And Steffy sitting there acting like she is a 70 year old (no hate for the older ladies, just not suitable for a girl that age) moralistic matriarch. Honey, you are the same... if not worse than Hope. Only Brooke can top that, sweetheart.

Bradley wants Steffy/JMW to be Stephanie/SF so badly….yet it’s just not funny or cute.

  2. Not to give JER credit, but I long for the days of Passions, where at least the characters there had friends to confide their relationship woes too....The fact the Mom's, Dad's, and Brother's/Sisters etc...were kept out of the loop a good chunk of the time, made things slightly more realistic.

What direction would you like to see both Hope and Steffy go in?

I personally, would have not have them ever been rivals. Or at least have them really develop a friendship of sorts where they both decided to hold Liam accountable for all the hell he put them through.

And yikes, today’s 3/20 episode was just another one of those bonkers dream/fantasy episodes that JG loves to throw at us every other month. I mean it okay there have been worse dream episodes before, and I liked the Cassie inclusion but also had some saccharine weirdness to it plus this to be the big March Madness “cliffhanger”, ummmm 😴😴😴

    It really is.

And funny, that last part you wrote is exactly why I nicknamed Bradley Bell “Thudley” years ago. Perhaps I need to start calling JG “Thudley II” @YRfan23? 😂

Lol it fits him nicely!!! 😂😂🤣😂

I have to say I’m in no way a fan of Adams but it’s starting to get annoying how every opportunity to make him not fit in with the Newman’s, is now being incorporated in these  stupid dream episodes.

1994-96 was just bad because Thudley was inexperienced, and we got weird stories like the statutory rape stories with Dylan & Jessica, that Jasmine girl falling down the Spectra elevator shaft, Michael Lai, Brooke going inexplicably insane, and a cake fight between Rick Jr and CJ etc.

There was an amazing summer 1997-early 1999 renaissance of B&B, but it fell apart again. 2000-2005 is pretty much B&B’s silver age and Thudley kept that period fairly consistent minus some mistakes and yet ever since then, with Taylor coming back the show has been in some sort of freefall.

That's pretty much the gist of it.  Although I think the first half of 1995 was better written then the second half. It went down hill I think after Sheila's goodbye party...That's when you start to really see Thudley's inexperience, although anything of course back then was way better then today.

I definitely agree about 1999-2002 pretty much, although Brooke became the "slut from the Valley" those years because of her relationships with Thorne and Deacon (and anyone else I forgot..LOL) and sadly Bradley always falls back on that with Brooke, while making every other character look like a huge hypocrite. That started even earlier then that when Taylor slept with James in 1994, and Stephanie decided to keep it a secret from Ridge, without fully condemning or accepting Brooke wasn't always the problem when  it came to Ridge.  That's years of storyline potential and devastation that could have really shook the idea from Steffy and Thomas that their sainted mother isn't the saint she always appeared to be.

Haha I’ve done it with B&B before along with Days…I have that emotional connection to Y&R I did to GL and ATWT but B&B and Days have been more dispensable to my surprise.

I think a part of me worries that as soon as I stop watching, the show will "improve"...... that's what happen when I stopped watching for several months in 2013....and all I heard from Daytime Confidential was how "good" B&B had gotten....This was around the time Brooke and Bill's affair was revealed by Taylor.....

Depending on how I feel after Wednesday, maybe it's time to cut B&B loose for good....I'll tune in maybe to see the latest "Sheila's alive!!" twist Bradley will do by May Sweeps, but I think that won't even be enough to make me stay...

@YRfan23 It's funny so many of us who've stopped watching post because we want the show to be better. What broke my regular viewing: I started watching the Belief/Sheila intro episodes on the B&B YT channel. I kept watching and watching until James/Sheila. Even the worst stuff (Dylan/Jessica, etc.) was far better than anything on today.

Even post glory years (anything on the show after 2002) Was probably a heck of a lot better then what we have now. Namely 2003-2008ish. I feel drawn to several clips from that era, and I can't help but think "this isn't so bad...." haha

I’ve pretty much have stopped watching B&B as well and have stopped bothering reading about recaps and spoilers. Let me know when there’s an improvement because for right now I’m taking a break from this mess.

I want to soooo bad, yet can never look away! :D

I think Thomas is portrayed as narcissistic whenever they write him in villain mode. Now? Not so much. As for Steffy I think when she was younger. Now not really. But she has her moments.

