  1. Marley:  Oh I…I’m tired.

Brianna:  You can do it.  Push..1, 2, 3….

Marley gives one big push and hears crying.

Marley’s pain turns to her and Tyrone’s joy as Roman Michael Montgomery is born.  John gives Marley her and Tyrone’s baby as they look on with joy.  The rest of the Love/Hudsons look in on them with happiness.

Allen:  Look at my brother...cheesin ear to ear.

Vicky:  Welcome to the family Roman.

Donna:  This is truly a miracle.

    Michael:  Our new grandson.

FREEZE FRAME ON TYRONE, MARLEY and ROMAN...SLOW FADE OUT...END OF EPISODE 227

  2. Good episode...nice beats played.

Liam doesn't want Jennifer to go to his place.  I wondered when she would start to become a bit suspicious of him.  She seems a little too gaga for him.

Maybe this will be the start.Nicole's dream was a hoot and seemed a bit of foreshadowing.  A good reminder for me of the secret she's keeping.

Abigail is back, and she is a mother....OOOOH....and she ain't tellin nobody.

The scene with Roman, Marlena and Kim was almost heartbreaking.  Roman not remembering his own sister, and Kim pleading almost trying to will him to remember, then his bewilderment about not remembering.  Very emotional for me.

And Adrienne is about to spill what she saw without any evidence to Sonny.  So Adrienne.  Of course nobody believes her, causing a rift.  You chose drama there, successfully.

  3. This is getting better...building and building.

Gloria coming to Lauren's to plead with her to ease up on Michael.  Good natural conversation, but Lauren calling her a cougar...hmm Lauren you got a lot of nerve.  Have you forgotten all the men you've been with?  LOL

Very very good visual of Victor seeing Newman taken down, literally.  You are doing such a great job with this.  Building this up and building this up.  I am into this storyline.  I am waiting to see what Victor is going to do to Jack.  First recruit Keemo.  Jack has no idea what's about to hit him,

And my lady Karynn.  You gave us a glimpse into her past and how men have treated her, and why she is the way she is.  You've warmed Nina up to her and Chance.  I love how you are building these stories carefully.   Character driven building, which will pay off for you later in a huge way.

  4. This was a very good show...had everything in it.

Phyllis/Michael - I like how you rekindled their friendship and brought us up to speed on their stories.  Not only that, you also brought up past history (Phyllis running down Christine)

Karynn/Esther/Garrett Morris - Humor rues the day with them, and it was funny.  I realize how well you write it, and you are doing a great job incorporating it into your soap.  Nice lighthearted distraction to Karynn's real reason for going to Chicago.  Just like a soap would be written.

Gloria - I like how you made her the mystery woman who was listening to Phyllis and Michael's conversation.  A nice little "near miss", and once again, you reminded us that she's with Keemo.  A good foreshadowing.

Nina/Chance - Great job of writing the mother and son catching up.  I forgot that Chance is dealing with guilt over Eden's disappearance.  Thank you for that reminder as well.  AND that Karynn went to Chicago to see Karl.

The Abbotts - We all know Jack has won the battle, but not the war.  It is very Bill Bell, Sr like for them to warn Jack that Victor is going to strike back.  I remember watching that one time in 1997 where Victoria was telling someone that she wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of Victor's wrath, then the next scene Victor was laying into Nick (I think).

    Keep up the great work.

  5. A VERY PACKED EPISODE

WOW what a set up!!  Especially to Victor's heart attack.  You started setting it up in 89, but I had no idea until the end of Part 1 that he was having a heart attack.  What a climax to this Kiriakis family dinner.

You successfully balanced the episode by the lighthearted moment between Eric and Nicole, but moved it by having them elope.  THAT should shock everyone when they return to Salem.

Brady's life flashing before his eyes was great.  All at once.  Loved it, and he and Anita getting closer as she nurses him back to health.  I still wonder what her motive is in nursing Brady

Lucas's internal conflict continues.  However I do wonder where you're going with the conflict portion of this story.

You write Jerome very well.  He is borderline narcissist but very charismatic, as he just drew Jordan in with his words and his look.  Her anger just made it obvious that she was still very attracted to him.  But the truth also stung her.  Loved that exchange.

