    Hayley:
    James:

(Hayley is standing on the ledge. Tears are streaming down her face. Her entire body shakes as she looks down at the road 23 stories below her. She inhales sharply and reaches one hand behind her, grabbing the railing. With her other hand, she raises the bottle of vodka to her lips and takes a sip. Her hands shaking uncontrollably, a large splash of vodka splashes onto her chin and robe. Sobbing, she throws the bottle behind her and hears as it smashes on the balcony. She wipes the makeup soaked tears from her eyes one last time, and lets go of the railing. Just as she begins to lose her balance, a hand reaches out and grabs her arm, steadying her.)

James: You can't do this, Hayley.

(She turns to look at him through her blurry, tear soaked eyes.)

Hayley: Oh, don't pretend to care. You don't even know me.

James: Maybe not, butI know damn well that I'm not about to let you jump off of this ledge.

(He reaches out and wraps his arms around her waist, lifting her over the railing and back onto the balcony.)

Hayley: Leave it to me to have a one night stand with someone that actually gives a damn.

James: You honestly expected me to let you jump?

Hayley: I didn't expect you to be awake.

James: Well, thank God I was.

Hayley: Just because you pulled me off of one ledge doesn't mean I won't find another.

James: Look, I don't know what's going on in your life, but I know that this isn't the answer.

Hayley: You're damn right. You don't know anything about my life. You have no idea what I go through every single day. And you have no business interfering in my personal life.

James: You can say whatever you want, but I don't have to know you. I don't have to know you, to know this isn't the answer. My mother killed herself when I was 5 years old, and it has haunted me for my entire life. And I know who you are, Hayley. I know you have children at home. And I'm not letting you do to them what my mother did to me. I'm not letting you take the coward's way out.

(Hayley slaps him across the face.)

Hayley: Don't you ever call me a coward. How dare you.

(At this point, tears are once again streaming down her face. She stumbles away from him, and inadvertently walks barefoot directly through the shattered glass on the ground. She winces in pain as blood begins trailing from her foot.)

    (James moves towards her.)

    James: Let me help you.

(Hayley looks up at him, a mixture of pain and hatred in her eyes.)

Hayley: You stay away from me.

(She limps backwards throw the doorway and into the hotel room. She grabs her purse from the chair, as well as her clothes from the ground, and stumbles from the room wearing nothing but a silk robe and her underwear.)

    OPENING CREDITS:

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________

    Blair:
    Jack:

    Billy:

(Inside Skye's club. Blair is standing with Jack and Billy.)

    Blair: Excuse me?

Jack: This is Billy. He's my boyfriend.

Billy: It's nice to meet yo--

    (Blair cuts him off.)

Blair: Jack, I don't have time for your games. I have a lot going on right now.

Jack: Mom, this isn't a game.

Blair: You were livid at me for sending you to boarding school, and even more angry that you had to stay for the summer program. And what do you do? You skip school and pull a stunt like this.

Jack: This isn't a joke, Mom.

Blair: You expect me to believe that you're gay? You expect me to believe that you skipped school and hitch-hiked to New Hampshire to tell me that you're gay?

    Jack: Yes.

Blair: Well, I don't believe you.

(Her voice cracks. She turns and walks away from them, to the other side of the room. She picks up a stack of papers, and begins fumbling through them. Jack moves towards her.)

Jack: Mom, please. I need you to--

(Blair swivels around and cuts him off.)

Blair: Why now? If this is true - Why now? In the middle of your summer term, you show up and tell me you have a boyfriend? You could have waited a few weeks until I visited. But you expect me to believe your story, when you show up here and drop a bombshell like this? I know you, Jack. You're up to something.

(Jack is chocked up. He swallows the lump in his throat and chokes back tears.)

Jack: Mom, I couldn't take it anymore.

    Blair: Take what?

    Jack: The bullying.

(Blair is visibly taken aback by this. Blair and Jack lock eyes for a moment. Tears well up once more in Jack's eyes, and he turns away from his mother. He walks several feet to the other side of the room and sits at an empty table. Billy, still standing by the door, glances towards Jack, and then Blair. He moves across the room towards Blair.)

Billy: Jack and I met in chemistry class this past year. We became friends instantly, and eventually it progressed to more. I've been openly gay for about a year now, and once Jack and I became close, he felt comfortable enough with me to admit that he had been doubting his sexual orientation.

Blair: And you just swooped right in and took advantage of that?

(Jack stands, visibly angered by this remark.)

    Jack: NO!

Billy: I never came onto Jack. But once he accepted it, we began to explore our feelings for one another.

Blair: Jack, when did you start having these...feelings?

Jack: Last year...For Shane. I know I treated him horribly, and that's why. When my friends started bullying him, I hated it. Because from the minute that I met him, I felt...something. Of course I was in denial about it, and so I started bullying him harder than anyone else so that no one would know. But I hated it, because I had...feelings for him. Everything that I did was to cover that up.

(Blair sighs and rests her head in her hand for a long moment.)

Blair: Well, what is this that you said about bullying?

Jack: It was late at night, and Billy and I were down by the water. We shared a kiss, but we didn't know anyone was around. Apparently one of the guys from the football team saw, and he told everyone. The next day I came back to my room after class and someone had broken in. My room had been completely trashed, and they spray painted...

    (He stops.)

Blair: What, Jack? They spray painted what?

Jack: They spray painted the word fag on my wall.

(Blair is visibly horrified. A look of sheer heartbreak spreads across her face. In that moment, all denial that she had was wiped completely out of her.)

    Blair: You're serious.

    Billy: He is.

Blair: Why didn't you tell me this sooner?!

Jack: I didn't tell anyone, Mom. It would have only made things worse. But I couldn't handle it any more. The harassment was too much. Everywhere I went, they would call me names and mock me. I know I deserve it, after what I did to Shane...But I couldn't handle it, Mom.

(Blair stands. There are tears in her eyes now. She moves towards Jack, who also stands. She embraces him tightly for a long moment.)

Blair: I'm so, so sorry baby. Everything's going to be okay.

    ____________________________________________________________________________________________

    Tad:
    Lindsay:

(Inside Lindsay's apartment. She is standing near the door, with Tad. There is a suitcase next to her.)

Tad: I can't believe I just got back, and now you have to leave.

Lindsay: I know, but there's just something that I need to take care of. And now that you're officially living here, we'll see each other so much more. No more back and forth to Pine Valley.

    (Tad smiles.)

    Tad: Thank God.

    (The two kiss.)

Tad: Where are you going again?

Lindsay: To Seattle, to see my sister. She's had some crisis or another, and asked me to come see her. Always the drama queen, that Melanie.I'll be back in two days, okay? There's food in the refrigerator for you, and plenty of towels in the linen closet. Oh, and--

Tad: Lindsay, I'll be fine! Go! Before you miss your flight.

(The two kiss again. Lindsay grabs her suitcase from the ground. She opens the door, and steps into the hall, closing the door behind her. Tad moves across the room and has a seat on the couch. He reaches for the remote, but before he can turn the TV on, his phone rings. He picks his phone up off of the end table and looks at the caller ID: "Call from: Dixie Martin"

Lindsay stands in the hallway. She opens her purse and takes out her plane ticket. It reads: DESTINATION: Pine Valley, Pennsylvania. She speaks quietly to herself.)

Lindsay: I hate lying to you, Tad. But it's time I pay an old friend a visit.

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________

    Hayley:
    Brianna:

    Lucas:
    Skye:

    Clint:
    Erica:

(Inside the WAVE Studios. Hayley sneaks in through a side entrance, still wearing nothing but underwear and the long silk robe - which is now tied. She creeps down the hallway and towards her dressing room. When she gets to her dressing room, she is surprised to see the door already open. She peers in and spots Brianna packing things into a large cardboard box. She enters the room.)

Hayley: What the hell are you doing?

(Brianna looks up, visibly stunned to see Hayley there.)

Brianna: Hayley...We didn't expect you to show up today. It's so late already.

Hayley: Don't deflect the subject Brianna. What the hell are you doing in my dressing room?

Brianna: I shouldn't be the one to tell you this...

(Before Brianna can finish, Hayley storms out of the room and down the hall into the large open room containing the set on which the show is filmed, as well as the camera crew, snack table and makeup touch up table. She spots Lucas on the other side of the room and marches towards him.)

Hayley: Lucas, what the hell is going on here? Why is Brianna packing things in my office?

    Lucas: Hayley, I...I'm so sorry.

Hayley: Sorry for what? Lucas! What the hell are you talking about?

Lucas: You missed another day of taping, Hayley. I tried to defend you, I did. But...they've decided to let you go.

(A look of utter confusion spreads across Hayley's face for a long moment. Slowly, it morphs into realization, and then anger. Before she can continue speaking, Skye enters the room through a set of double doors across from where Hayley is standing.)

Hayley: You! You did this, didn't you?! You bitch. I asked you not to say anything.

    (Skye looks genuinely sympathetic.)

Skye: I didn't do anything Hayley. This is out of my control.

Hayley: No, I don't believe you. No, you did this! You hypocritical bitch. I asked you. I begged you not to do this to me. I should have known you couldn't change.

(Before Skye can speak, Clint enters the room and begins speaking.)

Clint: Skye had nothing to do with it, Hayley. This was my decision.

(Hayley turns around slowly to face him.)

    Hayley: Excuse me?

Clint: Your erratic behavior won't be tolerated anymore Hayley. It isn't benefiting the show or anyone involved, especially you. I'm very sorry, but you are being let go.

(Hayley slaps him across the face with all the force she has, leaving nail marks across his cheeks.)

Hayley: You bastard! You came to me. You came to me and told me you respected me, that you respected that this is MY show. But that was just a lie. It was nothing but a lie....You are just like the rest of them.

Clint: I know you're upset, Hayley. But this is your own doing.

(Tears well up in Hayley's eyes and cascade down her cheeks. She turns to storm out of the room but spots Erica Kane standing across the room. An evil glint fills her eyes as marches towards her. She shrieks.)

Hayley: YOU! This was your plan all along, wasn't it? Swoop in here and steal my show because you're such a complete failure yourself. I should have known better than to trust you. You truly are the shallow bitch everyone makes you out to be, Erica.

Erica: You should know I would never do that to you, Hayley.

Hayley: But you did. You did do it, Erica. You slutted your way through Pine Valley for 40 years, and once that well was dried up you decided to swoop in here and cash in on your own daughters death, at my expense.

(Tears well in Erica's eyes. Hayley opens her mouth to speak again, but Skye steps forward and in-between Erica and Hayley. She speaks.)

Skye: Don't do this, Hayley. Don't take this out on Erica, or anyone else. You've made some mistakes, but it's not to late to fix them.

(Hayley pushes Skye away from her and steps back.)

Hayley: Oh, shut UP Skye. I am so sick of your incessant preaching. You are an alcoholic, slut mob princess. And everyone in this family hates you. You may be a biological Chandler this week, but it doesn't mean anyone wants you. We have been pretending you didn't exist for decades, and you begging to be my safe place isn't going to get you back in the will, honey.

Skye: I've been where you are, Hayley. I know saying those things makes you feel better, but it isn't helping. You need to snap out of this denial --

    (Hayley cuts her off.)

Hayley: Oh, honey. I'm not in denial!

(She opens her purse and pulls out a flask.)

Hayley: Ladies and gentleman, Hayley Vaughan is off the wagon! And I am loving every damn minute of it!

(She uncaps the flask and takes a swig before recapping it and putting it into her purse. She turns to walk away. She moves towards the stairs, but before she can walk down them, Skye chases after her. Skye grabs her arm.)

Hayley: Let go of me, Skye!

(Hayley jerks forward, attempting to break Skye's grasp. Skye loses her balance and stumbles forward, down the steps. After the fall, she lies unconscious at the bottom of the steps, a small pool of blood on the floor near her head. Hayley looks down at her for a moment, before beginning down the steps. She walks down the steps, her high heels clicking with each step. When she reaches the bottom, she steps directly over Skye's unconscious body and walks out the exit of the building.)

    Skye:
    Blair:

    Jack:
    Billy:

(Inside Skye's club. She has just let Blair into the building, and the two begin speaking.)

Skye: I was so thrilled to get your call, Blair. Frankly, I didn't expect you to accept my offer.

Blair: Who said I was accepting your offer?

    (Skye rolls her eyes.)

Skye: Why else would you be here? If you were declining, you wouldn't have felt the need to do so in person.

Blair: Oh, don't be so smug Skye. It isn't flattering.

Skye: If we're going to work together, you're going to need to be...less of a bitch.

Blair: As long as you agree to do the same.

Skye: So you are accepting my offer?

Blair: Yes. You didn't leave me much choice. You're nothing if not an excellent business woman, Skye. Already promoting a club that hasn't even come close to opening. I didn't stand a chance.

(Skye looks at Blair suspiciously, squinting.)

Skye: Don't play me for a fool, Blair. I know you're here to spy on me.

Blair: And yet you still offered me the job?

    (Skye smirks)

Skye: I wouldn't have it any other way.

Blair: You're a lunatic. Do you know that?

Skye: I've been told. But don't get me wrong, Blair. I understand where you're coming from. Your personal life has been a mess these past few years. You don't want to set yourself up for another failure.I get that. And what better way to know if you have any chance of success here, than by spying on me?

Blair: You don't know anything about my personal life, Skye.

