  1. I LOVED this episode. Bill's expression (embarrassed father of a teen) was hilarious when Jessica made that kidnapper yell out in the hotel. Hoyt and Jessica are cute. Jason had the best line of the night "Evil is making the premedicated choice to be a dick." I felt bad for Lettie May. She should have bailed Terra out, but I think she really thought she was doing the best thing and is trying to make up now. Eric When he and Bill were in the hotel lobby and Eric said "I care for others", be still my heart. I wonder if he saved Lafayette for Sookie or himself. I liked Terra and Lafayette's scene as well. I wonder what's up with Daphne. Is she a conscious minion of Maryanne's or is she an unwitting accomplice/victim?

  3. I hear you. I promise not to spill a word, although the series is very different. I couldn't spill on this season anyway since I can't find my copy of Dead in Dallas and refuse to buy another (it's here somewhere!). I actually wish I had read the books first, but oh well. I can be just as happy with a Lafeyyete/Eric hook up (Spec not spoiler), if the dynamic is the same.
  4. I read the 4th Sookie Stackhouse book this weekend (Dead To the World) and it's really making me want Sookie/Eric. Somehow I don't think that's the direction AB is headed in though. Thankfully, we have a new episode this week.
  5. I have a feeling we'll get there. I think Bill is afraid that she is too young to know when to stop and that Hoyt will be drained before Jessica realizes what she's done.
  6. I'm annoyed we aren't getting a new episode this week. I want to know what happens to Lafeyette next! Jessica is growing on me.
  7. I love your posts as well mark. This idea of rating other people's opinions is silly.

  8. One of my favorite moments of Sunday's episodes was when Jason was playing football. I sat there thinking why the hell does Jason have his shirt on (flashback to Billy and Cane on the Y&R basketball court). And at the very moment that thought went through my mind he pulls off his short in semi slow motion. At least True Blood knows how to make it's audience happy. In season 1 Jason was so dumb it interfered with my ability to find him attractive, but this season I've learned to get over it. It's kind of hard to see the goodness in him that makes Tara love him though. I loved Lafeyette's little speech about how he is a survivor first too. That spoke volumes about the character. I've seen people say that he is just the stereotypical funny gay character, but I don't think so at all. Layfeyette may not be a bad guy exactly, but he isn't the safe, sweet guy either.
  9. Tara does notice Lafayette is missing. Last season she and Sam talked about it. Sam said Lafeyette was gone for two weeks and he might have to give away his job. And Tara said something like, Lafeyette has left town for months at a time in the past, so she wasn't worried that he was missing.

  11. I'm sure this will be a good movie, but it sounds pretty sad. I don't think I'll watch.
  12. I know!! I have such a hard time staying away from spoilers. Part of me wants to with all the shows I watch. Then curiosity and the need to not be blindsided wins out. Lafeyette and Tara were a lot of fun last season. I like the whole group interacting at the bar, but I don't know if we'll be seeing a lot of that this season.
  13. New interview with NE. There is a bit of new info in the last paragraph. http://www.tvguide.com/News/True-Blood-Nelsan-1007122.aspx
  14. Hi Greg. I miss seeing you in the Y&R thread.

I hope you stop by soon.

  15. Ausiello: HBO just released the official titles and loglines for TB's July episodes and they contain some bloody good spoilers... http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/06/ask-au...l-and-more.html
  16. I think it's possible. Did you get a chance to read the interview I linked above? NE seems pretty confident about his place on the show now. I could definitely accept Lafeyette as a vamp, but I hope it doesn't happen until the end of the season. I want to see a little bit more of his human struggles for now.
  17. Those ratings are great news. Sounds like a lot of people found the show since the end of season 1 and the premier of season 2. Nelsan Ellis also reference season 3 in his interview and it sounds like it's already a done deal. I have to say one more time, THANK GOD Lafayette did not die. I watched a second time and I can't wait until Sunday.
  18. Me to. I was holding my breath on that one all this time. The show did a great job of making me think he really was gone. I think Mary Ann is a follower of the god Pan. She seems to get off on people who are drinking or on drugs in some way. I don't quite get it though. Here is an interview with the actor that plays Lafayette. It was actually on EW.: http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/06/true-b...tte-speaks.html
  19. I love this show. I hope lots of people are watching so we can have good discussions. It's going to be a good season. All you Ashley Jones fans better be watching, since she is playing Daphne this season.
  20. Ashley Jones (Bridget, B& is joining the cast next season. http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2008/12/ashley-jones-an.html
  21. I love Nathan Fillion, but I feel this type of show has been done to death. Sometimes I think original programming can only make it on cable.
  22. I thought the season finale was really good. The end with Sookie and Tara screaming was perfect. I just hope that body wasn't Lafeyette, although I think it was. I was hoping Bill was the one who feed on him and didn't kill him, but now I bet it was someone or something else. Maybe the Meanad. So glad we don't have to wait a whole year to find out.
  23. See, that's the problem. It's basically fluff. I think they could have taken the book's concept and made it something deeper. The stakes just aren't high enough for me. It's a decent enough concept for a series of fluffy murder mystery books, but it's just not quite good enough for HBO. I'll continue to watch, but I just think this show should be bigger somehow. I thought we might be getting somewhere when it looked like vamps had killed that TV preacher or whatever he was in that first episode. I was hoping for some sort of deeper vampire conspiracy that Bill and Sookie would try to stop over several seasons.
  24. Last night was pretty good, although all that blood Sookie was cleaning up was horrible. Uncle Bartlett looks like trouble. I like Sam and Tara together. I wonder if there is a literal demon in Tara's mother. Tara never should have gone back home to her. I don't think it's going to end well.
