Especially when, most of the time, the person who resurfaces actually disappeared and/or was presumed dead when Stefano wasn't even around. (I still want to know how Hope, Steve and Marlena ended up in Stefano's possession in the first place. Were Orpheus, Ernesto Toscano and Lawrence Alamain working for him? Did he win them on eBay?) If the object here is to bring back Wayne Northrop as Roman, for example, then just have Josh Taylor's Roman leave to pick up the dry cleaning on a Monday and have Wayne's come back with it on Tuesday. And just to keep Taylor and Ken Corday happy: have Chris Kositchek pop back in town the same day, make some lame Ron Carlivati-esque joke about the exchange and then make sure Chris has a great story in place so Taylor doesn't get peeved and try to take it out later on Ken at the golf course. Victor was in the lead for Steve and Fancy Face, but refused to pay an extra ten dollars for "That Quack" Marlena Evans, so Stefano won by default.