Skye: I heard all about the two Todd's situation. That must have been so challenging for you. You and Todd always had such a tumultuous relationship. Then he comes back to town with a new face, you reunite...And of course that was too good to be true. Then after what, ten years? You find out he isn't even really Todd, but Victor --a twin brother no one knew existed. Now you've been dumped by two Manning brothers. But you never know, maybe one of them will come crawling back.

Blair: One of them is dead, Skye. Shows how much you know.

Skye: So I heard. But is anyone ever really dead in Llanview? Maybe he's holed up somewhere waiting to make a triumphant return. No?

Blair: No, Todd murdered Victor Jr.

Skye: And from what I've heard, he was doing everyone a favor.

Blair: Do you remember what you just said about not being a bitch, Skye? You best believe I would have punched you five minutes ago if it weren't for the fact that we're working together.

Skye: No need to be rude, Blair. I was just trying to make small talk. Anyway--

(She is interrupted by a knock on the door. She moves past Blair and opens the door. Jack Manning stands outside, with another boy his age. Skye motions for them to enter.)

Blair: Jack?! Jack, what are you doing here?

Skye: I'll let you all catch up. Keep your phone on Blair, I'll be calling soon.

(With a quick smirk, Skye exits the building.)

Blair: Jack, what are you doing here? You can't just leave school with no notice.

Jack: I took the train. They don't know that I left, Mom. I needed to see you.

Blair: What's wrong? What is it?

(Before Jack can answer, Blair notices the young man next to him for the first time.)

    Blair: And who is this?

Jack: Mom, this is Billy. He's...my boyfriend.

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________

(Outside of the club, Skye stands in the alley. She takes out her cell phone and dials. She holds the phone up to her ear and waits for an answer.)

Skye: Well, hello Allison. Tell me....How is Victor Jr. doing?

    Jacqueline:
    Brianna:

    Mystery Woman:

(Inside the mystery woman's apartment. Jacqueline, Brianna and the mystery woman are seated in the living room.)

Mystery Woman: How is everything going on your end, Brianna?

Brianna: Perfectly well. Erica has been in almost every day this week. She'll be on set every day starting next week.

Mystery Woman: Wonderful. And you'll be her assistant, as well?

Brianna: Only temporarily. She's "auditioning" new assistants over the next few weeks. She's a bit of a diva, that one.

Mystery Woman: That doesn't surprise me. We'll just have to move quickly, then.

Jacqueline: What do you mean, move quickly? The plan--

(The mystery woman puts her hand up to silence Jacqueline.)

Mystery Woman: The plan has changed, dear.

    (Jacqueline stands, angry.)

Jacqueline: I will not risk getting caught, just because you're impatient.

(The mystery woman speaks in a cold tone.)

Mystery Woman: You'll do what you're told. Now have a seat.

    (Jacqueline sits down, visibly angry.)

Mystery Woman: Brianna, you now have two jobs.

    Brianna: Which are?

Mystery Woman: You will continue giving me regular reports on Ms. Kane. I want to know where she is, when she's there, and why. Do you understand?

    Brianna: Yes. And the other?

Mystery Woman: A woman named Lindsay Rappaport is opening an art studio here in Heaven's Meadow. Her grand opening is exactly two weeks from tonight. It will be a very large event. Anybody that matters in this town will be there. You are to convince Ms. Kane to attend. Once she's arrived, we will take action.

    ________________________________________________________________________________________________________

    Lucas:

(Lucas Erickson walks down a dimly lit hallway in an undisclosed location. At the end of the hallway, he reaches a door. On the wall outside of the door, there is a keypad. He punches in a code, and the door slides open. He steps into the room. A man with dark hair, seen only from behind, sits in the room - tied to a chair.)

Lucas: Well, if it isn't my favorite prisoner.

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________

    Hayley:

(At Hotel Heaven - A hotel on the outskirts of Heaven's Meadow. Hayley wake up in one of the rooms. The moment she opens her eyes, a searing headache emerges. She winces in pain. She attempts to stand from the bed, but finds that her legs are wobbly. She stumbles to the other side of the room, scrambling through her purse looking for the bottle of ibuprofen. She finds the pills, and places three in her hand. She moves towards the far wall, grabbing a water bottle from the minibar. She opens the bottle, pops the pills into her mouth, and takes a sip. After a moment, she notices for the first time that her clothes are scattered on the ground of the room. Looking down, she realizes that she is wearing nothing but a bra and underwear. Turning around slowly, she is horrified to see a man lying in the bed. After staring at the stranger for a long moment, she realizes what she's done. She instantly begins sobbing, and rushes towards the bathroom. She slams the door shut. Sobbing, she collapses to the ground against the door. She wipes the tear soaked hair out of her face, and turns to look at herself in the full length mirror hanging on the wall. She looks at her body, crumpled on the bathroom floor in nothing but her underwear. Sobbing, she speaks to her reflection.)

    Hayley: Who are you?

(Hayley lies there for several moments. She closes her eyes and weeps, the feelings of self-loathing and hate taking over once more. After several moments, she stands from the floor. She pulls a silk hotel robe off of the handle on the wall, and puts it on. She looks at herself in the mirror above the sink for a moment, before opening the door and exiting the bathroom. The stranger in her bed is still asleep. She makes her way across the room. She spots an open bottle of vodka sitting on a table near the couch. She grabs it, and takes a large chug. Tears still streaming down her face, she moves across the room and slides open the door to the room's balcony. She steps outside into the heat. Walking forward, she climbs over the balcony railing, and steps onto the ledge.)

    Lucas:
    Clint:

(In the WAVE Studios. Lucas is in his office. There is a knock on the door. He stands from behind his desk, and moves towards the door. He opens it and lets Clint Buchanan into the room.)

Lucas. Mr. Buchanan, what can I do for you?

Clint: I'm here to discuss Hayley Vaughan.

    Lucas: What about her?

(Clint takes a moment before he replies. After a sigh, he speaks.)

Clint: Something is wrong with her, and I'm fairly certain that you know what it is .

    Lucas: Mr. Buchanan, I--

    (Clint cuts him off.)

Clint: I don't have time for excuses, Lucas. I know Hayley has been having a rough time, and believe me, I sympathize. But I'm here to run a business.

Lucas: And her personal problems are getting in the way of that, am I correct?

Clint: You are. And if you know something that I don't, you need to tell me. The ratings for the show are already falling rapidly from last year, and Hayley's erratic behavior certainly isn't going to help matters.

(Lucas moves to the other side of his office and has a seat behind his desk.)

Lucas: Have you talked to Hayley about this?

Clint: I tried. She had a complete meltdown, at the very mention that she take time off from the show.

Lucas: This show is the only thing she has left. I'm sure you've heard about her husband's disappearance.

Clint: And I'm very sorry to hear about that. Believe me, Lucas. I respect that she made this show what it is. However, that doesn't mean that I can allow her to go on acting like this.

Lucas: There's nothing I can tell you, Mr. Buchanan. Your guess is as good as mine.

(Clint is visibly disgruntled. He moves towards the door, but turns around.)

Clint: I know you're very close to Hayley, Lucas. I respect the obligation that you feel to protect her. But if you find anything out, you let me know. Otherwise, very drastic changes will be coming.

(Clint exits the room, and shuts the door behind him. Lucas stands from behind his desk and moves towards the bookshelf on the other side of the room. He picks up a framed picture of him and Hayley, and begins speaking out loud to himself.)

Lucas: Consider yourself lucky, Hayley. I could have blown you, and your vodka bottle, sky high.

    (He chuckles.)

    Lucas: All in good time.

    Erica:
    Skye:

(Inside Erica's hotel room. Erica is in the bathroom freshening her makeup when she hears a knock on the door. She puts on her silk robe, and makes her way to the door. She swings the door open, expecting her room service delivery. She is stunned to see Skye Chandler standing in front of her. Skye doesn't wait for Erica to speak. Instead, she walks right past her and into the room.)

Erica: I'm in no mood for you today, Skye .

Skye: Trust me, I have no desire to be in your presence. Ever.

    (Erica rolls her eyes.)

Erica: Then why are you here, Skye?

Skye: Oh, don't roll your eyes at me, bitch. I happen to have a very good reason for coming to see you.

    Erica: Which is?

    Skye: It's about Hayley.

(A serious looks spreads over Erica's face.)

    Erica: What about Hayley?

Skye: She's in a very, very dark place, Erica. She needs our help.

Erica: What are you up to, Skye?

    Skye: Excuse me?

Erica: You don't honestly expect me to believe that you give a damn about Hayley, do you?

    Skye: She's my family, Erica.

Erica: Oh please, Skye. The Chandler's aren't your family. Most of them try to pretend you don't exist.
(Skye slaps Erica across the face.)

Skye: Don't you ever talk about the relationships I share with my family, Erica. You know nothing, and it's none of your damn business.

Erica: You are such trash, darling. It's sad really. I'm not going to engage with you any further. I won't lower myself to your level. Please leave.

Skye: I'm not going anywhere, Erica. I came here to discuss Hayley, and I'm not leaving until you listen.

Erica: What is it you think Hayley could possibly need your help with?

    Skye: She's drinking again, Erica.

(Instant concern spreads across Erica's face.)

    Erica: That's not funny.

    Skye: I know it isn't.

Erica: And what made you think that?

Skye: A couple weeks back I ran into her at the Meadow Club, and I could tell she'd been drinking. I hinted to her that I knew, hoping that she'd come to me for help. But she didn't. And last night, I went to see her at her house.

    Erica: And she was drunk?

Skye: She was trying to hide the alcohol when I got there, and she dropped the bottle. There was glass and booze everywhere. She is not in a good place, Erica. She's on a fast downward spiral, and I don't know how much longer she can live like this.

Erica: You're certain that you couldn't have misinterpreted the situation?

Skye: No, Erica! I'm not stupid! I've been there before. I am a recovering alcoholic. That is a battle I face every day. And I recognize the look in her eyes, Erica. I know you will, too. She needs our help.

    Erica: You're serious.

    Skye: Very.

Erica: Then I'm willing to put our differences aside, Skye. For Hayley.

    Lindsay:
    Anjelica:

(At Patty's. Anjelica is sitting at the bar. Lindsay walks up to her and begins speaking.)

Lindsay: You need to leave Viki alone, Anjie.

Anjelica: Have you always been this nosy?

Lindsay: Yes. Now, I meant what I said. Leave Viki alone.

Anjelica: By what stretch of the imagination is my relationship with Viki any of your business?

Lindsay: Viki is a good person, and I know what you're capable of. I'm not going to sit back and watch it happen.

Anjelica: You know, we spent a lot of time talking while we were cell mates...And in all that time, you never mentioned that you had a good friend named Viki.

Lindsay: I didn't say she was a good friend of mine.

Anjelica: Then why are you so concerned about her?

Viki: Just because we're not best friends, doesn't mean she deserves whatever it is you have planned. I know how you operate, Anjie. You're not exactly subtle.

Anjelica: Your nosiness is really getting on my last nerve, Lindsay.

Lindsay: I don't give a damn. I've filled Viki in on your entire past.

(Anjelica looks surprised and angry. Lindsay smirks and grabs Anjelica's martini, taking a sip.)

Lindsay: Yep, I know everything. The embezzlement, the fact that you didn't really grow up here, so on and so on. Not to mention your real name, the fact that your brother used to own the magazine...Oh Lord, I could go on all day. You get the gist.

(Lindsay grabs her purse off the bar, stands, and turns to leave. Before walking away, however, she turns and says one last thing.)

Lindsay: I left one key element out of the story I gave Viki. You know exactly what I'm talking about. And that can stay your little secret, so long as you quit The Banner and leave town. If you're not gone by the end of the week, I'll be forced to leak your story to the press. Luckily, I know someone that owns a major magazine right her in Heaven's Meadow.

(Lindsay gives Anjelica one last smirk and walks away.)

    "Rock Bottom? Try Again"

    This episode features:

Erika Slezak as Victoria Lord Banks

    Ric Herbst as Lucas Erickson

    Angell Conwell as Jacqueline

    Catherine Hickland as Lindsay Rappaport

    with

    Kelly Ripa as Hayley Vaughan

    and

    Robin Christopher as Skye Chandler

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________

    Skye:
    Hayley:

(Hayley is laying on the floor, sobbing. She is too ashamed to look her sister in the eye. Skye stands outside the window and is horrified by what she sees. Her mind races, and she realizes she should have come to see Hayley sooner after realizing she may be drinking again. She begins speaking in a calm tone.)

Skye: Hayley? Hayley, it's me, Skye. Open the door, and I'll help you get cleaned up.

    (Hayley sobs loudly.)

    Hayley: Go away, Skye.

Skye: Hayley, I know how difficult this must be for you. I understand that. But I'm here to help you, whatever you need.

(Hayley tries to stand from the floor, but her legs are unable to support her. She begins to fall, and has to reach out and grab the end-table next to her couch for support. A sharp pain shoots through her arm. She looks down, and notices several cuts on her arm, from the shattered glass on the ground. She wipes the tears off of her eyes and cheeks, and brushes the hair out of her face. She glances up and sees her sister still watching her through the window. She gains her footing, and walks towards the door. She swings it open, but is unable to say anything before Skye walks through the door.)

Skye: Hayley, I'm so sorry. I should have come to see you sooner, I--

    (Hayley cuts her off.)

Hayley: I don't need your help, Skye.

(Skye is taken aback by Hayley's harsh tone.)

