Jill (and Jess Walton) definitely deserve better. Whatever happened to JFP's penchant for older woman/younger man relationships? Surely, they could write in some pretty young thing who works at Chancellor Industries and thinks sleeping with Jill is his ticket to the top.

If the writers had been smart they would have left something in Kay's will to Nina that would have made Jill furious and ignited another feud/rivalry with Nina. There is a void there with no feuds going on...Jack and Victor are just there with boring ass storylines.....Billy vs Stich is not a rivalry

Exactly. They could've went on to be the new generation of Kay v. Jill. Especially if Katherine left her portion of the estate to Nina.

And I hate that the only feuds on the canvas is still Jack v. Victor. I feel like they seriously dropped the ball with Noah v. Kyle. They should've recast Kyle again (with Robert Gorrie IMO), reigniting the Newman v. Jabot rivalry with the newer generation. Now Kyle is off the canvas living in NYC while Noah is slinging drinks behind a damn bar.

Summer, Devon, Austin, and Hillary are the only youngsters really given decent story. Sad thing is that I don't see these characters as leads in the next few years. I'd imagine that Hunter, Mishael, and Matthew will leave the show in the future to pursue Hollywood once again. Bryton might stay but he won't ever be made a lead when he should.

Abby will remain to be an airhead and remain in limbo. And Lily will continue to be hindered because Lane fanatics refuse to let their pairing be split apart.

It's like Y&R does not even care about their younger generation. Sad because viewers won't become invested in them and that makes the future of the show look real bleak.

I have tried to watch here and there and I just can't. Yesterday I had to turn the channel a few words after Victoria said Stitch was a sociopath. The writing still sucks sh - - ! Didn't Stitch explain what happened to his dad in the fire? Has he changed his story? If not, why are people still tossing "killed" and "murdered" around? Is Kelly the only person who has taken the time to try to understand what happened in the shed and all of the abuse? It is so NOT Y&R.

I saw the Emmy a few days back at Sharon's house and Chelsea's PH. And it ticked me off. Those Emmys are not for the current Y&R by a long shot. They were for Josh Griffin, as far as the writing and his contribution to what made it win best soap last year.

JFP and her Y&R killers have obviously not read any good books lately. No one who has, or who was used to Y&R prior to Latham could possibly stand this crap they are trying to sell us as dramatic writing.

Whatever happened to Fen?

Cane and Jill are fun but they really need a different story than that the whole necklace non-caper. I didn't realize how much I actually cared or would miss Cythinia Watros' Kelly until this past week.

In fact, Y&R is just one big non-show.

The biggest blunder and downfall that happened to Griffith last year and is happening to Altman and Passanate this year (who both really, really need to go) is there is absolutely no storyline hook anywhere. I'm hoping that that the tedious team will be ousted soon. I really have no opinion on Phelps who's been better than Lathan, Rauch, and MAB as EP and hasn't given anyone the Frankie Frame routine yet but I'd feel safer with Noel Maxam as EP with Trent Jones as HW at best. Of course we'll end up with Goutman as EP and Kriezman as HW knowing our Y&R fans luck....