  6. I like how you are recapping the stories for us...you've slowed things down, but stories are still moving.

Nina will be heading to Chicago to bail out Esther and Karynn.

And Michael confiding in his bestie Phyllis about everything he's done.  It brought things back together for me.

And you also reminded us that Jack and Keemo are estranged.  I hope you will explore that further soon

I also enjoy that the people who screwed Victor are shaken that he's been released.

    GOOD EPISODE

  7. A lot of internal struggles here...

Hope/Rafe - She moved from her own internal conflict to now questioning the Salem PD and how cops think in general.  It's good that she is shaking Rafe's comfort zone about being a cop.  And how cops think.  Good!!!

Jerome/Jordan - Jordan can't resist Jerome's handsome, charismatic charm.  And he just calls her out on all her little bullshit lol.  She's in love with the summabitch cop Rafe.

Lucas/Sheryl - The internal conflict in Lucas regarding Kate's instructions to be convincing was excellent.  Combine that with Sheryl's aggressive advances makes for a great exchange, and I get the feeling that this is going to be bigger than this ;)

Sonny/Will/Adrienne/Justin - Everybody is ganging up on Adrienne about her suspicions.  And then accusing her of resenting Alex because of his mother.  Just piling on.  Will had perfect timing by playing the "I don't wanna cause any trouble" card.  He's looking more and more like Sami.  A passive version of her.

  8. LOVED THIS!!!  The whole episode.  Balanced...Serious, romantic, and political.

Justin/Adrienne - This exchange was very emotional and to the point.  I love what Adrienne said.  She just came out and told Justin what she saw.  Of course he didn't believe her and she had no proof.  Justin didn't want to believe her.  So realistic.  Loved this entire exchange.

Eric/Nicole - Romance between these two.  Very good.  However, the champagne glasses breaking seems to me that you are foreshadowing something for these two.  Can't wait to see what it is.

Will/Sonny - Will's crocodile tears are definitely Sami-esque.  Deep down he wants to keep his attraction to Alex a secret from Sonny, and is using these "tears" to get Adrienne off his back.  So Sami lol

Noelle/Victor - Noelle stood up to Victor's snarky remarks.  I'm not clear on the Curtis family history with Victor, but Noelle seems like she's going to enjoy getting under Victor's skin.

Rafe/Hope- Political statement here.  Hope's last line said a mouthful.  Her doubts reveal a good self conflict about her cop skills and all cops.  "Because he was black." was a powerful statement, and I so look forward to what this is going to lead to.  A very modern, contemporary story that so needs to be told.

    GOOD EPISODE!!

  9. Yes I loved this...Nikki and Victor's exchange was excellent.  Full of emotion...you hit it once again by digging into Nikki's guilt.  And Driver coming in the nick of time...hmmm... I felt Nikki's emotions...GREAT JOB!!

And you balanced it out with Garrett Morris, Karynn and Esther.  Their exchange was funny....

Noah didn't know it was a gay bar?  yeah right!! LOL...Rafe is spying on Scotty as he mixes it up with Philip and Rufus.  Rufus is dangerous...

  10. WHAT AN EPISODE....so much in it.  Once again very balanced..drama and humor

Philip/Rufus - Philip continues this destructive path, and Rufus isn't helping.  The music and the visuals set the tone for the entire scene to me.  I think you wanted it to be dark, and it was.  Philip goes to do some coke and have sex.  I like that you are taking us into Philip's dark world.  It adds depth to the story.

Nikki/Chase - I could visualize this entire scene.  Nikki by the piano, and Driver comforting her.  Nikki remembering Katherine and particularly the way they left things.  This is gonna haunt Nikki for a long long time.  She needs major help.  Liquor aint' gonna do it, but we like drunk Nikki LOL

Victor/Lauren - You are taking us into Victor's mind, the description of the boarded up tackhouse and tying that to Victor's realization of what he lost was brilliant.  This, too adds depth to Victor's story.  You also reminded us, though, that Victor is still Victor and he plans to use Lauren's pending divorce to get revenge on Michael.

Michael/Phyllis - I liked that you used their conversation to recap the story and what Sheila did, also Michael's guilt in keeping Sheila's whereabouts quiet.  Now we know where Michael stands...as a target lol...