Skye: I know we've never been close, Hayley. But--

    (Hayley cuts her off again.)

Hayley: That's right, Skye. And that's not going to change now.

Skye: I thought that we agreed to start over.

Hayley: Yeah, well I'm not falling for it Skye. I know exactly what you're up to.

(Skye is visibly shocked by Hayley's comments. She sets her purse down on the end-table and walks towards Hayley.)

Skye: What are you talking about, Hayley?

Hayley: You saw that I was in a bad place, Skye. You recognized it because you've been there. That much I believe. But you didn't approach me because you care. You approached me because you wanted to take advantage of me. What better way to weasel your way back into the Chandler family, then to befriend poor, drunken Hayley?

Skye: That is not true, Hayley. I would never do that to you.

Hayley: Why would I believe you, Skye? You've never cared about me before, why would you start now?

Skye: Because I have been there, Hayley. More times than you can count. And seeing someone in that place, it's awful. I see the pain in your eyes Hayley, and it breaks my heart. I want to help you. We are family.

Hayley: That's never meant anything before, Skye. And it doesn't now, either.

(Skye blinks back tears. She grabs her purse from the end-table and moves towards the door, stepping over the broken glass. She grabs the knob, but before she opens the door, she turns around and speaks.)

Skye: I know what you're going through, Hayley. And I don't think that you meant the things that you said. But even if you did, I'm still here for you.

(Skye opens the door and begins to leave, but Hayley begins to speak.)

    Hayley: Skye, wait.

    (Skye turns around.)

Hayley: If you truly care about me, don't tell anyone about this. Let me work through it on my own time.

(Skye blinks several times as tears drip down her cheek.)

Skye: I can't promise you that, Hayley.

(Skye turns around and exits the house, closing the door behind her. Hayley begins crying once more, knowing that Skye had been sincere. She turns to walk towards the kitchen, stepping right through the broken glass. She makes her way into the kitchen and opens the cabinet above the sink and removes a bottle of vodka, and a glass. She pours the vodka into the glass, and moves the glass to her lips. Her hand trembles as the cup touches her lip, and the burning of the alcohol in her throat evokes a feeling of both self loathing and numbness. She lowers the glass and pours herself another drink. Tears stream down her cheeks as she comes to the realization that she may have just turned away the only person who truly cares. The only person who could save her.)

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________

    Viki:
    Lindsay:

(At The Meadow Club. Viki and Lindsay are sitting at their table.)

    Viki: Excuse me?

Lindsay: You heard me, Viki. You cannot trust Anjelica Moore.

    (Viki is visibly confused.)

Viki: Who the hell is Anjelica Moore?

(Lindsay looks at Viki for a long moment, confused.)

Lindsay: I am talking to Viki, right?

Viki: Yes, but I'm starting to think you may have lost your mind, Lindsay. You're not making any sense. That woman's name is Anjelica

    King.

Lindsay: That may be the name she gave you, but it sure ain't the name I know her by.

Viki: You must be mistaken, Lindsay. She grew up in this town. The people here would know if she changed her name.

Lindsay: Yeah, she gave me that story, too. But I did a little research. Anjelica was born in this town, but moved when she was 5. Her parents are both deceased, and she only had one brother. In fact, he's the only reason she ever came back here.

    Viki: What do you mean?

Lindsay: I met her in prison, Viki. If you must know. And when she got out, nobody wanted to hire her. Her brother used to own your magazine, and he's the only person who was willing to give her a job. She changed her name so that no one would know they were siblings. She obliterated her past.

(Viki soaks this in for a moment, and then sighs.)

Viki: What could she possibly have done that prevented her from getting any type of job?

(Lindsay swirls the red wine in her glass. She takes a sip, and sets the cup back down. She sighs dramatically and begins speaking.)

Lindsay: Well, long story short...She embezzled her last employer out of millions and millions of dollars.

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________

    Jacqueline:
    Lucas:

(Jacqueline is sitting in her apartment. She is sipping a glass of wine and browses a magazine. She looks up when she hears the door to the apartment opening. Lucas Erickson enters.)

Jacqueline: Well, well, well. If it isn't my long lost husband.

    Lucas: That would be me.

    Jacqueline: Where have you been?

Lucas: I've been staying at the MeadowView Inn the past couple of nights. I needed to clear my head.

Jacqueline: A phone call would have been nice.

Lucas: Well, the phone works two ways my dear.

Jacqueline: I thought you might have been dead.

Lucas: And that still didn't prompt you to call?

(Jacqueline stands and moves to the other side of the room, refilling her wine glass.)

Jacqueline: Well, I was going to. But then I saw Hayley Vaughan's tweets about how wonderful you are. So I knew you weren't dead, just a deadbeat.

(Lucas ponders this for a moment.)

Lucas: Hayley has been going through a rough time lately.

Jacqueline: And it's about to get a whole lot worse, when she finds out that the only reason you ever took the job at WAVE was to ruin her life.

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________

    Skye:
    Adam:

(In Skye's hotel room. She stands, looking incredulously at her father, stunned by what he just said.)

Skye: What did you just say?

Adam: I said that I have two biological daughters in this town, Skye.

(Skye is visibly angered, and hurt. She walks towards him and emotionally begins flailing her arms against him. She is crying as she begins screaming.)

Skye: Don't! Don't you dare do this to me. How dare you come in here and say something like that to me. You know the pain that my being adopted caused me. And now you come in here and throw it in my face because you decided that, for once, you wanted to be my father!

(Adam grabs Skye's arms, attempting to calm her down. After a moment, he looks into her eyes and begins speaking.)

Adam: I would never do that to you, Skye. What I said is true.

Skye: I'm not stupid, Daddy. I saw the paternity test. I am not your daughter, and you saying otherwise doesn't change that.

Adam: Just hear me out, Skye. Please.

(Skye wipes away her tears with her hands, and moves to the other side of the room. She sits down on the couch and tries to blink back more tears.)

    Skye: I'm listening.

(Adam sits down in a chair located next to the couch, and begins speaking.)

Adam: I did have an affair with your mother, many years ago, while I was married to Althea.

Skye: She's never said anything about that, Daddy. And neither did you, when I first found out that she was my mother.

Adam: Just listen. When Rae found out she was pregnant, she wasn't totally sure who the father was. As you know, she had been involved with Alan Quartermaine around the time you were conceived, and our affair started very shortly after.

(Skye guffaws and rolls her eyes.)

Skye: And the conception period fell right in the middle of the two, am I right?

Adam: Yes. Alan's father, Edward, found out about the pregnancy and paid her to disappear. So, she came to me and told me that she may be pregnant with my child, and that she planned to give you up for adoption.

(Skye stands from the couch and moves towards the window. She stands in front off the window, looking into the rain. A single tear falls down her cheek.)

    Skye: Go on.

Adam: Now, Althea and I had been trying for some time to have a baby, but she was unable to get pregnant. So I suggested to Rae that we would adopt the baby. She agreed, and Althea never knew any better. As far as she was concerned, we were raising a child from a mother I found through an adoption agency. Everyone else believed that you were our biological daughter. Althea wanted it that way. She felt shame in not being able to carry a child, and she didn't want anyone to know.

Skye: And all that time, you knew that I might be your daughter...But you never had a test done? I don't understand.

(Adam moves towards Skye and touches her cheek, wiping away the tear.)

Adam: It didn't matter to me, Skye. You were my daughter, no matter what a piece of paper said.

(Skye moves past him and sits on the couch once again.)

Skye: When I found out that Rae was my mother, she told me you weren't my father. Didn't you want to know for sure?

Adam: I thought that I did. She showed me a paternity test that said I wasn't the father.

Skye: Then why are you so convinced that you are?

Adam: Several months ago I got a call from Rae. She was in New York, and asked me to meet with her. I was skeptical, but she told me that it was regarding you, so I went. When I got there, she told me that the paternity test that she had done all those years ago had been tampered with.

Skye: But who would do that?

Adam: Althea's mother, Rosemary. She was a nurse, in the hospital where Rae had your paternity test done. When she read Rae's patient file, she saw that I was a potential father to her unborn child. She didn't want Althea to be hurt, and she knew that my having a child by another woman, while Althea was unable to conceive...

(Adam's voice cracks. He coughs back the lump in his throat and continues.)

Adam: It would have broken her.

Skye: So she switched the results.

Adam: Yes, but Rae never knew that. Not until last year, when Rosemary contacted her and asked to see her. She was very ill at that point, and admitted everything.

(Skye stands and moves towards the bar . She pours herself of ice cold water and sips, slowly.)

Skye: How long have you known?

Adam: Several months now. Rae wanted to tell you, but I asked her to let me do it. I thought that it would be the perfect way to bring us back together, Skye. But then so much happened. First I find out that Stuart is alive,, and then JR had a complete breakdown. I kept putting it off, because I didn't know how to do it.I was scared, Skye. But with everything that Hayley and JR have gone through this year, I knew that I owed it to you to tell you.

(Skye sets down her glass, and turns to look at her father. There is a cold look in her eyes.)

    Skye: You cowardly bastard.

    Adam: Skye...

Skye: No! NO! Don't stand there and make excuses for yourself. I won't listen to it, not anymore. I spent my entire life trying to excuse your horrible parenting.

(Adam begins moving towards the door.)

Skye: No, Daddy! You don't just get to walk out like that! I'm not a five year old girl anymore. I listened to you, and now you'll listen to me.

    (Adam turns around.)

Skye: When I came to Pine Valley, all those years ago...All I wanted was for you to love me. I wanted to be your daughter, that's all. But you always treated me differently, Daddy. You always did. And I know that I've done some horrible things, but I am not the monster everybody makes me out to be.

Adam: I've never thought of you that way, Skye.

Skye: Yes you did! Yes you did, Daddy. But the truth is, I am just like you. I am more like you than any of your other children, and you never wanted to see that. I know, I'm a bitch. I know that, Daddy...But everything you have always condemned me for, came from you.

Adam: I have always stood by you through all of the things you've done.

Skye: Maybe. But you're also the first to throw them back in my face.

Adam: I know that I was never the best father to you, Skye. That's why I came here, to change that.

Skye: It's a little bit late, Daddy.

(Adam opens his mouth to speak, but Skye cuts him off.)

Skye: You know, there's a part of me that's glad I'm your daughter. I had a very good relationship with Alan Quartermaine. I loved him very much, but I alwayswanted it to be you, Daddy. And now that it is...It just doesn't make things better. How do you think it made me feel, when I was just a little girl, and you walked away? I made so many excuses for you, Daddy...And when I found out that I was adopted, I allowed it to be just another excuse. You left because I wasn't yours. And it hurt. It broke me, Daddy. But now, I know that you left me....You left me, when you knew I might have been your daughter. That makes it hurt all over again, just like it did when I was a little girl And now, you find out that I'm your daughter...And you wait, what, ten months, to tell me? What does that say? What does that say about how much you really care about me, Daddy? I just don't know how to believe that you care, at all.

(Adam is crying heavily at this point.)

    Adam: I'm so sorry, Skye.

Skye: I need you to go. I need you to go, Daddy. I can't do this...Not right now.

(Heartbroken, Adam turns and walks towards the door. He opens it, but before her leaves, he turns and speaks.)

    Adam: I love you.

(He leaves the room before Skye can respond, shutting the door behind him. Skye moves to the table and grabs her glass of water. Screaming, she throws it at the door and watches it shatter. She falls to the ground, sobbing.)

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________

    Viki:
    Anjelica:

    Lindsay:

(At The Meadow Club. Viki and Anjelica are sitting at a table inside the club's restaurant.)

Viki: I just don't think the debut cover story is strong enough, Anjelica. Our first official issue as "The Banner" launches next week, and I just don't think what we have makes enough of a splash.

Anjelica: I've worked at this magazine for several years now, Viki. I know what sells.

Viki: It's no longer the same magazine, Anjelica. The Banner will have a different feel, and I want our first issue to represent that. And I just don't think that centering our first issue on celebrity weight-loss is the best way to debut with a splash.

    Anjelica: I disagree.

Viki: It's not your call, Anjelica. Ultimately, it's up to me. I want you to pull the story.

Anjelica: And replace it with what?

Viki: You tell me! That's what I pay you to do, dear.

    (Anjelica is visibly flustered.)

Anjelica: I just think you should trust me on this--

(She does not finish her sentence, as they are interrupted by Lindsay Rappaport, who has approached the table.)

    Lindsay: Well hello, ladies.

(Viki looks stunned to see Lindsay.)

Viki: Lindsay, I had no idea that you were--

    Lindsay: Out of prison?

    (Anjelica chuckles.)

    Viki: Well, yes.

Lindsay: I haven't been out long. I just relocated to New Hampshire, and I'm opening an art studio. Next week, in fact.

(Before Viki can respond, Anjelica begins speaking.)

Anjelica: I'll leave you two to catch up. I have work to do. Nice seeing you, Lindsay.

(Anjelica stands from the table and walks away. Lindsay sits down in her seat.)

Viki: How do you know Anjelica, Lindsay?

Lindsay: That's not important, Viki. What is important, is that you cannot trust her.

