  1. Darn this show and their lack of creativity with character names. I rarely think of Johnny's parents or their names. Yes, they ran Company before Hawk and Sarah. I don't even think they were in town that long, the viewer reception and regime changes working against them.
  2. Can't we confine sex talks to friends, and not family members? I don't need to hear Anita advising Nicole on her sex life again. Ditto Martin with Ted. And honest---I also don't need a lot of reminding that Anita and Vernon sweat up the sheets either. A little goes a long, long way.
  3. I don't think anyone dismisses needing a mix of occupations on shows. After Hillary's death, the only full time nurse I can think of was Lillian and (briefly) Annie. Five cops towards the end (Frank, Gus, Harley, Marina, Mallet) seemed a little like overkill. Even if they were trying to optimize set usage due to budget.
  4. Bea also does it a bit with the Kurt/Mindy/Rick/Roxie quad. I find it a little odd that there wasn't at least one cop as a main character, although my guess would be Mike being a lawyer filled that law-and-order slot. Making all the Coopers cops was overkill. And considering Frank and Harley's parents were Buzz and Nadine, unintentionally hilarious.
  5. If we get to keep a Reardon, I'd prefer we kept Bea. My opinion of Beecroft and Tony has eroded a bit over the years. Tony owned a bar. I don't know how much more stereotypically Irish the show needed to be. They didn't have main characters as cops on the show yet.
  6. I think they played it as a nervous breakdown. She ran for mayor while she was sleeping with Jeffrey, who was also running (I think). Blake was exposing people's secrets on some web gossip site at the same time. I forget how she landed in the coma--she may have caused an accident and gotten caught by it herself. They then shipped the kids off to be raised by Holly offscreen.
  7. I didn't know that either! Thanks! Obviously she got the role she was meant for!
  8. Immediately starts wondering what roles Colleen would've been right for in that time frame....
  9. Well, Amanda didn't pay him for his MENSA abilities. It does amaze me when actors sell stories they don't like, or like stories we as the audience don't. I can imagine that trying to sell a new relationship (that's not well-motivated and likely to piss off your fan base) would be a little extra draining when you're pregnant.
  10. Blake mostly cared about action between the sheets. As long as that was decent, she could've overlooked the rest.
  11. LOL...the hope of **** and Blake having an affair, allowing Ross and Vanessa to reunite LIVES!!! At some point Liz went recurring. (I think it was after Jerry left). I swear Blake was in a coma twice, and once was about a year.
  12. I think either one of the writers was a Manning fan, or they were trying to be more "hip" with kids names. There was some drawn out explanation about Beth wanting her daughter to be strong (blah blah...coming from a woman having a child with her former father-in-law, it made my eyes roll so hard they hurt..) and having watched some late night sports documentary. Maybe for Clarissa, it was just too hard to come up with a directly adjacent name to Holly. God knows if the show was still on, some poor Bauer granddaughter would wind up with Edwina.
  13. I take my fangurling seriously. :) I hope she's still doing well.
  14. I believe Zach came from a novel Phillip wrote. snort I could've been alright with one fatal casualty...****.
  15. Then I guess the question is, who in wardrobe thinks she looks good in those outfits. I can't be the only one who thinks they're unflattering.
