The Young And The Restless star, Australian Michael Muhney, has finally hit back at embarrassing rumours that he grouped his female co-star on the hit American soap.

SOME EXCERPTS FOLKS......

He said his character meant he was constantly learning lines and becoming more heavily involved then he ever intended, causing him to become upset and seek advice from the TV shows executive producer.

'I remember sitting down in the final ten months of my tenure with the executive producer and saying: “Things have to change. You guys are going to have to fire me or I’m going to have to quit.” I told them that several times.'

When TV Week Soap Extra asked if the actual reason he left the hit TV show was due to The Young And The Restless actress Hunter King reportedly being groped he added

'First of all, there is no one anywhere, of any official capacity, who ever made any of those allegations. If there were, I would be the first person to come out and say,“Hey, now, I’ve got to take you to court because what you’ve just said is lies and I have to sue you for libel and slander.”'

Rumours have swirled Hunter King allegedly gave the soap opera's producers an ultimatum involving the police before they fired Michael with the rumour he groped the starlets breasts off camera in two separate occasions.

In addition to rumours about being supposedly hands-on with his attractive co-star, it has also been claimed that the soap star was accused of harassing and bullying King and other co-stars including 72-year-old soapie veteran Eric Braeden.

Following the dismissal and claims of roaming hands, new allegations regarding the actor and his off-screen attitude soon came to light, as it was claimed that Muhney was also fired from Veronica Mars.

Playing the character of Sheriff Don Lamb, Muhney's character was killed off of the series six episodes shy of the finale allegedly due to his purported diva demeanour.

Michael firmly believes, though, that someone was out to smear his reputation with lies.

He told the magazine that a producer had said he had to be careful as he was a bright talent and he had a target on his back.

It takes a real man and a true thespian to go hide out in Australia and mumble-dance your ass around the topic of allegedly groping a young woman and being blackballed in Hollywood.

Then again, as we've seen with Robert Kelker-Kelly, there are plenty who will excuse anything if they think a dude is hot.
