Is that sleaze Stamos going to be involved after crapping on the idea for years?

We know the Olsen twins won't, obviously.

This is one of those shows I liked for a while but never saw the point of reviving. Repetitive catchphrases don't age well.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: If Mary-Kate and Ashley are not willing to do the show, I say good for them. It's not a matter of being ungrateful, it's a matter of fact that they have been in the public eye since they were nine months old; Full House was their first audition. Yes, they're financially set for life, which is great, but they literally have no memories of not being famous. Their publicity has died down in the last few years, and they're probably living as private a life (well, lives) as they can given the circumstances (they're not on social media, for example), but they'll still be famous forever. They've MORE than earned their privacy.

That's not a criticism of you, Carl, that's just something that might go over the heads of some who think they would be ungrateful if they turn it down. I would love it if they made a guest appearance or something like that, but I understand if they sit this out.

I knew you probably weren't, but when I see others who criticize them for being ungrateful, I just think, "They gave up their childhoods for a sitcom, and then for 18 billion direct-to-video movies afterwards. The least you can give them in return is their privacy as adults."

Jodie Sweetin had her own issues, but I don't think, even with her drug/alcohol usage (which, according to her autobiography, was a genetic pre-disposition by her biological parents--she's adopted), that that would stop her from coming back for a reunion. She's always embraced it.

Honestly, in the case of the Full House child stars, they seemed blessed with a cast and crew who actually cared about their well-being. I think most of their issues afterwards were in spite of Full House, not because of it (the Olsens might be a partial exception, but even then). Hell, even Candace Cameron Bure, after losing weight in a healthy way between seasons 7 and 8, briefly struggled with bulimia after she married her husband and moved away from her family for the first time (he was playing hockey in Canada at the time, so she had to move from LA, where she'd been her whole life).

Compared to other child stars, I think they turned out fine. But given how unique their careers/lives were, even for child stars (and especially because they were twins who were turned into a brand), it could have easily gone the other way.
