What I don't understand is why are folks still replying and quoting troll.  That goes a long way to keeping him/them engaged.  That troll has tried to bait me by quoting me and I've ignored them.  I feel like if others were truly bothered, they'd do the same but when I often look in threads, that's not what I see.

I'm not sure if unsightly avatars and disagreeable posts on a public forum actually merits banishment though.  I don't engage with them. Yeah, it is kind of sad but it's a public forum, there's always going to be some drawbacks.

Similar style of avatars. Probably using different devices to post but I guess, that is not always easy to prove and perhaps there may be some debate over what constitutes an actual troll. (shrugs).

  4. The Atlantic provides a deep-dive analysis of what likely happened to Malaysian flight MH370 and even though the conclusion made about the pilot was what I suspected from the beginning, it is nonetheless a chilling account.

Yeah, I definitely sense some professional rivalry and defensiveness in that rebuttal post.  Even after reading the first piece, it did occur to me that it seems unlikely that we'll ever truly definitively know what went on in the mind of that pilot, we can only really surmise what could he have been thinking of.

It does seem very...brief, to say the least.  The one aspect that both men appear to agree on is that Malaysian authorities appear to have been less than forthcoming in the aftermath.

I reiterate my remarks about the piece in The Atlantic but also feel compelled to post this rebuttal piece that I just discovered and which, I admit, I've just begun to read.

The past month and a half has been really sad for me.  The onslaught just keeps coming.  R.I.P. Mr. Conway, who made so many laugh, something we now seem to need more than ever.

My condolences go out to her daughters Kidada and Rashida.  This has to be a very difficult Mother's Day for them.

The actors are talented but the show is not great. I'm sure Wu feels badly for threatening to mess up her fellow actors' bags.

I've already mentioned how highly conflict many Asian Americans feel about FOTB.  I've had conversations with friends about this from Day 1.  Most don't watch but they also knew that the show's failure might threaten prospects for a better show featuring a Asian American majority cast to get greenlit.  When you're a POC, it's not that difficult to understand where the conflict comes in.  I've said that from the very beginning.

I didn't say she did.  I just stated that she left, which I had no idea occurred since I stopped watching the show after Season 1.

I was curious to see whether Eddie Huang had anything to say about this (which he didn't, at least not publicly) and happened to run across this article that was written at least six months ago.

Oh and apparently the showrunner left the show.

I've only seen one season of the show and even I could tell that the show doesn't survive without Wu.  Perhaps she was conflicted about being the cause of her fellow castmates losing their jobs.  She was probably hoping for cancellation so she wouldn't have to deal with it.

I'm shocked that the show has survived this long!

Wu could've handled this better but the show is problematic, to be honest.

Wow @Vee you're making me want to see this film all over again- it's been many years. Gentrification is happening in earnest in Oakland these days.

Wow, there were reports that he went into cardiac arrest after his heart attack!  Larry King has had heart attacks in the past.  Is that why he's being released?  Is this story true?

      I hope so too.

When John Singleton checked himself into the hospital, the first news reports were that it was a mild stroke.  Then it became massive during his hospital stay.

I hope for a much better outcome for Peabo Bryson.