    Hayley:
    Skye:

(Hayley is inside her house. She walks into the living room from the kitchen, holding a freshly poured drink in one hand , and a bottle of tequila in the other. She is seated on the couch, and allows herself to become consumed in thought. Her mind races as she ponders the idea that Mateo may have walked out on her. She begins crying, and wonders why she isn't good enough - Not only for Mateo, but for all of America. In reality, she understands that Wave's slagging ratings are not her fault, but her unstable emotional state prevents her from fully realizing this. Fearing that her drinking may cause her to be fired from the show, she vows the she will stop. She stands, and moves towards the kitchen, intending to dump the bottle of tequila. However, on her way to the kitchen, she passes the fireplace and spots her and Mateo's wedding photo on the mantle. The depression consumes her once more. She moves towards the couch, and pours herself another drink. She is startled by a pounding on the door. Though Hayley cannot see her, Skye Chandler stands on the other side of the door.)

Skye: Hayley! Hayley, are you in there? It's me, Skye. I'm really sorry, I know it's late.

(Skye pounds on the door once more.)

Skye: Hayley! Hayley, please answer the door. I really need to talk to someone. I don't know where else to go.

(Hayley stands from the couch, and attempts to walk into the kitchen to stash the alcohol before answering the door. However, in her drunken state, she stumbles and falls. The bottle of tequila shatters. Skye hears the shatter from outside, and moves towards the window next to the front door. She peers through the window and see's Hayley crumpled in the pile of booze and broken glass. The sisters make eye contact as Hayley begins sobbing.)

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________

    Skye:
    Adam:

(In Skye's hotel room. She stands, holding the door open while her father, Adam Chandler, stands in the hallway. He moves past her into the room. Skye, stunned by his presence, closes the door and slowly turns around to face him.)

Skye: What are you doing here, Daddy?

Adam: We are long overdue for a reunion, darling.

(Skye is visibly nervous and emotional. She clears the lump in her throat and begins speaking.)

Skye: It has been a very long time, hasn't it?

Adam: I've missed you very much, Skye.

Skye: You don't have to lie to me, Daddy.

(Adam seems surprised by her response.)

Adam: I have missed you every single day since you walked away, Skye. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you.

    Skye: Could have fooled me.

Adam: What is that supposed to mean?

Skye: I walked away, Daddy! Yes, I did! But you didn't come after me! You never looked for me, never reached out. Not once in all these years!

(Skye is crying at this point, and tears stream down her cheeks.)

Adam: You left, Skye. What was I supposed to do?

Skye: LOOK for me, Daddy! I know I could have reached out. Maybe I should have. But I was your child, or at least I spent most of my life thinking so. And I just wanted you to look for me. To show that you cared.

Adam: I knew where you were. I always made sure that you were safe.

Skye: Is that supposed to make me feel better? That you knew and never tried to mend things with me?

Adam: You left Skye! After you found out that you were adopted, you vanished. You cut off all contact with me! I didn't know what to do.

Skye: What did you expect me to do, Daddy?! I was a grown woman, and I found out that my entire life was a LIE! You always treated me differently, Daddy. And after all those years, to find out that it was because I wasn't truly your daughter?! How do you think that made me feel?!

    (Adam is crying.)

Adam: I was wrong, Skye. I should have reached out to you. But after you left--

(Skye cuts him off, yelling emotionally.)

Skye: Stop saying that! Stop putting this on me, Daddy! YES, I left. That was my choice! But you are the "parent" here. If you had ever given a damn, you would have reached out to me. But you didn't.

Adam: I thought you didn't want me to, Skye. I was wrong. I'm sorry. I love you...I always have.

Skye:I love you too, Daddy. I spent my whole life trying to show you that, in my own twisted way. And I've always known that you loved me, the best way you knew how. All I've ever wanted is to have a real relationship with you, Daddy. But I never believed that you wanted the same.

(Adam is choked up. He tries to speak, but cannot find the right words. He moves towards Skye and touches her on the shoulder. She looks him in the eyes, and for a moment she forgets all of her anger and truly feels his love for the first time in years. She snaps back to reality, and moves towards the bedside table. She grabs a tissue and dabs her eyes.)

Skye: How did you know I would be here?

Adam: Hayley came to see me, and she mentioned it.

(A brief sense of anger rushes throughout Skye.)

Skye: Did she tell you to come see me?

Adam: No, that was my choice. I'm so glad the two of you are forming a relationship.

Skye: So, what? You thought you'd take her lead, and reach out to the black sheep of the family?

Adam: That's not it at all, Skye. I want to have a real relationship with you again.

(Skye begins crying once more. She clenches her eyes shut, trying to fight back the tears.)

Skye: I want to believe you, so badly. But why? Why now?

Adam: Seeing the pain Hayley is in, now...it really made me realize how wrong I've been. All the pain you must have faced all those years ago... I know I should have been there more for you. I should have chased after you. But I didn't, and I was wrong. I'd like to mend those fences now.

Skye: I would love that, Daddy. More than anything. But I just don't know how to trust you.

(Adam winces slightly at this comment.)

Skye: Can you blame me? You finally reach out to me, and it just happens to be when your biological daughter is living in the same town as me?

Adam: I have two biological daughters in this town, Skye.

    Hayley:
    Lucas:

(Inside the WAVE Studios. Hayley walks into her dressing room, running late. She looks in the mirror and is shocked at how tired she looks. Her head is pounding and she feels nauseous. She struggles to remember how much she had to drink the night before. Sitting in the makeup chair, she runs a wash cloth under the hot water. She presses the cloth to her forehead, feeling an instant sense of relief. She is overwhelmed as her mind races, thinking of drinking. Part of her hates the alcohol, for causing her such pain. But the majority of her craves it, and despite her current condition, she knows she will drink again tonight. She is startled, and jumps, when she hears a knock on the door. She makes her way over to the door and opens it. Lucas Erickson is standing in the hall.)

Lucas: Hayley what are you doing? You were supposed to be on set thirty minutes ago!

    (Hayley is extremely confused.)

Hayley: What? No! We don't start taping until 7, it's only 6:30.

Lucas: Hayley you were supposed to come in early today because the person you were supposed to interview couldn't make it for the normal taping schedule.

Hayley: Well, I...I uhm, I forgot. I'm sorry. I thought that was next week. I--

Lucas: Hayley, I called you last night and reminded you. We spoke on the phone.

(Hayley is visibly panicked, as she has no recollection of the conversation.)

Hayley: I just got my days mixed up, is all. I'll make it up somehow, I promise.

Lucas: I've been calling you all morning, Hayley. Where have you been?

(She looks around frantically and realizes she does not have her phone with her. She has no idea where she left it, and finds herself stumbling to make an excuse.)

Hayley: I lost my phone a few days ago, and haven't gotten around to replacing it.

Lucas: Hayley, we spoke on it last night. What's going on with you?

Hayley: Then I guess I lost it yesterday, Lucas! I'm sorry! I screwed up, I know. I'll fix things. I promise.

Lucas: This is becoming a habit, Hayley. This is the third taping you've missed in the past month. I can't make excuses for you forever.

Hayley: I know, and I appreciate your help.

(She holds her hands up to her face for a long moment, and sighs.)

Hayley: I know, I've really got to get myself together. And I will. Especially with Erica coming on board, and my sister coming on as co-executive producer.

Lucas: What do you mean, your sister is going to be co-executive producer?

Skye: They didn't tell you yet? Clint, the man who bought the production company, hired my sister Skye.

    (Panic spreads across Lucas' face.)

    Lucas: Skye... Chandler?

Hayley: Yes? Lucas...What's wrong? Why do you have that look on your face? Do you know her?

Lucas: I used to be married to her.

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________

    Jacqueline:

    Mystery Woman:

(Inside Jacqueline's apartment. She is speaking to the mystery woman.)

Jacqueline: Everything is going exactly as planned.

Mystery Woman: Very well, then. And you're sure Brianna will keep her mouth shut?

Jacqueline: Yes, I've been watching her very closely.

    Mystery Woman: And her brother?

Jacqueline: Brandon is a good man, he doesn't need to be part of this. I won't--

(The mystery woman cuts her off.)

Mystery Woman: Don't tell me you have feelings for him, Jacqueline? You're a married woman.

Jacqueline: Not happily. Brandon is a wonderful man...I care about him. I do.

Mystery Woman: I didn't bring him into this so that you could fall in love. You were only supposed to get involved with him to keep an eye on his sister. Don't get distracted.

Jacqueline: I'm not. You'll have Erica Kane in your hands in no time. But are you sure this is how you want it to be?

Mystery Woman: This is my plan, Jacqueline. Not yours. We'll do it my way.

Jacqueline: I know, I'm just saying--

(The Mystery Woman cuts her off again.)

Mystery Woman: Don't argue with me, darling. Mother always knows best.

    Skye:
    Blair:

    (Inside Blair's hotel room.)

    Blair: Excuse me?

Skye: I want you to run the club for me, Blair.

Blair: Have you lost your mind?

(Skye moves to the other side of the room and pours herself a glass of water.)

Skye: No, Blair. It makes perfect sense.

Blair:Skye, on what planet does it make sense for two people that hate each other to go into business together?

Skye: It's true, Blair...I don't like you. But that doesn't mean you're not good at running a club.

Blair: I'm damn good at running a club, Skye. That's why I'm opening my own.

Skye: But why bother? It's not as if Heaven's Meadow is known for it's club scene,

Blair: And I'm hoping to change that.

    Skye: And so am I.

Blair: Skye, are you drinking again? You're not making any sense.

(Skye is visibly angered by the drinking remark. She moves towards the couch and sits down next to Blair.)

Skye: Look, I've run a club before. But I don't have nearly as much experience as you do in that area. I've already purchased the property, and I'm going to open the club. But with my new job, I need someone to run it for me.

Blair: Skye, do you honestly expect me to believe that this offer is solely from a business standpoint? You're up to something, and I don't want any part of it.

Skye: With my business savvy, and your experience in this area...Blair, this club could be huge. Why should we open two clubs and compete against each other? If we combine our skills, there's no chance we won't succeed.

Blair: And that would be a great plan, if we didn't hate each other.

Skye: Well you know what they say, dear. Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

(Skye stands up and walks towards the door. She puts her hand on the knob, but before she opens it, she turns around and speaks.)

Skye: Think on it, Blair. I'll be in touch.

(Skye exits Blair's room and shuts the door. For a moment, she stands outside of Blair's room with a smirk on her face, before walking away.)

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________

    Hayley:
    Clint:

(At the WAVE Studios. Hayley is in her dressing room, getting ready for a show. There is a knock on the door. Hayley stands from her chair and moves towards the door. She opens it and lets Clint Buchanan into the room.)

    Clint: Hello, Ms. Vaughan.

Hayley: Please, call me Hayley. I wasn't expecting to see you so soon. I was told you weren't going to be spending time on set until next week.

Clint: Well, that's true. But I came here specifically to speak to you.

Hayley: Well, how can I help you?

Clint: I want to discuss the future of Wave.

(Panic overtakes Hayley. She moves past Clint, to the other side of the room. She pours herself a glass of water and takes a drink. Her lack of self esteem and feelings of self doubt have taken over. She fears she may lose her job, and she knows she may not be able to handle it.)

Hayley: What is it you want to discuss, Mr. Buchanan?

Clint: I've been watching the show over the past few weeks, Hayley. And you just don't seem happy anymore.

Hayley: Oh, no. No, no, no. I've just been tired, is all. I've been having trouble sleeping lately. I assure you, I am completely --

    (Clint cuts her off.)

Clint: I don't want you to worry, Hayley. I didn't come in here to scare you. I just wanted to get to the bottom of it. At the end of the day, you are WAVE. And there is obviously a problem somewhere within the system. I'd like to fix it.

(Hayley continues to panic internally. Her mind races. She knows that she can't tell anyone that she's been drinking, and she fears that her secretiveness may cost her down the line. )

Hayley: I don't want you to think I'm not happy here, Mr. Buchanan. I love Wave, it's just been a difficult time for me lately.

Clint: I know, and that's why I think that you should take some time off. Erica is debuting next week, and after the fans warm up to her, you can go on a nice long vacation. And as soon as you're ready, you can come back.

(Anger rages throughout Hayley's body. She throws the glass of water across the room.)

Hayley: NO! No, I will NOT be pushed out. This is MY show, Mr. Buchanan! And I won't let you do this! I won't!

(Clint is visibly shocked by Hayley's outburst.)

Clint: Hayley, I'm not trying to push you out. I wouldn't do that. Like I said, Wave is your show.

(Hayley is crying at this point.)

Hayley: Then why are you doing this to me? I know how these things work, Mr. Buchanan. You tell me I'm going on vacation, and when I get back you hand me a big fat check and tell me my contracts been bought out.

(Clint stands, worry spread across his face. He moves towards Hayley and looks at her face to face.)

Clint: I assure you, Hayley. Nothing like that is going to happen. I'm sorry to have upset you. We will discuss this later.

(Clint exits the room, and is genuinely worried about Hayley. After Clint is gone, Hayley immediately breaks down. She realizes how irrational she had been. She also realizes that Clint had been sincere, and that he hadn't intended to fire her. She now fears that her emotional outbreak may cause him to rethink his kindness, and she fears that her fragile emotional state may have been the final straw in costing her the last thing she truly loves. In tears, she moves towards the cabinets in her dressing room. She takes out a bottle of vodka, and pours herself a drink.)

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________

    Jacqueline:
    Brandon:

    Brianna:

(At Brandon's apartment. Jacqueline, Brandon, and Brianna are sitting in the living room. Brandon and Jacqueline are on the couch, while Brianna is sitting in a large chair adjacent to the couch.)

