I love him. No other way to put it. And the way he talks about the LGBTQ community in interviews makes me love him even more. I admit to being moved by straight people who are so tolerant, so giving, so loving. There's also not much sexier than a straight guy who's so secure that he can be so open in interviews and with acting choices.

    Thanks -- can't get enough.

  2. BOLD uses the word "mints" in dialogue as if they're Skittles. They're DRUGS, although I long ago stopped expecting honesty from this show.

Joshua Hoffman is limited as an actor, but at least he's something to look at. With the crap scripts on this show, iT's not like I enjoy the "better" actors.

The show clearly wants us to care about RJ's and Luna's relationship, but we don't. I don't know a single person who cares if they break up or if she ends up with Zende.

What they should do is a 911 a la Buck.  Have RJ break up with Luna, then after some introspection, discover he's bisexual. Of course, we can't have that on a show that won't recognize gays in the fashion industry let alone in a core family.

Here you go, yes GH was nominated

    image.png

And as @Errol noted over a decade ago, Josh Griffith is ineligible for WGA awards

    image.png

Just to clarify, I believed you that GH was nominated. I just don't see it as special that DAYS won an award over competition that was ONE other show.

When one thinks of the WGA, one thinks of a credible, prestigious group. I just don't think DAYS' writing is worthy of this prestige. In actuality, the WGA should stop giving the award for daytime soap writing unless/until there's more competition.

Cue all the vicious responses about Carlivati, Alar, or Giddens.  Let's at least try to come up with something creative this time.

-- Did ANY other soap submit? Or is this another case of DAYS being the sole submission?

Regardless, I don't think this award is worth any more than the Emmy for Best Daytime Soap. It's based on less than a handful of episodes, and we all know those eps don't represent what the show is all year.

But hey, Carlivati loves winning awards, so there's that.

-- nuTate has been fine, but today he seemed to be trying too hard to play a teen. He didn't play younger on his first couple episodes. I don't know if that was an actor's choice or if someone gave him a note, but I didn't care for it.

I think EON could be successfully rebooted but I don't think it will & I don't think any others would have a chance in hell of succeeding. I tell this to posters over & over.

I don't see it for EDGE either. It went off the air over 48 years ago! Anyone interested would either be near Social Security or in the niche of people who love soaps so much they know the history of shows that went off the air before they were born.

  6. -- I wish I cared about Brook Lynn and Chase's wedding/marriage.  I don't.

-- Regarding Maurice Benard, I don't think he's coasting or phoning it in or is lazy. I think he's struggling to remember lines, and it's getting worse all the time. Whatever that was on yesterday's show -- those scenes with Sonny and Jason -- was horrific.

I do believe that Althea is a bully. Althea has tried many times to dictate what others should think with bullying tactics.

Would you please listen to yourself? I hate to belabor this, but I think it's a serious charge to call someone a bully -- especially when you provide no proof.

No one can dictate what you think. No one forces you to agree with anyone's opinion here, including Althea's. And "bullying tactics"? I don't even know what that means.

What you have a problem with is Althea's tone. I realize that because I've been criticized for my tone in the past. You don't have to like it, but it's not bullying.

Why?  I think it's a valid thing to talk about.

Everything is valid to talk about, including lead actors like Maura West.

Still, I'm taken aback at not only the number of posts about her, but that there's a serious discussion about whether she belongs on GH. I can name sooooo many characters/actors more deserving of this kind of "evaluation."

Just my opinion, of course. Thought I'd throw in my .02 that Maura West is one of THE greatest daytime actors of all time and that GH would be insane to dump her.

They (Playgirl) went the cheap route by relying on too much natural lighting. Even on an overcast day, natural lighting can be harsh and unflattering, especially to men of a certain age.

    The whole thing looks cheap.

Every day, tens of thousands (or more) guys post hotter and sexier photos on social media.

Playgirl still doesn't know -- or is afraid to recognize -- its main demo. It's all a half-wink to gay guys while giving us nothing. They play to 60+ females watching soaps.

    The whole thing is embarrassing.

And despite everything about the character of Drew and about Cameron Mathison, y’all can’t deny that Daddy is stacked 😍😍😂😂😂

Only a few actors look better with their clothes off. Cameron Mathison looks SO much better.

