DAYS- Carrie Brady- UGH! I've hated this smug, self-righteous bitch since the 90s! I always, ALWAYS rooted for Sami. I actually think Ali Sweeney had more chemistry with Austin Peck. The only time I semi-liked Carrie/Austin was in Pat Muldoon's first run.

Dannifer- I think that must be a given by now.

Adrienne- I've HATED Adrienne since she first appeared in the 80s. She's exactly the kind of character I hate- a whiny, spineless weakling. Even though that's obviously changed now that she's gotten older, I still can't stand the bitch.

Kate Roberts- I'm sure I'll get bitchslapped for this one, but I don't care. LK's Kate has been such a low-rent hussy ever since she arrived on the scene. I hate the sound of her voice whenever she hisses and can't stand listen to her dole out her brand of "advice." Her over-involvement in her kids' lives has driven me up a wall, especially because it's usually the kids that she didn't even raise (Billie and Austin) whose lives she's in the middle of. I've said it before (many times) and I'll say it again (it won't be the last time)- I miss the complex, interesting, classy businesswoman Kate that Deborah Adair played. The one I actually rooted for against Laura Horton, even though she was totally in the wrong. LK's Kate is like a bad caricature IMO.

ATWT- LIly Walsh- Ugh, UGH, UGH! I hated this bitch, pretty much always. In fact, the only time I did like her is when Noelle Beck took over and made her icy (I never got to watch Heather Rattray). Otherwise, she was just blech and Martha Byrne worked my last nerve.

Janet and Liberty Ciccone- Even though I thought both Julie Pinson and Meredith Hagner were very good in the roles, I just couldn't with these two annoying hos.

Kim Hughes- Ok, so I didn't really hate Kim per se, but I was Team Susan all the way.

I'll do more later, after my fingers have rested.

Lucky Spencer - When I started GH in the mid/late 90s I had heard about the wonders of Jonathan Jackson. I thought he was a tic-laden little hamboat. Beyond that, I had major issues with Lucky himself, who was an angry punk who felt entitled to do whatever he wanted, including nearly killing people, because he was so honest and real and he was Luke's son. He was verbally abusive to his mother and did not care for a minute that she had been repeatedly raped. Her being raped only made him treat her with even more contempt. The only time I liked the character was during his initial relationship with Liz, where he was more low-key and supportive. I had no real opinion of JY, and liked GV, who was treated horribly, on and offscreen. When JJ came back, that hamming had not gone away, and was now coated in rivers of tears. The character was still a woman-hating prick who still used a woman's rape to make himself feel like a man. He was completely directionless and pathetic, and his return was a wonderful example of the failure of nostalgia.

Holden Snyder - Sanctominous, self-righteous !@#$%^&*]. I grew to tolerate this character as time passed, but I LOATHED him for years, especially the few years after he got brain damage, which mostly meant he treated everyone like crap except his beloved Lily, whom he obsessed over her constantly. The only interesting thing about a brain-damaged Holden would have been if he no longer loved Lily. This was resolved in a matter of months for years of repetitive blather about Meridian and Pamela Kingsley and other talkiness that sent viewers fleeing from ATWT in droves. Just to infuriate me even more, he took his son Aaron away from Iva, who, yes, had lied and deceived in keeping him away from Holden, but mostly did so to try to protect Lily and Holden, and desperately loved Aaron and had given him a good home. Holden took the child away and then, obsessed with women and vendettas, proceeded to dump Aaron off on Emma so much that Emma finally had enough and told him to be a father already.

Mateo Santos - I spent five years wanting someone to punch this man in the face. Sneering, arm-grabbing, condescending lectures, year after year after year after year.