Brandon: I'm so glad the two of you are finally getting to meet.

Brianna: Me too. I've heard so much about you, Jacqueline.

Jacqueline: All good things, I hope?

Brianna: Of course. Now tell me, what is it you do for a living?

    Jacqueline: I'm a commercial real-estate agent.

Brianna: That must be very interesting work.

(Jacqueline sips her wine, and sighs.)

Jacqueline: Well, it has its ups and downs. How about you?

Brianna: I'm working as an assistant on the talk show Wave. But I'm also working on a degree in art education.

Jacqueline: So that artistic sense runs in the family, huh?

Jacqueline: I suppose so, but my specialty is painting. I'm not half the photographer Brandon is.

    (Brandon laughs.)

Brandon: Yes, but I can't paint to save my life, so we're about equal.

(They all chuckle, as a buzzer sounds from the kitchen. Brandon announces that dinner is ready. He gets up from the couch and walks through the door into the kitchen. Brianna stands from her chair and moves to the couch, next to Jacqueline. She begins speaking, in a whisper.)

Brianna: So, how long do we have to pretend we don't know each other?

(Jacqueline looks over her shoulder to make sure Brandon hasn't re-entered the room.)

Jacqueline: Brandon can never know that we are working together, Brianna. I'm paying you very well to keep your mouth shut.

Brianna:I don't have a problem with that, Jacqueline. But don't you dare hurt my brother, or I will blow you sky high. He matters more to me than all the money in the world, and I won't let your vendetta against Erica Kane hurt him.

    ________________________________________________________________________________________________________

    Skye:
    Adam:

(Skye is inside her hotel room. She is on her phone.)

Skye: Hi, Lila Rae. I hope your having fun in Europe with your grandmother. I can't wait to see you, soon. I love you. I'm sure you're out having fun now, so just call me back when you get this, okay? Love you.

(Skye hangs up the phone and sets it down. There is a knock on the door. She walks to the door and swings it open. She is stunned to see her father, Adam Chandler, standing in the hallway.)

    Adam: Hello, darling.

    Blair:
    Skye:

(Blair is sitting in her hotel room, looking at potential properties for her club on the computer. She is startled by a knock on the door. She stands and walks towards the door. She opens it, and is visibly angered to see Skye Chandler standing in the hall. Skye has a smirk on her face. She begins speaking.)

    Skye: Well hello, sunshine!

(Skye pushes past Blair and walks into the hotel room. She sets her purse on an end-table and then seats herself on the couch.)

Blair: What the hell are you doing here, Skye?

Skye: You know, everyone in this town seems to lack basic manners. The customary response would be "Hello, Skye! How are you today?"

Blair: And that's exactly what I would say, if I was speaking to someone I was interested in seeing.

Skye: Someone's in a bad mood.

Blair: Your presence has a tendency to do that to people.

Skye: Blair, bitter really isn't your color. It's aged you horribly.

Blair: Just like being a bitch has aged you.

(Skye fights the urge to punch her. She stands and moves closer to Blair, who is still standing in front of the open hotel room door. Skye brushes past Blair and closes the door. She turns around and begins speaking.)

Skye: I didn't come here to fight with you, Blair.

Blair: Then please, enlighten me, Skye. What did you come here for?

Skye: To discuss business. I know you must be very disappointed that I got the property you were looking at.

    Blair: There are other properties.

Skye: Of course there are. But this one is in such a great location. It can't be beat.

    Blair: We'll see about that.

Skye: Actually, we won't. That's why I'm here.

    Blair: I don't understand.

Skye: You see, I just accepted another job. I'm going to be an executive producer for the talk show WAVE.

Blair: And what does that have to do with me?

Skye: Well, working full time as an executive producer is certainly going to take up a lot of my time. I'm afraid it's going to prevent me from giving my full attention to the club.

Blair: So...what? You want to sell me the property?

Skye: Oh no, I'm still opening the club.

    Blair: Then...?

Skye: I want you to run it for me.

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________

    Jacqueline:
    Brandon:

(At Holy Springs Cafe, a cafe on the other side of Heaven's Meadow. Jacqueline is sitting at her table, sipping a glass of wine. Brandon enters and walks to her table, and has a seat.)

    Brandon: Hey baby.

Jacqueline: Hi angel. How was your day?

Brandon: Same as usual, I suppose. How about you?

Jacqueline: Slow, really. Showed a couple of properties, but nothing too exciting.

Brandon: What ever happened with that client you were talking about the other day? The one who didn't get the property she wanted?

Jacqueline: Well, she was disappointed, of course. But she's not giving up. We're going to look at some more properties tomorrow, actually.

    Brandon: That's wonderful.

Jacqueline: Now, let's get down to business. You said you had something important you needed to discuss with me, and I have a feeling it isn't about my clients.

    (Brandon chuckles.)

Brandon: You know that I really care about you, right?

(Jacqueline is internally nervous at the sound of this, and fears that he may be breaking up with her.)

Jacqueline: And I care about you, too.

Brandon: We've been dating for two months now, and I think it's time you met my family.

    (Jacqueline is relieved.)

    Jacqueline: I would love to.

Brandon: As you know, my parents are deceased. But I would really like you to meet my sister.

Jacqueline: I didn't know you had a sister.

Brandon: Yes, her name is Brianna. We have a difficult relationship, but I love her very much.

Jacqueline: Then I'd be honored to meet her.

(Brandon's cell phone rings, and he looks at it.)

Brandon: It's a text, from Angelica. Apparently there's been some sort of emergency at the office. I have to go.

(He stands and kisses her on the cheek, before exiting. After he is gone, she retrieves her purse from the floor. She reaches inside and slips her gold wedding ring back on.)

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________

    Tad:
    Lindsay:

(Inside Lindsay's art studio. Lindsay and Tad have just entered, and Lindsay flips on the light switch.)

    Tad: Oh wow, it's beautiful.

Lindsay: And as of yesterday, it's officially mine.

Tad: It's in great condition, too.

Lindsay: I have a cleaning crew coming in tomorrow, and I'm going to do some painting later this week. I just can't believe it's actually happening.

    Tad: Why's that?

Lindsay: When I got out of prison, it all seemed too good to be true. I never expected that I would find a space like this.

(Tad moves closer to Lindsay and kisses her cheek.)

Tad: You deserve the best, Lindsay. And I know you'll be successful in whatever you do.

    (The two kiss.)

Lindsay: Can I ask you something, Tad?

    Tad: Anything.

Lindsay: Why haven't you told me about the woman? The one who broke your heart.

(Tad looks surprised by the question.)

Lindsay: I don't mean to pry. It's just that, other than the first day we met...You haven't mentioned her. And I've told you so much about my past. I just want to get to know you better, is all.

Tad: I'm sorry, Lindsay. It was just...difficult for me, and I just didn't want to dredge the past into our relationship.

Lindsay: And I don't want to pressure you, Tad. That's not what I'm trying to do. I just want you to know that you can trust me.

Tad: I do trust you, Lindsay.

(Tad pauses for a long moment, then begins speaking.)

Tad: Her name is Dixie Cooney...

(Tad continues speaking, but Lindsay doesn't hear him. She freezes at the name "Dixie Cooney". A name she recognizes. A woman she knows.)

    Viki:
    Clint:

    (Inside Clint and Viki's penthouse)

    Viki: You did what?!

Clint: I gave Skye Chandler a job, as executive producer of WAVE.

Viki: Clint why would you do that? You know that woman's past! She's nothing but trouble!

Clint: Yes, but that doesn't have anything to do with her ability to do her job.

Viki:Of course it does, Clint! That woman will stop at nothing to get what she wants. And if she accepted your offer, she wants something. I know how she operates, Clint.

(Clint moves over towards Viki, and sits next to her on the couch.)

Clint: I've done a lot of bad things in my past, too, Viki. And you gave me another chance. Skye deserves the same!

Viki: No, she doesn't!Clint, it was different with you. You are the father of my children, I've known you for decades. But you don't have a history with Skye the way that I do! She is bad news, Clint. And I think you know that, deep down.

Clint: I also know that she is the best business woman in this city.

Viki: Do you have any idea how many savvy business women there are in this country? That would jump at the chance to work for a talk sow like WAVE? Why does it have to be Skye?

Clint: Skye has an attachment to Wave. Hayley Vaughan is her sister. Combine her personal connection with her business skills, and she'll have WAVE back on top in no time.

Viki: I doubt that in Skye's mind, her "sister" means any sort of "attachment", Clint. Unless Hayley has something Skye wants, Skye probably doesn't care about her at all.

Clint: Trust me, Viki. I understand where you're coming from, but you have to trust me.

Viki: It's not you I don't trust, Clint. It's her. She's more destructive and conniving than you could ever imagine.

    Hayley:
    Erica:

(At the WAVE Studio, inside Hayley's dressing room. Hayley is laying on the couch. She has just awoken from her sleep, and cannot remember when she got to the studio. Her mind races, and her head pounds at the sound of repeated knocking on the door. She manages to mumble a "Hold On" as she forces herself to get up from the couch. She stumbles to the mirror on the opposite wall. She pushes her hair out of her face, and wipes the smudged makeup off of her face with a wash cloth. Realizing that she is still wearing yesterday's clothes, she pulls a silk robe over her fully clothed body and answers the door. Erica Kane marches in. )

Erica: Oh, Hayley I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get by to see you! I --

(She doesn't finish her sentence, as she has turned around to fully look at Hayley for the first time since entering the room. She immediately realizes something is wrong.)

    Erica:Hayley, darling...Is everything okay?

Hayley Oh, yeah...No, I just didn't sleep well last night. Tossing and turning, you know.

(Erica moves towards Hayley. She reaches out her hand and touches Hayley's face.)

    Erica: Hayley, honey...You've been crying.

(Hayley brushes past Erica to the other side of the room, wiping her eyes with her hands.)

Hayley: No, no. I was just...yawning. I just woke up from a nap.

(Erica moves towards the vanity on the other side of the room. She motions for Hayley to sit in the chair in front of the vanity. Hayley sits down, as Erica begins putting makeup on her. As she puts the makeup on Hayley, she begins speaking.)

Erica: I can only imagine how difficult Mateo's disappearance has been on you, dear. I understand how hard it is, just to get through the day. When Kendall died, I couldn't even get out of bed. I laid there all day, crying and wishing it was all a dream. And, for a very long time I thought that nothing would ever be okay again.

(Erica pauses and kneels down to look at Hayley face to face.)

Erica: But then I realized, that you can't live like that. Yes, it hurts. And you have every right to be upset. But you can't let it consume you, because in the end that will only hurt you more.

(At this point, both women are crying. Erica reaches out and wipes the tears from Hayley's face. Hayley speaks through her sobs.)

Hayley: I just don't know how to do this alone, Erica.

(Erica reaches in and hugs her tightly.)

    Erica: You're not alone.

    PINE VALLEY, PENNSYLVANIA:

    Adam:
    Hayley:

(Inside the Chandler mansion. Adam is sitting in the living room, reading a book. He doesn't hear as Hayley stumbles through the front door. She is crying rather hysterically as makeup streaks down her face. She stumbles across the foyer and into the living room. Stunned, Adam looks up.)

Adam: Hayley? Hayley, what are you doing here? I thought you were in New--

(He doesn't finish is sentence, as he notices his daughter is weeping. He stands and rushes towards her, embracing her in a hug. She collapses into his arms.)

Adam: Hayley, what's wrong? What is it dear?

(Hayley breaks free from his embrace and moves towards the couch. After she is seated, she opens her clutch and pulls out a tissue to dab her eyes.)

Hayley: I just needed to see you, Daddy. I just needed to get away from it all, and I didn't know where else to go.

Adam: You know you are always welcome here. This is your home. Now tell me, darling, what's wrong?
Hayley: It's just, everything is falling apart. Every ounce of stability in my life is gone, and I don't know what to do.
Adam: There's still been no word on Mateo, I'm assuming?
(Hayley stands and moves to the other side of the room, picking up a picture of her and Mateo and holding it for a moment before speaking.)
Hayley: No, Daddy. No matter what I do. No matter what the police do, no matter what you do. It's like he just vanished.
(Adam moves towards his daughter. He stands behind her and places his hands on her shoulders.)
Adam: We will find him eventually, Hayley. And he'll be home with you, where he belongs.
    (Hayley swivels around.)
Hayley: But what if he doesn't want to come home, Daddy?
Adam: Don't talk like that, Hayley.
Hayley: For all we know, it's true Daddy! There is no evidence that Mateo was kidnapped. The police have said it all along. He may very well have left of his own accord
Adam: Mateo would never leave you, Hayley.
(Hayley begins crying once more. She pushes past her father and begins yelling.)
Hayley: But what if he DID, Daddy? How am I supposed to get up every morning and smile in front of a camera when I know damn well the man I love more than anything may have walked out on me. And even if he didn't, what's the other possibility? That he's dead?! I just can't do it, Daddy. I can't!
(Angered, she throws the picture of her and Mateo across the room. It hits the wall and shatters. Adam rushes to his daughter and embraces her once more. Hayley clutches to her father, sobbing, and begins speaking.)
Hayley: I have failed everyone and everything that I love. Mateo is gone, and Wave is tanking. How is it supposed to make me feel that they had to bring in my ex-stepmother to save the show. MY SHOW!
(Adam pulls away from Hayley, confused.)
    Adam: Who?
Hayley: Erica, Daddy. And it's not that I'm not happy to see her. I am. But Wave has always been succesful because of me and now it crumbles right alongside of my personal life. And as much respect as I have for Erica, every time I look at her, I am reminded that once again, I wasn't enough.
Adam: You are always enough, honey. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise. Ever.
(Hayley wipes the tears from her eyes.)
Hayley: Thank you, Daddy. I knew you could make me feel better.
(The two hug, before Hayley pulls away.)
Hayley: I just can't believe that the only positive thing to come from this move has been Skye, of all people.
Adam: Skye? What's your sister got to do with this?
Hayley: I ran into her the other day. Apparently she's living in Heaven's Meadow, too. I have to admit, I wasn't happy to see her at first, but she was very kind. She saw that I was in pain, and she actually tried to help. I know we don't have a great past, and I know she's conned a lot of people. So, I'm going into it slowly. But I think I may finally be forming a relationship with her.
(Tears well up in Adam's eyes.)
    Adam: That's wonderful.
Hayley: Well, I'd better get going. I had the helicopter fly me in, but I have to get back for a meeting. Thank you so much for your help, Daddy.
Adam: Any time, Hayley. Any time at all.
(The two hug, and say goodbye. Hayley begins to exit the room, but Adam begins speaking again. Hayley turns and looks at her father.)
    Adam: Hayley?
    Hayley: Yeah, Dad?
Adam: Tell Skye I love her.
(Hayley smiles at her father, before turning and exiting the mansion.)