Yeah even though I wouldn’t say she is now. Back then she definitely was

And we all know Thudley has no regards to the history of his stories, so sadly in his mind we are suppose to pretend those "Bad Steffy" years never happened. In his current agenda,  Steffy = "Heroic Badass" Hope = "Dumb Slut"

I agree about Ridge, Bill and Liam, but how does Thomas and Steffy fit that definition? Let's be real and not just throw in characters cause we don't like them lol

Haha I'm sorry, I guess with Steffy it all stems back to how Hypocritical she can be when it comes to Hope and the rest of the Logans. There was a time several years back she seemed to enjoy making fun of Hope for waiting on sex, while insulting her entire family at the same time. Yet she had no problem acting that same way she accuses Brooke of being.

A good Rey Rosales style car crash would suffice, and for some unknown reason Chelsea was in the passenger seat and she’s dead as well.

The Newmans are devastated. Victor thinks Chelsea was to blame for the wreck, Adam and Sally yell at each other, Nikki almost drinks, and Victoria has grief sex with Cole.

An offscreen funeral is held; afterwards Sharon and the Newmans discuss how wonderful the service was yet how odd that Nick requested to be buried next to Sage. Apparently he never changed his will. This causes Phyllis to feel betrayed.

Chloe tearfully tells Billy Nick and Chelsea were having a secret affair.

Three weeks later Abby learns from Devon about Nick’s death and feels bad she hadn’t reached out as she didn’t know he had passed.

LOLOLOL that's the entire outline!! :D

Good question…last I knew she appeared was in early Feb when she met with Devon and Nate about Cassidy First and maybe put in an appearance to chime in about OCD..??(I fast forwarded through just about all of that story.

I don’t know, it’s obvious JG is clueless about what to do about Sharon. For awhile there in both 2022 and last year it seemed like a Shick reunion was planned but I’m guessing either Morrow and/or Case (or both) asked to nix it, maybe.

2024 is the 30th anniversary of Nick and Sharon so I’ll assume at some point the show will have special episodes surrounding them. I’ll just say JM’s Nick gets way too much airtime even in the supporting role he has lately, and now Nick is sniffing around Phyllis again? Yuck! 🤢

I'd be all for just killing Nick off for his 30th anniversary! 🤣

I present you The Bold and the Beautiful Episode Tracker

This is the spreadsheet that I update daily, or when new videos appear on the YouTube channel. You can see a breakdown of the episodes by season or by year by clicking the 'Overview' tab. Seasons can be filtered via a drop-down menu. It's been two years in the making and I've decided it's time to release it publicly since I'm now confident it is accurate and reliable enough to be used on a daily basis. And while it isn't intended to replace other resources, I think it will compliment existing ones. And it has the added benefit of being portable and viewable for offline use.

Also, shout out to @Toups for his writers and directors lists. I was able to gather his data and merge it with the spreadsheet.

Thank you!! :D This is so amazing!! :D incredible work, and definitely makes accessing the episodes easier!

So true. For years and years the narrative was Hope was saintly like Taylor while Steffy was trashy/slutty like Brooke. I remember Thudley even bragging about the irony of it all.

That all changed first with the Wyatt/Hope/Liam triangle back in 2014 and then Steffy  being single for most of 2018-2020 before settling down with Finn, but only after she whored out 2015-17 between all three Spencer men.

Yet circa 2010-2013ish when Steffy was at her most "Brooke-like" she was disgustingly cheered on by Stephanie and Taylor, just because it meant bringing down Brooke and Hope and all the Logans.....I'll never forget that horrible dialogue towards the end of SF's run where she encouraged Liam to stay with Steffy because she was "HOT" and stay away from Hope because "She's a LOGAN"! yet she praised Hope for the many things she would normally praised Taylor for....I just will never understand any of it, and I think that's why I'll always have a problem with how Steffy is portrayed....

And hell the real elephant in the room is how crazy the freaking Forrester er rather the Douglas/Marone family is, yet they judged every other "Bad" person in town....

  17. 2 minutes ago, Althea Davis said:

I agree with you about the eventual hypocrisy. That  scene worked only because of the history between the characters. If he re-creates something like this with Hope and Steffy, it will look like a cartoon.  Steffy did all the seducing and tricks for yeeears... so they don't really have any difference at this point.

It definitely did work better with Stephanie, although the only cringeworthy thing is her praising the Forrester Family for being such "good, kind, decent" people with " Values and Morals"... 🙄

Bradley will never acknowledge Steffy's past behavior, as his current agenda seems to be making Hope like Brooke as much as possible....
