The scenes are ridiculous in many respects, but I'd rather see EB over a bunch of newbies any day. I get how some people long for the days of Porntney and Austin, but if there's one thing that Pratt's team has done well - keeping familiar faces on the screen, plus the three stellar recasts of popular characters. It's far from perfect and they still have major issues with long-term storytelling, but there are plenty of individual episodes and scenes to make it worth watching. It's really saying something when Sage, Noah, Kevin and Natalie are by far the weakest characters and actors. Trying watching DAYS and the contrast couldn't be more apparent.

Good question, but didn't he buy it?  That's what Phyl said a couple weeks ago.  Are they now saying that Jill gave it to him?

These writers really don't give a [!@#$%^&*] about dotting their Is, do they?

Billy could have lived anywhere, the Chancellor place makes no sense, but this is one of the perks for being a FOJ.

Yeah, it would have had made more sense for Jill let Devon and Hilary be caretakers of the mansion and have Hilary live it up big or something before letting Billy move in.

That Shawn story was a colossal waste of time. The show had picked up steam again last month with Victor finally being exposed and the initial fallout but even that is losing its way fast. The other stories lack a great deal of spark it's hard to invest in them.

OMG! Having Hillary lord over Chancellor mansion, while screwing over half of GC would have been brilliant. Well, before this remodel from hell it would have. Now, it's impossible to imagine anyone with two nickles to rub together choosing to live there.

what's so funny is that this is one of Jamey Giddons wishful storytelling, with Devon owning the mansion after changing his last name to Chancellor and having Hilary totally glam it up to her style while a furious Jill tries to put a stop to it....

but nope....they just choose to decimate this iconic set all together...

I f.ucking love this.

Pretty much.  I'm seeing a pattern with abrupt story conclusions though.  Chloe running over Adam, the Tower fire and Ian's latest appearance, Dr. Anderson's death.  There are a couple others, but in each of these stories, we were all left wondering "Is that it?!?!"