    HEAVEN'S MEADOW, NEW HAMPSHIRE:

    Erica:
    Lucas:

    (At the WAVE studios.)

Erica: I'm glad we were able to work something out, Lucas. I'm very excited to join the show.

Lucas: And we're very excited to have you, Ms. Kane.

Erica: Tell me, Lucas. Why me? Of all the women in the world, why Erica Kane?

Lucas: Because you're the best. You're Erica Kane for God's sake.

Erica: I've only been telling everyone that for 40 years, now. But why does "Erica Kane" mean anything to you?

Lucas: How many talk shows can boast that one co-host used to be married to the other's father?

(Erica points her finger at Lucas.)

Erica: This show will not be trash television. I will not argue with Hayley for ratings, and I certainly will not embarrass Adam Chandler on national television. If that's what you're looking for, hire one of his other ex-wives. I hear Brooke English is looking for work.

Lucas: Trust me, Erica That isn't we want. We just think that you and Hayley will have a wonderful dynamic, that no one else can create.

Erica: I hope what you're saying is true, Mr. Erickson. Because at the first sign of anything inappropriate, I walk. Just like that. Contracts be damned. Like you said, I'm Erica Kane. And don't you forget it.

    (Erica exits the room.)

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________

    Skye:
    Clint:

    (In Skye's hotel room.)

Skye: I'm sorry, what did you say?

Clint: I'm here to offer you a job, Skye.

(Skye moves towards the other side of the room and has a seat on the couch. She points towards a chair directly across from her, and Clint sits down.)

    Skye: I don't need a job, Clint. I'm opening a club.

Clint: And you can still do that, Skye. But I want you to come work for me.

    Skye: Doing what, exactly?

Clint: I recently acquired the production company that produces the talk show "Wave".

Skye: You want me to host Wave? You are aware that Hayley Vaughan is my sister, right?

Clint: I know that, and I don't want you to host. I want you to produce it.

Skye: And you are aware that I have no experience in that field, correct?

Clint: You can learn. You are the best business woman in this town, Skye.

Skye: Yes, but your new co-host is not my biggest fan.

Clint: All the more incentive for you to join, Skye. You'll be her boss.

(Skye ponders this for a moment, before Clint starts speaking again.)

Clint: Not to mention, the current producer, Lucas Erickson, just rubs me the wrong way. That's why I want you to be Co-Executive producer. I can't get rid of him right away, he knows too much about how the show works. But you can keep an eye on him and prevent him from having too much power.

(Skye freezes at the mention of Lucas' name, making the connection that Lucas Erickson is really Peter, whom she had run into the other day.)

    Skye: I'll do it.

    (Clint seems surprised, but smiles.)

Clint: Wonderful. I'll call you soon so we can set up a meeting to sort everything out.

(They stand, and Skye shows him to the door. She closes it behind him and leans against it. Her mind begins racing. No matter how much she wants to stay away from Peter, she knows that she has to take this job, to protect Hayley.)

    and

    Robin Christopher as Skye Chandler

    ____________________________________________________________________________________________

    Erica:
    Skye:

(At the "Meadow Club" - in the hotel restaurant. Erica is sitting in a booth by the window. Skye walks through the restaurant, heading towards the elevator to her hotel room. However, before she makes it to the elevator, she spots Erica in her booth. With a smirk, she moves towards Erica's booth and begins speaking.)

Skye: Well, well, well. If it isn't Erica Kane.

(Erica glances up briefly from her menu. At first she doesn't realize who is standing in front of her. Once it sets in, she once again looks at Skye, visibly shocked.)

Erica: Skye, what are you doing in New Hampshire? Surely you haven't latched onto yet another wealthy family, dear?

Skye: Well, I could ask you the same question, but I'm sure your being here has something to do with a husband. After 40 something years, there couldn't be many men left in Pine Valley for you to marry. And after the way Jackson dumped you in front of the entire town...I'm not surprised you had to find new turf.

Erica: Well, at least I didn't have to run off and have a baby with a mobster to achieve fulfillment in my life.

Skye: At least I didn't spend over a decade pretending my child didn't exist, like some women I know.

(Anger spreads across Erica's face. Visibly angered, she stands and moves closer to Skye.)

Erica: You are just as trashy as ever, Skye. And I will have no part of it. I'm Erica Kane, not a real housewife.

Skye: Twenty years later and you still refer to yourself in the third person. Bitch, no one cares about Erica Kane. Have a seat.

Erica: That's laughable coming from a woman who can't secure a family let alone a career.

Skye: Well, if you call caring solely about yourself and referring to yourself by your full name a career, then you are quite the career woman.

Erica: You don't have to respect my career, Skye. But the producers of WAVE certainly did.

Skye: What the hell does Hayley's talk show have to do with your "career"?

Erica: I've been brought on board as a co-host. I guess that means you're the one without a career. Hmmm, I heard the McDonald's down the street is hiring. Play your cards right, and I might even write you a recommendation. A recommendation from a star like Erica Kane will go a long way, honey.

(Erica begins to walk away, but Skye reaches out and grabs her wrist, swiveling her around.)

Erica: Let go of me, you heathen!

(Skye leans in close to Erica's face and begins speaking.)

Skye: You leave Hayley alone, Erica. She is going through enough right now, and the last thing she needs is your brand of selfishness to make things more difficult.

(Erica pulls out of Skye's grasp.)

Erica: If anyone is going to make things more difficult for Hayley, it's you, Skye. Hayley actually likes me, but she's never thought much of you. There's no reason that will change now. Do us all a favor and crawl right back out of town.

(Erica grabs her clutch off of the table and struts out of the restaurant. Skye walks towards the lobby and presses the button on the elevator. In her mind, she ponders what Erica said. Will her presence really have a negative impact on Hayley? She begins to recall her relationships with both women. By the time she makes it to her hotel room, she has resolved to continue making an effort with Hayley, and wonders why she was ever friends with Erica Kane.)

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________

    Blair:
    Jacqueline:

(Inside Jacqueline's office. She is sitting behind her desk when Blair Cramer enters.)

Jacqueline: Do you have any idea how many times I've called you in the past few days?

Blair: I'm sorry, I had to go back to Pennsylvania to tie some things up. What's up?

Jacqueline: You didn't get the property, Blair.

Blair: What? No! But we offered above asking price!

Jacqueline: Yes, but Ms. Chandler offered more, and in a more timely manner. There was nothing I could do.

Blair: What the hell am I supposed to do now?

Jacqueline: You let me help find you another property, that's what.

Blair: It's not even about the property Jacqueline. It's about that woman.

Jacqueline: What the hell kind of hold does she have over you? It isn't a competition, Blair.

Blair: Of course it is, Jacqueline! Now that she knows I'm going to open a club here, she's going to do everything in her power to one-up me. And Skye isn't the type to play fair.

Jacqueline: Then it's time for you to play dirty.

Blair: Skye is...sneaky, to say the least. I'm sure she already has a slew of resources here. I don't.

    (Jacqueline smiles)

    Jacqueline: I do.

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________

    Clint:

(Skye is inside of her hotel room. There is a knock on the door. When she opens the door, Clint Buchanan is in the hallway.)

    Clint: Hello Skye.

(Skye moves aside and lets Clint in the room.)

Skye: Clint, if your here to lecture me about my conversation with Viki, I'm simply not in the mood.

Clint: Viki is a grown woman. She is perfectly capable of handling herself. Your confrontation has nothing to do with this visit.

Skye: Then what could you possibly want from me?

Clint: I'm here to offer you a job.

"Are You There, Hayley? It's me, Skye"

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________

    Hayley:
    Skye:

    (At The Meadow Club)

    Hayley: Oh, wow. Skye. Hello.

Skye: Hello Hayley. I was hoping we'd be running into each other soon.

(Skye sits down next to Hayley at the bar.)

Hayley: I didn't know you were living in New Hampshire, now. Last I heard you were in New York.

Skye: I left New York a few years back, but I haven't been in New Hampshire for long.I read a while back that your show was moving to the East Coast, but I just recently found out you were here in Heaven's Meadow.

Hayley: Yeah, budget cuts are a bitch. What brought you here?

Skye: A fresh start, I suppose.

(Skye pauses for a long second, and the sisters sit in silence, pondering their lives. After a moment, Skye speaks.)

    Skye: It's sad, really.
    Hayley: What is?
Skye: We're sisters, Hayley. And yet we hardly know one another. My relationship with Daddy has always been complicated, but I wish I hadn't allowed it to cloud my view of you. I wish I had tried harder to be your sister. Maybe we could both make that effort now.
Hayley: I didn't know you considered yourself a Chandler anymore, Skye.
Skye: I'll always be a Chandler, no matter what a DNA test says. And that makes us sisters.
Hayley: You know, it breaks Daddy's heart.
    Skye: What does?
Hayley: That you don't call, or visit him anymore. He loves you very much, Skye.
(Skye is taken aback by Hayley's comment. She is silent for a moment. Tears fill her eyes as she privately reflects on her complicated relationship with Adam Chandler, the man she still considers her father.)
Skye: Maybe I was wrong, to stay away. You know, I;ve always loved Daddy very much, but it wasn't easy for me. I know he loves me, I always knew that. But it was different for me. It was different for me, Hayley. You and Daddy, you have such a special relationship, and I'm jealous. I always have been. And when I found out that he wasn't my biological father, I told myself that that was why he treated me differently. I convinced myself that he loved me less because I wasn't his.
(By this point, tears are streaming down Skye's face. Hayley ponders this for a moment, and truly feels a connection to her sister for the first time. She reaches out her hand and places it on top of Skye's.)
Hayley: I'm sorry you've felt this way, Skye. And I'm sorry that I haven't been very nice to you over the years. But if it's not too late, I could really use a sister now.
(Skye smiles and wipes the tears from her eyes.)
Skye: I'd like that very much.
(Skye stands from her seat and removes her purse from the bar-top. She begins to say goodbye, but pauses. She removes a piece of paper and pen from her purse and writes down her phone number. She hands the paper to Hayley.)
Skye: Maybe we could do lunch or something later this week.
    Hayley: That would be great.
(Skye turns to leave, but once more turns around to speak to Hayley.)
Skye: I'm sorry that you've been having a hard time, Hayley. I recognize the look in your eyes. I've been in that place, many times. You call me if you need anything.
(With a smile, Skye turns and exits the restaurant. Hayley instantly realizes that Skye recognized her lust for alcohol. She reflects silently on her history with Skye. She is genuinely happy that they may be on the brink of a good relationship , but for a brief moment she resents her sister for being stronger than she is. She collects her purse from the counter, and exits the restaurant, knowing she will stop for a drink on the way home.)

    ________________________________________________________________________________________________________

    Lindsay:
    Anjelica:

(At Patty's - A popular bar in Heaven's Meadow. Lindsay sits at a booth on the far side of the restaurant, sipping a drink and pondering her new life and budding relationship with Tad Martin. Anjelica King enters the bar and spots Lindsay. She walks towards Lindsay's booth and begins speaking.)

Anjelica: Well I'll be damned. If it isn't Lindsay Rappaport.

(Lindsay is shocked to see Anjelica.)

Lindsay: Well I'm certainly surprised to see you here, Anjelica. I thought for sure you'd have disappeared to the other side of the continent by now.

Anjelica: I did, briefly. But I realized that you can't run from your problems, or your reputation. Eventually it would catch up with me, so in the meantime I might as well be in the place that I love, the place where I grew up.

Lindsay: I didn't know you were from New Hampshire. If I had known you were here, I might have reconsidered moving here.

(Anjelica seems taken aback by Lindsay's comment.)

Lindsay: I didn't mean it like that, Anjie. I'm just trying to make a new start for myself, and I don't want my past to prevent me from doing so.

(Anjelica sits down at Lindsay's booth.)

Anjelica: Well, I certainly understand that. It's the same reason that I returned here.

    (Lindsay chuckles.)

Lindsay: I'd hardly call moving back to your hometown a fresh start, Anjie.