You are getting deeper and it draws me into these characters.  Good soaps are built on story and character, and that is what you have been doing a lot of lately.  Keep it up

  11. What a packed episode this was.  LOTS going on,

The Kiriakis family dinner - Very balanced.  It's got drama, humor and suspense.  Funny exchanges with Victor and Maggie...he will be sleeping in the poolhouse.  She is not afraid of him and stands up to Victor in ways not many people have.  I like it.  Noelle threw shade at Victor and that seems like it's just the beginning.  Will is probably feeling the gamut of emotions.  Adrienne may be on to something, but nobody is gonna pay her any attention, and I love when soaps do that.

Valerie/Jerome - I read her lines out loud with the emotions you wrote down, and I felt her pain.  Did something happen to Valerie?  In the soap world, we think so, but in the real world, we are tired of racial injustice.  More than likely, at one point or another, racial discrimination has happened to a person of color, and what happened to her grandson is very personal.  I wonder where this dimension of her is going to take her.  And Jerome, being the young ingenue he is, is on the go again.  Makes sense that Valerie worries about him.

Billie/Jennifer - Billie went looking for something and she found it.  I also think Daniel is still in love with Jennifer, and vice versa.  Billie knows it, and I can imagine her relief when finding out that Jennifer is dating Liam.  Liked the clue that you dropped about remembering Abigail's birthday.  And I ALSO enjoy that you are setting up a double date between them, AND that Billie is gonna start investigating Liam as well.  What will Daniel and Billie find?

JJ/Laura - It's cute that these two are bonding over their concern for Jennifer.  Maybe JJs natural cop instinct will kick in and ALSO investigate Liam.  lol

    GOOD EPISODE!!

  12. OH man such a balanced episode.

Karynn and Esther are such a great duo.  They are so funny together.  And the part about Esther telling Katherine to watch over them was fitting.  Karynn is such a mess.  LOVE HER!!

Nikki and Victor was the serious part.  Noah is acting like a spoiled brat.  Guess that apple didn't fall too far.  Nikki telling Victor that Newman was for the children and grandchildren.  I like that the conversation was focused on their family and not so much their (toxic) relationship.

Scotty and Philip and the "trannies".  The whole entire exchange was excellent, and now we start to follow these two on their journey.  You know I'm rooting for them, but Rafe isn't, and I REALLY like that he could be the fly in their ointment.  Like this triangle brewing here.

  13. Oh it's on now.

A lot happening in this episode.

I could picture Jennifer and Laura's reaction on TV.  So in character for the both of them, and the dialogue very real between them.  Yes it is strange for Jennifer to go out with a man when she doesn't even know where he lives.

The exchange was good between Sheryl and Lucas, although I do understand this is a cat and mouse game.  Kate reminded me of that at the end of that scene.  I think Sheryl kind of realizes that, too.

I wonder what Stefano has to say to Nick, and I'm glad you told us what Stefano wants...Victor's head on a platter.

And Yes, the dinner.  I laughed when Will said he needed a double.  Then he got tipsy and started saying how he REALLY feels, THEN the appearance of Noelle, with her eye on Victor.  She clearly wants to stick it to the patriarch of the Kiriakis family.

  14. CUT OFF ONCE AGAIN

Bridget:  I’m going to go find Cory.

Donna:  Jake, is it true?  You and Victoria are really getting a divorce?

Jake:  She signed the papers and gave them to me earlier.  All I gotta do is give them to Cass to file and it’ll be final.  Vicky and I will no longer be married.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    HOSPITAL

Cass is in Maggie’s room when Frankie and Charlie arrive.

    Frankie:  Cass what happened?

Cass:  Your vibes were right.  I found her unconscious in front of the Corys.

Charlie:  Wow what did the doctors say?

Cass:  She’s gonna be fine.  They took some blood and they’re running tests.

Frankie:  I had a bad feeling as soon as she left our house.

Cass:  We gotta find out what happened.

    Maggie begins to come to.

Cass:  Maggie.  Tell us what happened.  Who did this to you?

Meanwhile, Brianna watches them through the glass from the door.

  15. Devin Lucas:  Yeah.  Everyone’s here.

Mitch:  I guess we’re just waiting for Carl and Rachel.