For a while, CM looked very thin...maybe it was for a role, but he looked ill. Now? He's back to jacked, and I want more of it. Ride, Nina, ride!

  11. Playgirl thoughts:

-- The pics aren't bad, but every one of these guys has hotter photo on their own social media.

-- I don't need nudes, but Playgirl doesn't know how to buy shorts and underwear and workout gear for their models.

-- The group photos are the sexiest. Appreciate the way Christopher Sean splays his legs wide open.

-- Christopher Sean got the best solo photoshoot. I think Paul Tefler and RSW are both incredibly hot, but the photogs failed them.

-- A lot of the interview responses were canned and cliche, but they all acquitted themselves pretty well. Paul Tefler (not surprisingly) came off the best. Anyone following him on social media knows what a solid guy he is -- progressive, gay-friendly, confident in his own skin.

Unless I missed something in reading quickly, Tefler was the only actor who mentioned the word "gay."  He commented on the show featuring gays and acknowledged the gay audience. No one else did. I'm not calling them out, but I do think they intentionally avoid the topic. RSW has to know he's an object of gay lust, but for whatever reason won't go there. I just think It goes to the kind of human Paul Tefler is.

So millionaire (billionaire?) Victoria has to move to the Tacky house?

Like there are no other options for her?

Nick has no house.Victor/Nikki have a room, millionaire Tucker lives in a hotel room-it's embarassing.

Paul, I am so with you on this sets problem. Maybe you and I care more about this than most people, but I think we're right LOL

It's all so disheartening, and it takes me right out of the story.  Everything you mentioned it a problem.

Last week we saw Claire sleeping on the sofa in Victor and Nikki's living room. Couldn't there at least have been a line asking why she wasn't in her room? Or are we just supposed to know she fell asleep on the couch?

The tack house was nicer when it wasn't cramped and filled with stuff. There's no room to move. Victoria living there is a mess. Of course, Tessa and Mariah were finding stuffed animals that they acted like were missing for years. They've been there for only months.

The GCAC? I'm glad that set is back, but having living room furniture THISCLOSE to the dining tables is absurd. Tucker not having his own penthouse is absurd.

Daniel's penthouse? Also looking cramped and filled with stuff. In addition, they move that green couch around every time the set is used.

It will be nearly impossible to move on with life if Althea Davis ignores me! lol But alas. I stand by my statements that B&B will not be cancelled and that Brad Bell is not going anywhere. I watch B&B every day and enjoy it. Today included.

Glad you enjoyed it, but you were not bullied. Someone disagreeing with you is not bullying.

-- In other news, Sean Kanan was LAUGHABLY AWFUL today. I mean, that was sooooooo over-the-top it was ridiculous. I think he got an "Act like a maniac" note from the director.

-- Finn and Hope are insomnia-inducing. Putting two essentially nice and sweet people together is a recipe for hibernation.

  14. I still don't like the Blaze/Natalia storyline at all.

It feels like the writers want us to understand Natalia's feelings/upset about her daughter's sexuality, and fair or not, I'm not here for it. I think it's typical soap writing that's far behind the times.

Would I be happier if Natalia was written as a blatant villain who's an outright bigot? I honestly don't know. I'd probably hate that, too. I just know that Natalia's attitude and ideas make my skin crawl, and I can't give her any passes for her age or her culture or her religion or anything else.

I also hate the way Blaze is being written. ALL of this would be discussed with a performer's team, ALL of it would have answers to every possibility going forward.

Are their stars today who remain closeted? Of course. But that's not the story we're getting or that we're going to get. We're getting a story written for an aged daytime demo that needs its hand held and guided to acceptance. As I said, I'm not here for it.

Compare this to last night's 911 when Buck had a revelatory first gay kiss. I know daytime and primetime are different, but 911 -- although surprising and even shocking -- felt authentic and up-to-date.

  15. I see no similarities between JMM and Leo Howard as Tate. None. I don't think his age is a problem, but I feel like we're watching a different character.

And yeah, it is absurd that we're now told that Holly feels romantic vibes for Tate. It's a 180 degree turn, and it just doesn't work.

The only thing worse than Bradley Bell thinking this is a shocking surprise is reading viewer comments on social media what scream "I KNEW SHEILA WAS ALIVE!!! I KNEW IT!!!"

I really want all of those people to delete their accounts.