Anjelica: It's different for me, Linds. I know the people here, and despite my past, they accept me. But, they aren't always as receptive to newcomers with...past indiscretions.

Lindsay: You mean like someone fresh out of prison?

    Anjelica: Yes.

Lindsay: Well, I'm not too concerned. If they accept you, they'll come to accept me, in time. After all, it wasn't all that long ago that we shared a cell.

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________

    Viki:
    Clint:

    (Inside Viki and Clint's penthouse.)

Viki: Well, it's certainly a change. But it already feels like home.

Clint: I'm home any time that I'm with you.

(The two share a kiss, before having a seat on the couch.)

Viki: So tell me, darling, how are your new business ventures going?

Clint: Very well. I met Hayley Vaughan for the first time earlier. She's a lovely young woman. Erica Kane arrives tomorrow, as well. It will be a lot of work to get the show back on track, but I look forward to it.

    Viki: That's wonderful, Clint.

Clint: Enough about me. How are things at The Banner?

Viki: Terrific. Challenging. But terrific. It's a totally different arena, running a magazine. But I'm very much enjoying it. There's one thing that's been worrying me, though.

    Clint: What's that?

Viki: One of my employees, Anjelica. I have this nagging suspicion that she's hiding something.

    and

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________

    Skye:
    Lucas:

(At Georgio's - A popular Italian Restaurant in Heaven's Meadow)

Lucas: What are you doing here, Skye?

Skye: I think the better question is, what are you doing outside of a jail cell, Peter?

Lucas: I'm not Peter anymore, Skye. I am Lucas Erickson now.

Skye: You can change your name as many times as you want, Peter. I know exactly who you are.

Lucas: What do you want from me, Skye?

Skye: I want nothing from you, and nothing to do with you. I wouldn't take water from you if I was on fire. You are scum.

Lucas: That's ironic, coming from the woman who set fire to the home of an AIDs victim, while she was inside with her son.

Skye: Don't you dare throw my past in my face, Peter. I have done some horrible things in my life, but none of them compare to what you did.

    (Sarcastically)

Lucas: Oh yes, saintly Skye. She does evil things, but she dos them with love so it's all okay. Give it a rest, Skye. You are no saint.

(A cunning smile spreads across Skye's face)

Skye: Tell me, "Lucas". Did you ever come into that money you so desperately wanted? Or did those funds dry up during your time in the big house?

Lucas: You know, what? I'm done here. Goodbye, Skye.

Skye: This isn't over, Peter. I won't let you do here, what you did in Minnesota.

Lucas: I'm not scared of you.

    Skye: You should be.

(Skye walks away from the table and exits the restaurant.)

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________

    Hayley:
    Clint:

(At "The Meadow Club" - A high-scale hotel/club in Heaven's Meadow. Hayley sits at the bar trying desperately to fight the urge to take a drink. She stares at the bottles of booze on the shelf behind the bar, longing for a drink. Lost so deeply in her want for alcohol, she doesn't notice as Clint Buchanan taps on her shoulder.)

    Clint: Ms. Vaughan?

    (Startled, Hayley turns around)

Hayley: Yes? How can I help you?

Clint: My name is Clint Buchanan, I--

Hayley: If you're from the press, I'd be happy to set up and interview, but now just isn't a good time.

(Clint chuckles and takes a seat next to Hayley)

Clint: No, I'm not from the press. I'm the owner of a corporation called Buchanan Enterprises, and I've just purchased the production company that produces your show.

Hayley: I wasn't aware that it was for sale.

Clint: Well, it wasn't, per se. But everything's for sale, for the right price.

Hayley: If you don't mind my asking, why would you want to buy a company most known for producing a syndicated talk show on it's last leg?

Clint: Wave is hardly on it's last leg, in my opinion.

Hayley: Well, then you must have heard that Erica Kane is coming aboard.

Clint: Yes, I've heard. But that's not why I have hope for Wave. I'm sure that she'll be a wonderful addition to the show, but you are Wave, and I want you to know that I understand and respect that.

Hayley: Well, I appreciate you saying that Mr. Buchanan. I look forward to working with you.

Clint: You as well. Well, I'm sorry to bother you so late in the day. We'll discuss this more tomorrow. See you at work.

(With a smile, Clint stands up and exits the restaurant. Hayley sighs. Despite his kind words, Hayley was not reassured. She still doubts herself and fears her life is crumbling around her. After a long moment, she orders a martini.)

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________

    Erica:
    Opal:

    PINE VALLEY, PENNSYLVANIA:

    (At the airport.)

Opal: I just can't believe you're leaving Pine Valley.

Erica: Is it really that hard to believe? I always said I would some day.

Opal: Yes, but honey you've been saying that for so long that we all kind of stopped listening.

Erica: Well, when Erica Kane sets her mind to something, it happens. No matter if it takes 40 years.

Opal: And I am happy for you, honey. We all are. But I'm gonna miss you. What will I do without you?

Erica: And I'll miss you too, Opal. Of course I will. But it's your job to oversee Pine Valley, now. These people have never known a Pine Valley without Erica Kane! I certainly wouldn't want the town to become stale, and if anyone can keep something crazy, it's you.

    (Opal laughs.)

Opal:Well fine! But do I have to refer to myself in the third person now?

(They both laugh, privately reflecting on their many years of friendship.)

Erica: Promise me that you'll look after Bianca, and my grandchildren?

    Opal: I would be honored.

(Tears well in both women's eyes. They embrace for a long moment, before pulling away and wiping the tears from their eyes. The loudspeaker announces that Erica's plane is boarding. Erica walks towards the gate. She turns and waves good bye to her friend, before walking through the gate, tears in her eyes.)

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________

    HEAVEN'S MEADOW, NEW HAMPSHIRE:

(At "The Meadow Club". Hayley still sits at the bar. She is now on her second drink. Part of her regrets the drinks, but an overwhelming part of her craves more. As she begins to get up, she turns and sees her sister Skye entering the restaurant. She quickly turns around and asks the bartender to take her glass away. She sits silently at the bar, hoping Skye won't see her. She's out of luck however, as Skye immediately spots her and walks towards her. With a smirk on her face, she begins speaking.)

    Skye: Well hey, sis.

    Viki:
    Skye:

    Lucas:

(Inside Georgio's - A popular Italian Restaurant in Heaven's Meadow. Skye is sitting alone at a table, dining, when Viki walks in and spots her. She walks over to Skye and begins speaking.)

Viki: Do my eyes deceive me, or am I looking at Skye Chandler?

(Skye's surprise at seeing Viki shows on her face)

    Skye: Well, hello Viki.

Viki: What brings you to New Hampshire, Skye?

Skye: It's nice to see you, too, Viki.

(Viki sits down at the table with Skye.)

Viki: Is there something going on in Heaven's Meadow that I may need to know about? Something dramatic?

Skye: You know, everybody in Llanview seems to share the same problem. What has it been, Viki, ten years? And yet, as soon as you see me, the first words to come out of your mouth are these veiled comments that imply that I'm up to something

Viki: Is that really such an unreasonable assumption, Skye? The last time we interacted certainly gave me reason enough to be cautious. Yoou infiltrated my business, befriended me and then revealed that you were married to a man I believed to be my husband.

Skye: More ancient history lessons, courtesy of Llanview's finest. But on the subject of husbands, Viki, I hear your current one is a murderer.

Viki: Clint was cleared of all charges.

    (Skye chuckles)

Skye: And with a stellar judiciary system like the Llanview PD, I'm sure that means he's innocent.

Viki: I didn't approach you looking for a fight, Skye. That wasn't my intention at all. But all arguments aside, we can agree on one thing. Llanview seems to be quite a magnet for drama. I'm hoping that Heaven's Meadow will prove to be different. In fact, that's one of the largest reasons that I decided to move here: to get away from it all.

Skye: And whether you believe it or not, I'm looking for the same thing.

Viki: Well then, I hope you find what you're looking for. And on that note, I'll leave you to your meal.

(Viki gets up and leaves the table. Skye's cell phone rings. She picks it up and begins speaking to her real-estate agent.)

Skye: I hope you're calling with good news?

(She pauses, waiting for a reply. As she listens, she gets up and begins walking towards the exit)

Skye: Wonderful! I'll be over soon to sign the paperwork. I'm ready to get my club up and ru--

(She stops mid-word when she sees Lucas Erickson sitting at a booth near the exit)

Skye: I'm going to have to call you back.

(She hangs up the phone and moves towards Lucas' booth)

    Skye: Hello, Peter.

    Brandon:
    Jacqueline:

(Inside Brandon Mayweather's apartment. He is sitting on his couch when there is a knock on the door. He gets up to answer the door. When he opens it, Jacqueline is standing in the hallway.)

    Brandon: Hi, baby.

(The two kiss. Jacqueline enters the apartment and sits on the couch.)

Jacqueline: Hey angel. I hope you don't mind me just dropping by.

Brandon: Of course I don't. You are always welcome here.

(She reaches out and touches his cheek.)

Jacqueline: You are so sweet, Brandon. I'm very lucky to have you.

Brandon: I'm the lucky one. How was your day?

Jacqueline: Fine, I suppose. I got a call a few moments ago, telling me a space that one of my clients was ready to put an offer on has been purchased. I knew there was a prospective buyer, but I had no idea it would move this quickly.

Brandon: I'm sorry, I know it's never easy to lose a sale.

Jacqueline: Oh, I'm not even worried about the sale. It's my client I'm worried about. She really had her heart set on that space. I haven't told her yet.

Brandon: I'm sure she'll understand. And with a kick-ass real estate agent like you, she'll find another property in no time.

Jacqueline: I hope so. How was your day?

Brandon: Stressful. Ever since the new owner came aboard, I've been feeling a bit anxious.

Jacqueline: It's always hard adapting to a new boss. I take it she's not easy to get along with?

Brandon: Oh no, Viki's great. It's Anjelica who's got me nervous.

Jacqueline: I always thought you liked Anjelica?

Brandon: Oh, I do. But we all know she doesn't have the cleanest past, and ever since Viki came to town, she's been acting different. I'm worried she's up to something.

    Hayley:
    Brianna:

(Inside the WAVE studio. Hayley is in her dressing room, just before she is set to film an episode of the series. She walks towards the far side of the room and opens a cabinet placed against the wall. She pulls a bottle of vodka and a glass out of the cabinet. Moving to the refrigerator next to the cabinet, she removes a lemon slice. She pours the vodka into the glass and squeezes the lemon into it. She raises the glass to her lips, just as the door swings open. Brianna, Hayley's assistant, has entered.)

Brianna: Hayley, sorry to bother you, bu--

(She is unable to finish her sentence, as Hayley drops the glass after being startled by Brianna's entrance.)

Hayley: I'm sorry, you startled me, that's all. I was just deep in thought.

Brianna: I'm so sorry Hayley, let me help you clean that up.

(She begins to move towards Hayley, but Hayley objects.)

Hayley: No! No, it's fine. I've got it. Just tell me whatever it is you needed.

(Brianna is startled by Hayley's reaction. After a moment, she spots the vodka bottle on the counter-top, as Hayley hadn't had a chance to put it away.)

Brianna: Hayley, are you drinking vodka?

Hayley: Yes? Is there a problem with that?

Brianna:No, it's just that it's only 9 AM...Normally I never see you drink, but this is the second time this week you've been having a drink on set.

Hayley: You are my assistant, Brianna, not my therapist. I appreciate your concern, but there's no need for it. I'ts just been a stressful week. This is my final week as the sole-host of WAVE, and I'm under a lot of stress.

Brianna: So Erica Kane is definitely coming, then?

Hayley: Yes, she arrives tomorrow. And I'm excited for her to be here, I really am...But sometimes, when things change, I get nervous. So I was just trying to calm my nerves, is all. Now what can I do for you?

Brianna: I just wanted to give you these note-cards, is all. There's been a couple changes to today's shows.

(Hayley takes the cards from Brianna.)

    Hayley: Thank you.

(Brianna smiles and exits the room. Once the door is closed behind her, she walks to the end of the hall. Making sure no one is around, she takes out her cell phone. She dials the phone and holds it to her ear.)

Brianna: Everything is right on track. Erica arrives tomorrow. You'll have her in your hands in no time.

Don't forget to check back tomorrow,

For an ALL NEW episode of

    Heaven's Meadow!

  15. Mr. Vixen
    Heaven's Meadow:

    Season 1 - Episode Two

"Blasts from the Past & Looks Into the Future"

    This episode features:

    Susan Lucci as Erica Kane

    Kelly Ripa as Hayley Vaughan

    Rick Herbst as Lucas Erickson

    Angell Conwell as Jacqueline

    Kassie DePaiva as Blair Cramer

    Robin Christopher as Skye Chandler-Quartermaine

Michael E. Knight as Tad Martin

    and

    Catherine Hickland as Lindsay Rappaport

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________

    Lindsay:
    Jacqueline

    (Inside the abandoned art studio)

Lindsay: Thank you for meeting with me so late, Jacqueline. I would have given you more notice, but I wasn't sure if I would make it to Heaven's Meadow tonight.

Jacqueline: I'm rather surprised you made it at all.

(Lindsay moves to the other side of the room, examining the abandoned studio)

    Lindsay: Why's that?

Jacqueline: Well the first time we spoke, your story seemed a little bit shaky. I wasn't so sure you'd be out of prison for long.

