They had a shared childhood experience which doesnt make sense if they were actually closer to 20 years apart. My youngest sister is 17 years younger than me. I was leaving for college a few months after she was born and we werent really raised together bc I was becoming an adult while she was growing up. Thats not the dynamic that Joey described to Vanessa. This is just a case of the actors ages not matching the characters as Joey and Heather are meant to be closer in age

It works for me bc I have a perception of her being young but she looks older She turns 50 this year but definitely looks like she could be mid to late 50s

It’s completely stupid that she’s been dating both men since Dec! That’s a whole 6 months and completely unrealistic that she wouldn’t have made a choice by now. I’m sorry but this would not fly in real life as one of the men would have bowed out by now. It makes no sense that they are monogamous to her with no commitment and there’s been no movement in this story other than throwing Ted back in the mix

What would that accomplish? Writers discourage stuff like that bc they cant use fan fiction submitted to them for obvious reasons. An email paper trail is a lawsuit waiting to happen

It was a different beast back then. Things dont really change until Tamra comes. She's the first real villian of the franchise and ushers in the era of "storylines". Originally the show focused more on the individual women and what was going on in their personal lives but then with Tamra, you'll see a shift more towards the group dynamic and the drama amongst them. She inspired the blueprine that all the shows follow today. I know the early seasons are rough but if you stick with it, you'll see that evolution
