Not even the winner of anything deserves it these days. That's all I'm saying.
For the last couple of years this has been the truest.

KKL absolutely deserves a win at some point in her career. Brooke is only a viable character because of KKL.
Good grief, even SF commented on the lack of Emmy love for KKL. I'm sure some of SF's Emmy wins included many scenes with KKL.
I wonder what scenes KKL submitted for this year. Maybe something with AN?
AMEN. The KKL bashing in this forum has to stop. I am sick of it.

Why didn't Liberty Biberty get a nomination... He has been giving his all for years now.

Well, I'm sorry but to me she didn't have it this year & both Ari/DAYS & MTS/Y&R did & so she is in one of their spots! And that's not bashing. Just going by story, if they had one or if they did not.
That's not true. She deserves that spot.

Did KKL submit the episode where she's holding and reading the bible?
And KKL son had better Emmy performance than her.
KKL deserves to get an Emmy. And she has given some great performances the past year. Of course it's not the whole year, since it's not how nominations and awards work.

Hope she finally wins! Love me some KKL. She's been overlooked for far too many decades, literally.
Yes to this!

Wins for what? she literally did nothing Emmy worthy last year. Like MS she did nothing. Heck Annika acts circles around her
Can you please stop bashing KKL every chance you get? I still have reflux from you calling her Bradley's pet. Nobody cares at this point. Jesus.
I am here to say KUDOS to KKL one more time. She definitively deserves it.

These Emmys have been a joke for years now. I hope KKL wins... it's laughable she hasn't gotten one after so many years playing Brooke - I would say 1993 was her strongest year in the character. But even if she gets it in 2024... I will feel it like she got it in the past.

Oh, to have Maureen for the Peter saga....
Have you found a good playlist of '82 episodes in English? I've been stitching the year together from clips and random episodes mostly. The German episodes are good to fill in, but the translations are awkward at best. I found an episode in German of Carrie going off on Vanessa, and whatever Carrie says scares the bejesus out of her.
Nope I'm only watching in German.
If you can find anything 1982 to 1991 in English... please share.

I really don't want to go down this road again because we've covered it before. However, so many on this board insist on calling this a rape that I have to again voice opposition to that.
Yes, the story is horribly written. It is awful in every respect, and I can understand why people talk about consent, etc. However, I do not think it's fair to call this a rape without examining every step and every fact. I don't think any justice system would convict Zende of rape.
Luna put herself in Zende's bed. She was impaired BUT HE DID NOT KNOW THAT. We have to assume that he was also drinking. She willingly agreed to have sex. Did she know it was Zende? No, but that is irrelevant. ZENDE thought she was saying yes to him. She NEVER said no or tried to stop him.
When "Zende raped Luna" is mentioned on this board, someone who hadn't watched those scenes would think there was sexual assault. That is not what I saw and that is not what happened.
I have nothing good to say about the writing on BOLD. Nothing. Bradley Bell is scum for writing those scenes and that scenario. Was anything about that story realistic? No. But it also wasn't rape.
I am beyond sympathetic to any victim of sexual assault/sexual violence, but to me it's beyond overboard to call this a rape. I don't think that word should be thrown around like that.
I don't expect to get any support here for my take, because this board seems to have passed judgment and then some. I'm sorry for opening this up again, but with the total mess this story is, I do not understand wanting to convict someone of rape and calling him a rapist.
Without wanting to argue, you all know my POV, when someone ends up in your bed the way Luna did... It's not a normal reaction to just... Sorry for the more direct language - sexually penetrate them.
The normal reaction of a non rapist is to say Hey, what is going on. Why are you here in this bed and are you sure you want to be here? That's like a bare minimum. And the conversation Has to be even longer and more direct.
Maybe... Like... Make sure the person that you are about to sleep in the same bed with is coherent and knows where they are. At least.
Zende not knowing or caring to know what state Luna was in is not an excuse but even more big reason to call him a rapist.
This is an incredibly stupid and irresponsible thing to do to a woman or a girl.
Just because someone is lying in your bed smiling, doesn't give you the heads up to put your pee pee in.
Consent is something a real man, non rapist, non monster will Always validate with the partner and with himself.
Him drinking again is not an excuse - he is a man... He should know himself better to not initiate sex if he knows his drinking can impair judgement.
I am sorry. That's my two cents and I don't think it's too much to call this a rape.
It's 2024 and people have been jailed and are serving time for situations like this.
I don't want to argue. But as a rape victim I won't Not say my opinion.

Too much stress and work has led me to have a light spring time fatigue or something. I just feel burned out and sleepy (without actually falling asleep)all the time. And now I'm just tucking myself into bed and will call it a day.

Am I alone in the feeling that this 2024 the show feels lost... Like I don't really feel a sense of going somewhere. It's like I'm watching something that will not be even remembered five years from now. Like a complete dead period.
Is this all Bradley has to offer - stories about mints and toes?

I mean she was raped though.. nothing to smile about
I think he meant about the Sheila toes storyline. The rape storyline is of course NOTHING to smile or joke about. It's a reason to boycott the show.

Well then you can't know, can you? If you haven't watched Bold in 2023 and seen all of KKL's performances, which I assume you haven't... Since you wouldn't be basing your opinion on "hearing about it" - you can't make the assumption that she "didn't have it this year" just because you didn't "hear about Emmy worthy story".
When her Emmy reel gets public, which they all do, you'll SEE and not only hear... why she was nominated.
And stating that she is in one of... some other actress's spots is just... Strange.
KKL has given plenty of great scenes and moments in 2023. That woman has worked her ass off.
