So...is anybody else watching?

I think it's...not awful, like I expected given the track record of Spielberg produced tv shows in the last few decades. Halle Berry is giving her best performance that she has given in a long time--but feels like she's in a different show. I am glad, due to her, this will be a limited series (and not the trick that the pretty awful Under the Dome is,) though already by episode 2 it seems a bit too familiar. (Didn't we already have a rich Japanese man who wanted to live longer in last year's The Wolverine?)

I like that: "I think it's .... not awful"

I agree. I won't say I've seen every bit of each episode so far but I have had it on and it doesn't seem super terrible. It's catching my interest so I'll try and fully watch next weeks episode.

It's doing OK in the ratings, but it's hardly holding onto Big Brother's 2.1 steady demo rating. It dropped a couple million from the premiere to this week. I don't think it could sustain more than a season but who knows?

CBS seems happy with Under the Dome even though ratings don't seem to be what they were last year. I've caught a few episodes of that one and wasn't too impressed honestly.

I believe Halle has always said she will only do one season. And I'm glad of that *glares at Under the Dome* as the concept really woul dbe silly to stretch longer. To me it kinda feels like a light version of Spielberg's AI and Minority Report combined which, again, isn't bad. Certainly better than his last show as EP--Terra Nova. Certainly better than that other recent sci fi show (which was created and had one episode directed by Alfonso Cuaron no-less, whose movies are often brilliant) Believe, which was TERRIBLE and didn't even get through all their episodes (NBC must have lost a lot on that.)

See SS, I'm not shocked at UTD.... they have a boner for that show since it did really well when it debuted and I don't see that thing going down for at least one more season... maybe two.

But Extant did good out the gate and then it got demolished week after week and I KNOW they just want to keep Berry... only plausible reason.

Not shocked. I don't even know why CBS invests in sci-fi shows anyways. They always end up cancelling them when they don't perform to their expectations. Under the Dome, Jericho, now Extant.... Network heads across the board need to allow these shows to grow an audience. That's why people turn to cable and on demand Internet companies.

TLC said it best. "Don't go chasing waterfalls. Please stick to the river and lakes that you're used to."

NO THE F**K YOU DID NOT! LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

But to be honest, retool or not I don't think this should have lived past S1. They're going to go all out for Supergirl and I think if they ever got rid of it, it'll just go to The CW.
