I remember reading months ago that Head's longtime girlfriend had died. Re-checking and she - Sarah Fisher - died in December. They were together for 40 years. I was curious to find out what James Handy's 2-day role was on Ryan's Hope in 1977. (He's one of those familiar faces to me whose name I didn't know but saw him in different things.) The character was "Red." He was the guy in the pub in Ireland that Jack and Mary visited on their 2nd honeymoon, the one who overheard them recognize the picture on the wall of Tom Desmond.

Not sure if it counts but Carolee Campbell (The Doctors) left acting and became a book designer/printer, creating Ninja Press. She's more on the artistic side of things.

If anyone is interested in seeing Whoopi Goldberg on the Italian soap "Il Posto Al Sole", it looks like this person compiled her scenes and uploaded them in order on youtube (episode 1, 2, etc.). It's a 30-minute soap so the compilations are mostly 5-15 minutes long. I think her story is just about up. Maybe her last one on 2/23. Last month, I posted in the ATWT forum about a fan e-mail project for Michael Forest (Nick Andropoulos) that actor Vic Mignogna (who worked with him on Star Trek Continues) was organizing. Vic posted a video on youtube of presenting the book of messages to Michael. I thought I'd post the link here since people may remember Michael from other works as well. Whoopi Goldberg's stint on the Italian soap "Un Posto Al Sol" has started. We have the RAI channel through Spectrum and my mom watches it. I've never seen B&B (and I'm not watching Beautiful) so I have no idea how far behind the US they are but it's been amusing to spot some familiar faces being dubbed in Italian.

As a kid growing up in NYC, I had never heard of him. I only came across him about 15-20 years ago when he had a radio program playing the old Italian and Italian-American singers...Dean Martin, Sinatra, Modugno, Louis Prima, etc. Did get to meet him once at one of the big feasts/street fairs in Brooklyn.
