%^&*] (I never thought I would say that!) and the way they're playing with her and her past with Peter is brilliant. Just cannot wait to see where this goes.

I am rewatching it and Season 4 sucked big time and I stopped after a few episodes of Season 5. I cant stand it. But I did watch it the first time around. After watching the first three seasons I can't just get into this season 5. Season 4 killed me. IMO The first three were the best with three being the best of all. I love the story of Billy and Alison!!

NOTHING beats the season 3 finale. That was Melrose at its absolutely peak. Be prepared to see the show slowly go downhill after that as you really cant top that. Season 4 is still pretty great but things decline fast in season 5 as more than half of the core characters exit. That will really leave a hole in MP

My thoughts excatly and its so true. The first three are the best and season 4 was a complete drag

  9. Does any one remember the episode where Lynn was exposed, the who Russell family was there and everyone kept dogging her out but I swear to God Lynn said nothing for like 15 minutes into the episode. She just had her mouth open in shock. I could not believe she did not have anything to say for like 15 minutes. It was so crazy. I'll never for get it.

  10. Did any one here watch the 90 minute episodes. How were they? Were they drgged out? Were scenes Longer? Did the cast grow? Did the storylines move faster? WHat were pundits saying about the 90 minute move at the time.

  11. Oh Wow I had no idea that Donna was up to be killed. Thanks for that info.

The vampire storyline was wierd. They even showed tidbits on screen. I remember patients coming into the hospital with vampire bite like marks

RKK was truly wasted on AW. Re written every time a new HW came on. From Bobby to Shane to God knows who else
