  1. Dani hit Vanessa with a hard truth and of course Vanessa gets angry at hearing that. It is interesting that Dani and Vanessa had a conversation in the same episode that it was revealed that Joey's sister is the person responsible for Dani's son-in-law almost being shot. Whether writers are stringing together consequences to hit Vanessa will remain to be seen.
  2. My guesses are that either Leslie or Nicole get injured and Eva/Kat team up to help them. Kat can't stand Leslie, but I think she would rise above and help her if she was hurt, especially if Eva somehow broke through to her. Or Tomas or Izaiah get hurt, but that would be less compelling.
  3. Vanessa was so annoying acting as if Joey is so fragile. The guy is a criminal and is beyond capable of handling himself. I officially cannot stand Naomi. Her blaming Derek for his own death was foul. Even if she shouldn't have gone there she still shouldn't have been blaming him and bringing up him lying about being paralyzed, especially considering that Jacob would have been a goner had Derek not been there. The green screen background in the preview reminded me of when Sky and Raven would leave for a trip on EON. If your tech looks like something from 43 years ago then you should aim lower. Victor could have easily arrived in a less grand way.
  4. I think these flashbacks would have been useful last year moreso than now and it feels like the show is playing catchup. Regardless of how Dani is, Bill still totally disrespected her. Having another woman in their bedroom was low and that scene explained why Dani went so over the edge in the first weeks. But it also runs counter to months of the narrative of Dani still longing for Bill.
  5. Hypocrisy is one of many soap staples. At this point we do need something other than every Dupree getting along perfectly. The show did spend a lot of time building up a connection between Jacob and Kat so they may as well use it. The fallout would obviously put Kat at odds with Chelsea and that is another angle for drama.
  6. I thought Leslie was going to throw the rest of Darlene's cake in the trash. Once again Leslie succeeded in pushing someone's buttons and she knew just what to say to Darlene to make her feel some type of way. Bill being so accepting of Hayley declining a family event on his behalf was too passive a move for that character. When it comes to anything involving his daughters, Bill is usually more unwavering than that. Not one person seems to understand why Jacob might be deeply traumatized that his best friend was murdered.
  7. Lol. That chandelier has to fall on somebody per some soap bylaw and I would be surprised if it was Tomas.
  8. There was some, but there was still balance. After Dallas most soaps made wealth and business central to storylines and began phasing out working class characters.
  9. This is a repetitive answer, but Dallas really pushed the drama permanently towards wealth. There are ways to incorporate realism into stories without removing the element of escapism. A really wholesome character turning to adult content creation out of desperation over losing job and being on the brink of losing their home would be a good mixture of realism and soapiness.
  10. Why would you want to tell your ex about having sex dreams about them? It's unnecessary.
  11. Oh, Lord Jesus, it's tornado!
  12. I am not holding my breath, but hopefully the renewed talk about Doug and Joey trying to connect with the Impaler means that the truth about Joey will be revealed soon.
  13. That firefighter portrait of Derek didn't look right. It's like production ran Ben Gavin's photo through AI to make a firefighter photo and it got his face wrong. Bill and Dani's scenes were misplaced for this episode. That was an obvious breakdown writing issue. Vanessa continues to be annoying. Derek's memorial was the last place where she should have been fishing for information to see if her precious Joey was involved with the plasma ring and it was doubly inappropriate for her to bother Jacob with that nonsense when he is upset over losing his best friend.
