I had the pleasure of working with her on All My Children and I remember the first time she came into the studio when I had recently joined the show, in true Anne Meara fashion, she walked into the hair and make-up room, looked at me, and without missing a beat said "who the hell are you supposed to be," I burst into laughter. Anne was great in anything I saw her in, but I always respected the warmth and humor she brought to AMC. It could have been just a job to her but she never made it seem that way. Another favorite role of mine that she played was the English teacher, Mrs. Sherwood, in 1980's Fame. All love and condolences to the Stiller family.
