Members AlexElizabeth
My birthday! Do we know where the heck they're airing though? ETA: Actually read the article. No we don't know. lol
Members NothinButAttitude
I just hope that they revert to the old school emmys--anything pre-2005. Focus more on the soaps and less on the infomercials. I hope (too) that they have another class of Lifetime Achievers for soaps because there are so many older soap actors/actresses that deserve to be given an award for their contributions to daytime (i.e. Vicky Wyndham, Kathy Hays, Ann Flood, Forrest Compton, Charita Bauer, Liz Hubbard, etc). Members DramatistDreamer
I agree, even if it has to be held in a smaller venue, try and keep it elegant, even if it's intimate. And I would love if they could honor some veteran soap actors for Lifetime Achievement awards. Just because some of these shows may be off the air, doesn't mean they can't honor actors who have done decades of compelling and poignant work. I also wouldn't mind if they just streamed the darn thing. If You Tube can stream Coachella and the Olympics, surely someone can figure out how to successfully stream the Daytime Emmys! Members Soapsuds
Well that is dumb if true...why reject a show that has been hard to telecast in recent years??
Members NothinButAttitude
Those who are beggars cannot be choosers. NATAS better build a bridge, get over it, and accept this offer.