Devin Lucas:  He’s probably upstairs.  I’m gonna go see about dad.

    ----------------------------------------------------

Cory and Elizabeth join Carl and Rachel in Carl and Rachel’s bedroom.  They see Carl and Rachel hugging.

    Cory:  Mom, dad.

    Elizabeth starts to cry.

Elizabeth:  Why do I feel like every moment we spend could be our last?

Carl:  My darling daughter.  I’ll always be here.

Elizabeth:  I love you so much daddy.

    Devin Lucas peeks in.

Devin Lucas:  Don’t leave me out of this.

Rachel:  We wouldn’t dream of that.

    Carl:  Where’s Frankie?

Devin Lucas:  I didn’t see her downstairs.

Carl:  Let’s go face the others...as a family.

  16. CONTINUED FROM ABOVE (CUT OFF)

Grant:  Don’t worry about Paulina.  All you need to do is leave Bay City and never come back.

Jack:  She’s gonna come running to your waiting arms now right?

Grant:  I don’t see you packing.

Jack:  Paulina loved me; she loved Jake; she loved Joe Carlino, but not you.

Grant:  She did once.  She can love me again.

Jack:  Paulina told me alllll about that.  She was obligated to you.  Especially after you were shot.  She was sneaking around with Jake most of the time that she was with you.  That’s not love Grant.

Grant:  The faster you go the better.  If I see your face in this town again, I will expose you for the baby seller that you are.

    Jack:  She’s gonna ask questions.

Grant:  And I’m going to tell her.  You need to leave and resign from the Bay City Police Department.

Jack:  She’s not gonna love you Grant.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

AT THE FRONT OF THE CORYS

Paulina and Jake walk slowly toward the front door.

Paulina:  You sure the papers will be fine in your car?

    Jake:

    Paulina:  I know this hurts.

    Jake:  Yeah.  Years of marriage...over.

Paulina:  You raised Steven and Kirkland, and had two daughters.  You should be grateful for that experience.   Dante was a teen ager when Joe died, and I never got to raise Remy.  You and Vicky had a wonderful life together.

    Jake:  And now it’s done.

    Paulina:  Come here.

    Paulina hugs Jake.

Paulina:  You will be fine.  Everything will work out for you.

Vicky opens the door, observes Jake and Paulina’s embrace, then goes back into the mansion.

Jack (V.O. to Grant):  She will never love you!  Nothing you do will ever make her.  If I’m out of the picture, someone else will come and steal her heart again, and you’ll be left out in the cold...wondering...wishing.

FREEZE FRAME ON VICKY, JAKE AND PAULINA...SLOW FADE OUT...END OF EPISODE 221

  17. YES YES YES!!  EVERYTHING HIT IN THIS EPISODE

Valerie going off in the police station was epic.  She unleashed her anger about racial profiling and injustice now happening to her grandson, and the reference about David to STING Hope...Yes yes yes....

Kate and Gabi's conversation.  Stroke of genius...Kate COMMENDING Gabi for the plan to get Nick addicted to pills.  LOVED THAT...Great idea to put those two in cahoots again.

Will meet my brother Alex (the one you've been wildly attracted to since he arrived in Salem).  A sibling rivalry has begun.  Oh this dinner is going to be epic.  You set it up beautifully in the beginning with the phone call, and even the conversation at the door before Henderson opened it.  WOW OH WOW..

You are firing on all cylinders with these last three I just read...keep em comin!!!!

  18. What a great follow up from 83.

I could FEEL the anger from Jerome and the tears from Valerie after his arrest.  Hope's conflict, and Rafe's indignation born out of feeling insulted.

Victor and Tyler's conversation i could see on TV.  Tyler stuttering out of intimidation and Victor just putting the hammer down.  LOVED IT

Billie realized that Daniel still loves Jennifer.  I could see it and feel it as she pulled over and cried.

Gabi making deals with the devil to get rid of Nick.  I like how Liam was menacing in a sense.

And to top it all off, Eric's proposal to Nicole.  Very thoughtful and romantic.

LOVED THIS ENTIRE EPISODE.  Once again you capture character so well that I can see all these people in my mind as I read the lines.  EXCELLENT JOB!!!