Lindsay: I saved two lives, Jacqueline. And luckily for me, the court system decided that that was reason enough to release me permanently, despite the fact that I also took a mans life several years ago. I'm a free woman now, and soon to be a New Hampshire art gallery owner

Jacqueline: And you're sure this is where you want to open your gallery? This location?

Lindsay: I'm positive. It's exactly what I'm looking for.

Jacqueline: You do know the legend of this building, don't you?

Lindsay: I've read some of the articles online. What's the real story, though?

Jacqueline: This was the studio of an artist named Edward van Ark. He was regaled within the community for his artwork, and was on the brink of extraordinary fame. But about 25 years ago, his fiance was murdered. In this building. They never solved the murder, and he gave up art for good. He refused to sell any of his pieces, and became a total recluse. He's deceased now, and his family has been trying to sell the building for years, but no one has wanted to buy it. All of the locals believe it to be cursed.

Lindsay: That's a very sad story, indeed...but it doesn't change my mind. I want to buy this building. In a way, it reminds me of myself.

Jacqueline: I'm not making the connection.

Lindsay: I've done a lot of not so great things in my life, and unfortunately that's what most of the people in Llanview remember me for. But I'm not that person anymore, and I want to start over. I just don't feel that the people there will be very receptive to that, because of my past. Just as the people of this town won't embrace this building, because of it's past. It's a perfect fit.

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________

    Erica:
    Lucas:

    Hayley:

    (Inside of the WAVE studio)

Erica: Mr. Erickson, I have to admit, I am a little bit confused as to why you asked me to meet you at the Wave studio.

Lucas: I asked you to meet me here, because this is the show I want you to host, Erica.

Erica: Oh, no. No, no, no. I can't replace Hayley! I couldn't do that! I don't know if you know this, but I was once married to her father! I simply couldn't do that!

Lucas: I'm aware of all that, and that's why I wanted you for this job. You aren't replacing Hayley.

    Erica: Then I'm afraid I don't understand.

    (Hayley enters the room)

    Hayley: You're my new co-host. _____________________________________________________________________________________________

    Tad:

    (At Patty's - A popular bar in Heaven's Meadow)

Lindsay: Bartender, I'll have a vodka tonic. Heavy on the vodka, light on the tonic.

    (Tad Martin approaches)

Tad: A woman after my heart. I'm Tad.

Lindsay: I'm just going to save you some time. I'm not going to go home with you.

Tad: Do I look like that type of guy?

Lindsay: At first glance, you look like you may be type who has a wife and maybe a couple kids at home, and you're looking for a fun night away from the family. The way you came right up to me, and that corny little smile of yours, really gave you away.

Tad:Well, I do have children, but they're grown. And no wife. Actually, I just got out of a relationship. Her choice. We were the loves of each others lives in many ways, but after her son's mental break, she just couldn't think about herself or any relationship. Her son is her first priority, as he should be. It broke my heart, but I understood. So now here I am, traveling the country. Trying to reinvent myself, I guess. Anyway, I don't know why I'm boring you with this. I'll leave you to enjoy your evening.

    (Lindsay smiles)

Lindsay: No, stay. Let's have a drink.

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________

    (Back at the WAVE studios)

Erica: Hayley, it's very nice to see you. You look wonderful, darling.

Hayley: So do you, as always. I'm so sorry about Kendall. I hope you know I would have been there, if I hadn't been on location in Italy. I do hope you got the flowers I sent.

Erica: I did, and they were very lovely.

Hayley: Well it was the least that I could do. Anyway, on a brighter note...I'm very excited for you to become part of the WAVE family!

Erica: I'm afraid there's been some misunderstanding, Hayley. I didn't know that I was coming here to be a part of Wave. I was given the impression that I was being courted to launch a new show.

Hayley: I know that. And for the record, it was not my idea.

Lucas: I admit, I wasn't completely honest with you over the phone. But that's only because I feared you wouldn't be as receptive if we didn't meet face to face. We are dying to have you, Erica.

Erica: You can call me Ms. Kane.

Hayley: Erica, I'm very sorry for the way that this whole thing was handled. I knew that it wasn't a good idea, and I should have put a stop to it. But I promise you Lucas had the best of intentions. We'd really love to have you, Erica.

Lucas: I do apologize, Ms. Kane. I hope you'll still join us.

Hayley: What do you say Erica? The show really needs you. It pains me to say it, but the ratings have been in a slump these past few months. And if anybody can liven up a party, it's Erica Kane!

Erica: All right, I'll do it. Have the contracts sent to me lawyers office, and we'll see if we can't work something out

(Erica begins to exit, but turns around before she is out of the room, and speaks once more)

Ericka: And no funny business, Mr. Erickson. I really don't want to have to fight with you. I simply don't have the right shoes for it.

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________

    Blair:
    Skye:

(Inside of Blair's hotel room. Blair is on the phone.)

Blair: Jacqueline, please call me back as soon as you get this. I'm ready to put in an offer on the space. I will not let that awful woman get a hold of it. It's mine.

(Skye enters the room, wearing a knee-length red dress and bright red heels)

    Skye: Actually, honey, it's mine.

Blair: Like hell it is, Skye. Look, I didn't want to talk to you yesterday, and I sure as hell don't want to today.

Skye: I don't know why you're so bitter, Blair.

Blair: Because you are a lying, conniving bitch, and I simply do not have the time.

Skye: Oh dear, I see time has been very cruel to you. You look positively miserable. Though I will say, your hair looks much better this length. Short hair just never suited you. It often just looked like someone had taken scissors to it against your will!

(Skye pauses, laughing, as Blair becomes visibly angry)

Skye: And your personality certainly hasn't improved. Stuck in the past, it seems. You know, the more I think about it...if anyone here should be getting an attitude, it's me. If I recall correctly, you were the one who shot Max Holden and framed me for it.

Blair: Who's dredging up the past, now? You know Skye, I'm surprised to see you here. I thought you lived in Port Charles, now. Or did you get banished from yet another town?

Skye: I left Port Charles very peacefully, and on my own terms. Speaking of towns we used to live in, I heard you continued sleeping your way through Llanview after I left. Congratulations! I just hope you're getting tested regularly. I mean, you have children by pretty much any Llanview man with the capability now, don't you? And there are just so many scary diseases out there now. I wouldn't want you to catch one!

Blair: Those who live in glass houses shouldn't cast stones, Skye. You've slutted your way through the entire East Coast, from what I heard. And yet, in all your travels...You still don't know who your daddy is, do you? So why don't you just run back to your mob family, and leave the rest of us the hell alone? I'm done with you.

Skye: Oh but I'm far from done with you, sweetie. You don't wanna cross me, honey. Cause I'll send you running back to the farm.

    (Skye exits).

    PINE VALLEY, PENNSYLVANIA:

    Erica:
    Bianca:

    ( In Erica's Living Room)

Erica: I just don't know what to do, Bianca.

Bianca: Mom, you need to take this opportunity. You have to take this journey. It's your dream.

Erica: It was my dream, Bianca. But I just don't know anymore. Ever since Kendall's death, I just haven't been sure what I want anymore. Every time I have tried to follow my "dreams", something terrible happens. Just look at the last time. I lost Jackson to my selfishness, and Kendall lost her life.

(Erica begins crying. Bianca brings her mother a tissue and embraces her. After a moment, she pulls away)

Bianca: Kendall's death was not your fault, Mom. You can't blame yourself.

Erica: I know that. In my mind, I know that. JR was very ill when he pulled that trigger, and thankfully he is getting the help that he needs now. But in my heart....In my heart, Kendall died because of my selfishness.

Bianca: That's not true, Mom. Kendall's death was tragic, and we are all still trying to deal with that. But I've noticed the effect that being in Pine Valley has had on you since her death. This isn't where you are meant to be. Not now. You are getting another opportunity to go to Hollywood, Mom. To be a star.

(Erica stands and moves towards the fireplace, looking at a picture of Kendall)

Erica: But I AM a star, Bianca. Ever since Kendall's death, my name has been all over the headlines again. "ERICA KANE FORCED TO WATCH AS HER DAUGHTER IS MURDERED!" they say. The country has rallied behind me. I'm a superstar. But everyday, I have to deal with the fact that it's at the expense of my own daughter's life.

    (Bianca moves towards her mother)

Bianca: I can only imagine how hard that is for you, Mom. But I just think this is a sign. It's an opportunity for you to be happy, and Kendall would want that. They want you to host a talk show, and we all know you're fabulous at that. This is your opportunity to reach Hollywood & Vine, Mom. And no matter how much we'll miss you, you need to go, you need to do this for yourself. You always taught me to follow my dreams, and now it's time for you to follow yours. You're Erica Kane for God's sake!

(Erica smiles and wipes the tears from her eyes)

Erica: You're right. Kendall would want this for me. I AM Erica Kane, after all! Thank you so much, darling. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go call the production company and let them know that I'm in. Hollywood & Vine, here I come!

    HEAVEN'S MEADOW, NEW HAMPSHIRE:

    Blair:
    Jacqueline:

    (Walking into the empty restaurant)

Blair: I'm sorry call you on such short notice, Jacqueline.

Jacqueline: It's no problem girl, but frankly I was a little bit surprised to hear from you at all.

Blair: I know I said I wasn't going to be moving here after all, but I decided I couldn't pass up the opportunity.

Jacqueline: Well you can count on me, the best real estate agent Heaven's Meadow's got to offer, to make sure this venture goes as smoothly as possible. But I have to ask. What about the man you had mentioned? Is he coming, too?

Blair: Tomas? No, that relationship ended before it began, really. I just couldn't commit to another serious relationship, not with my recent track record. I needed to start over somewhere new.

    Jacqueline: And your children?

Blair: My oldest, Starr is living on her own in New York , and my son Jack is away at a boarding school. It broke my heart to send him away from me, but it's what's best for him. Only my youngest, Sam, will be making the move with me.

(Blair walks to the other side of the empty restaurant)

Blair: I can't tell you how excited I am to open my club here, Jacqueline. Thank you for finding me such a perfect location.

Jacqueline: I have to warn you, Blair, it isn't going to come cheap. The space already has another prospective buyer.

    Blair: Who?!

(They hear heels clicking behind them. They turn and see a woman standing in the doorway.)

    Mystery Woman: Me.

(Blair stands silently in shock as she comes face to face with someone from her past for the first time in years.)

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________

    Hayley:
    Lucas:

    Brianna:

(In the studio where Hayley's talk show "WAVE" is filmed)

    Hayley: Well, what's the verdict?

Lucas: She's in. Erica Kane is your new co-host. And she has no idea.

Hayley: That's great! But, I just don't understand why it has to be so secretive. Erica Kane is a very strong, independent woman. She won't like being tricked.

Lucas: Erica Kane doesn't share the spotlight, either. If I had called her and said we wanted her to co-host an already in production talk show? She would have hung up before I could even finish my sentence. But now we've got her here. She's coming to New Hampshire tomorrow to fill out the paper work, and we'll ease her into it. She'll come around.

    (Hayley laughs)

Hayley: I can hear her now: "I don't co-host talk shows! I'm ERICA KANE!"

Lucas: Exactly. But she'll come around, once we've got her in person. Especially since it's you that she'll be working with. You were her step daughter once upon a time, after all.

Hayley: I sure hope so. But for now, I'll just have to trust you...And I do. You've been so wonderful to me since Mateo disappeared. I don't know what I would do without you.

(The two embrace, as Hayley's assistant Brianna eavesdrops nearby. Brianna takes a cellphone from her pocket and dials. She holds the phone up to her ear.)

Brianna: Everything is falling into place, just as planned. Erica will be here any day now, and you'll have her right where you want her.

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________

(Outside of the empty restaurant, Jacqueline answers her cell phone)

Jacqueline: Well hello, Ms. Rappaport. I didn't think I'd be hearing from you again.

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________

    PINE VALLEY, PENNSYLVANIA:

    (Erica re-enters her living room)

Bianca: Well, how did it go? When do you leave for Hollywood?

Erica: I'm not going to Hollywood.

    (Bianca looks confused)

Erica: They've moved production, to lower costs. Erica Kane is going to New Hampshire.

    HEAVEN'S MEADOW, NEW HAMPSHIRE:

    Viki:
    Clint:

    Brandon:
    Anjelica:

(Inside the offices of "The Chat" - A national magazine)

Viki: Oh, Clint. I'm so glad you convinced me to do this. It's going to be such an adventure, turning 'The Chat' into 'The Banner'. Imagine...The Banner, a national magazine! In all the years I ran that newspaper in Llanview, I never dreamed of doing something like this.

Clint: As long as we are together, any adventure is worth it. I know how hard it was for you to leave Llanview. It was hard for me, too. But after our wedding, this just felt...right.

(Anjelica and Brandon enter the room)

Anjelica: You must be the our new owner. And what an honor it is to meet you. Allow me to introduce myself! I'm Anjelica King, your editor in chief.

Viki: It is a pleasure to finally meet you, as well. I very much look forward to working with you. And who might you be?

Brandon: I'm Brandon Mayweather, Chief Photographer here at The Chat, or should I say, The Banner? It's a pleasure to meet you.

    Viki: Likewise, my dear.

Brandon: Please, allow me to show you and your husband around.

(Brandon, Viki and Clint exit. Anjelica removes a phone from her purse and dials. She holds the phone to her ear.)

Anjelica: Well hello, Tina. I just had the pleasure of meeting your sister.
