  1. Only politicians with real balls stop to wipe flop sweat and stoop down to drink bottled water in a nationally televised speech.

I don't think he will be as hurt by this as Jindal was (as Jindal did stupid things like mock specific programs, and specific disaster relief, which came back to bite him). But it just confirmed for me that he's an unlikeable windbag who gets by because the GOP needs a token figure.

Paul Ryan did a better job opposite Biden, and that destroyed Ryan. I just don't see it working. It was also a worse performance than Jindal via water bottle alone, not to mention the fact that he kept wiping his face and looked on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

I think you may be right, although some of the Beltway types are already shushing it (then again this same site fawned over Tim [[email protected]#$%^&*] Pawlenty for about 4-8 years)

Probably the most bitter a Speaker of the House has ever looked during a State of the Union. I don't think even Gingrich was that bad.

The weave wasn't that bad on Thursday or Friday. Now, the day Caleb was first shown. Yeah, that weave was so blown out it looked like ME had a kitten on his head.

  4. Tonye Patano is still so good in her guest shot on The Americans. I always thought it was criminal how little OLTL made of her and Frankie Faison. Hope they get more to do on the revival with Destiny's increased role.

I thought she was great on OLTL.

  5. I think I just won't be going back to TWOP for at least 30 days, regardless of when they fix their problems. Their idiot twitter is still doing nothing but posting ads for the dumbass recaps and unstable writers in the face of complaints.

It's a shame. I LOVE their forums, especially the ones at TV Potluck. Such great snark there. I miss everyone :( .

I haven't read their recaps in a long time either - the TAR and Survivor ones used to upset me and it was all downhill from there. It's ironic because some would say the forums are the worst part, but they're what kept me going back. But I don't know now, it is just too much danger.

I logged out and changed my password in the brief interval between attacks, so I think I'm good. I even manually scanned the Mac for malware, though they're usually very safe and can do that job themselves. I just won't trust this machine with that site for a while.

No, they've been hacked or something. I just hope I'm safe on this comp and that it hasn't been infected. I was logged in and I'll have to change that pwd for sure.

They are all awful. Venice is actually one of the better web soaps ive seen, but they clearly didnt have a plan past season one and it shows.

Are any of these web series worth it, though? Most of them are so busy patting themselves on the back for picking up a webcam and filming out doors that there doesn't seem to be much story and drive. Just a bunch of actor having some fun on their off-time.

I'm glad to hear that Latavia is sober (and hope that she doesn't end up being this generation's Florence Ballard). Considering how that selfish-ass family destroyed the 10+ years of hard work that she'd put into that group (I can't even imagine how devastating it must be for that to happen - especially at 18 years old).

There were monitors so you could watch what was going on down on the set; I’ve forgotten the circumstances, but during this particular rehearsal, we had a small child in a scene -- maybe about three years old. Sam became fixated by this kid on the monitor -- the child was staring off into space while he was sitting on someone’s lap -- and he said, in his inimit...

  22. I don't understand why I'm paying for BBC America to cut into episodes of their programming for ads, literally removing scenes. [[email protected]#$%^&*] watching The Hour Series 2 on broadcast, I'll just download it again.

I try to tape the first run of Who, which supposedly doesn't edit. I get irrationally angry when I watch something with heavy cuts. When someone cuts this or when they used to cut St. Elsewhere (whoever ran it) I would want to break the TV.

    2. Vee

      Vee

I've never watched it on TV. I always DL it and then play it on a PS3. They were notorious for cutting into it, but I didn't know they cut into everything else.

Agreed 100% most of BBCA content I download and watch on my computer because they're so edit heavy and I don't have time for that as a viewer.
