I think it's true, yes. And I sympathize with that, but this history of behavior goes back a long way.

That being said, no, this poster is not part of the J***YSBRO Industrial Complex. I can sympathize with being ill and lonely, but they're behaving like they still rule the roost on Usenet 20 years ago and with no regard for modern formatting or rules.

  4. This month's PP Announcement: OLTL to come back with monthly 3-minute mini-webisodes. "They're going to be short," executive said, "but punchy."

I appreciate you responding to a status update from 6 years ago, but no, it sucked.

  5. RIP Robert Forster. Thank you for being one of the backbones of the Twin Peaks revival.

Dammit! And so good in so many great films.

Please stop talking about Matt Bomer and GL while we're honoring Diahann Carroll. Jesus [!@#$%^&*] Christ.

  9. I haven't read this Eddie Murphy interview but this sounds like an apt description for change/evolution.

I mean, he apologized for them in the '90s.

  10. Ryan Murphy clearly thinks he's clever playing Herb Alpert's "Rise" in a foreboding scene on AHS but the entire show is just a camp nostalgia wikipedia fest. I don't know how people get through year after year of this.

Oh, I despise him. I'm only briefly watching this current one bc of the 80s slasher angle. The minute I hit my nip/tuck disgust level I'm out.

  11. If I wanted to read posts at Datalounge, I'd go there, but I don't. Just sayin'. Also, saying an actress was fired for them to "hire black characters" is in very poor taste

We're asking you not to re-type and post all that. For one thing, message board posts from strangers aren't appropriate to just re-post willy-nilly here, especially if they can't simply be linked. And yeah, Wikipedia pages, etc. aren't appropriate either. This isn't a blog, and we try to avoid spam in lieu of interactive discussion.

  12. RIP Aron Eisenberg - Ensign Nog of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, one of the best shows of the 1990s and a precursor to many, many serialized sci-fi shows today.

DS9 took what had been a catastrophic failure of a villain race on TNG since early on, the Ferengi, who had been considered a lost cause at that point, and made Nog, Quark and Rom some of the most complex characters on the new show. Strip away some of the chintzy syndication production values and many of their great monologues would be at home on HBO, on Deadwood or The Wire.

If nothing else comes of this sad event I hope it spurs more people to watch DS9. It starts slow and episodic but by the end of Season 2 is starting to hum, and by Season 4 is cooking with gas. It's there for me every time. I'll watch some again today.

I spent many a year at DL and to this day no one has caught the reason for this screen name, but no, we're not supposed to be spamming threads with posts from that board or any other. I haven't been back to DL in ages but I'm fairly certain those guys wouldn't appreciate it.

I think she's as much of a nightmare as many journalists say, but good lord is she entertaining.

  15. Really sad what Aaron Carter is going thru.  I hope he can get the help he needs.  Nick had no choice but to file a restraining order if his wife and unborn child are being threatened.

This is Amanda Bynes all over again.  Mental Illness is a reality!

That entire family is fuckèd up, starting with Nick. Clearly Aaron is unwell but it began with his big brother and I doubt Aaron is entirely lying. I remember the rape allegations about Nick and female fans a few years ago. Meanwhile Nick was almost certainly abused by Lou Pearlman. It's a cycle.

I agree the plot/sexual politics are horribly dated, but I feel guilty for still liking LeVar and Susan Gibney (who went on to be the evil hospital administrator on OLTL in '94 and lost the Janeway role on VOY to Mulgrew) together.

  22. Moon Knight and his five personalities are coming for his money.

I think Sony is operating at an extreme disadvantage and being stupid, as usual. Spidey can be sectioned off if need be from the larger MCU, and Spidey's supporting cast can be kept to his films. But I don't think it will come to that.