Rosanna Cabot - "Just Rosanna" ground ATWT to a halt from 1992-1996. Doug Marland didn't seem to realize that the fragile princess who just wants to bale hay story had been done to death with Lily, so we got another dose. Rosanna was whiny and cold, and generated absolutely zero chemistry with any man they paired her with. When Carly came along and began putting the screws to her sainted half-sister, I began to care more, but I still didn't like her. One of the few good decisions John Valente made at ATWT was writing her out in disgrace in 1996. I did like her when Cady McClain played the role, for the most part, but Just Rosanna was a just plain bad idea.

Lucy Cooper - this squeaking mouse was shoved in my face for years on end, with far more vibrant and popular characters like Gilly sidelined and yanked out of stories because of her. It took a long time to even begin to tolerate her. The best thing that ever happened to Lucy was the Brent Lawrence storyline, as the sheer power of Frank Beaty helped Sonia Satra stop simpering and start acting. She was a knockoff Harley and ultimately completely forgettable.

Mike Kasnoff - another smug, chest-puffing dullard, mired in tedious class conflict. I have never liked Shawn Christian in anything, and this role is a big reason why. When Holden wasn't blathering on about Meridian, Mike was blathering on about "Ludie-Belle" and "Rosebud." Looking back, it's amazing that 1994 ATWT did not turn me off of guys.

Buzz Cooper - shut the [!@#$%^&*] up, Buzz. Shut the [!@#$%^&*] up. Shut up, Buzz. Stop yelling at me, you bleating radish. Go away. Go away.

- me in 1993, 1994, and 1995.

Dinah Marler - I actually liked her when she was a bitch. When they tried to make her a heroine, in 1996, I stopped watching.

Todd Manning - nuff said.

Gigi and Rex Balsom - dirty, grimy street trash, abusive parents, loathsome human beings, played by two of the worst actors ever on television. Rarely have I seen two characters destroy so many people and so much promise, year after year.

Ford - A mouthbreather with a melting face and the charisma of an infected toe. A great example of why having perfect abs doesn't mean you are worth having the honor of breathing. Too stupid to live - just ask the chandelier.

Taylor Hayes - I despised everything about this woman for years, especially the pity screw in the cabin with James, and the constant all-knowing smirk. In later years I grew to tolerate her, but it's a good thing this board was not around in 1991-1995.

ATWT: Mike (SC's version)

Days: Daniel (I can't stand any character SC plays it seems, yet I've met him in person a few times and always liked him), EJ (though I don't think we were supposed to like him), Rafe, Carrie, Marlena, Frankie

The summer Holden decided all of Carly's "please stay away from me, the thought of acting on any level of attraction between us makes me want to vomit, cry and hate myself" were unimportant to his horndog need to "prove" he was really, REALLY done with Lily this time made me hate him. I couldn't have cared less if he left Lily in the dust and took every last one of her children away and threw her in a mental facility while he blew through every last cent she had. But the way he treated Carly was unforgivable.

YP was atrocious as Rosanna. I can still hear Parker Posey sing out "Just Rosanna" with a heavy dose of sarcasm, and it still makes me smile. Rosanna was a pale imitation of Lily, and that butter wouldn't melt in my mouth --- I couldn't possibly use one penny of my fortune---sell my artistic vision? never!! attitude was really grating.

And lastly, let's not limit this to SC---Mark Collier's version was even dumber.

I missed the Holden/Carly story. That's probably for the best, it sounds like.

Oh, consider yourself blessed. I felt so bad for MW, being stuck with JH, who couldn't quite escape the rust of having phoned it in for the past 10 years or so.

Courtney on GH owns this thread for me. I will never understand why she was made to be Sonny's blonde sister. They tore apart decent pairings (Liason, Court/AJ) for the ridiculousness that was Journey!! The Drab Four era was hideous. Not to mention she made Jax look like a fool when she started boning Nik. So glad she died and she is never mentioned anymore.

This! And JPL and FF had no chemistry. They were also just as bad at comedy as they were at drama. Maybe even worse, since the "comedy" brought out all the nauseating, unwatchable smug from them. Ford pretty much represents OLTL's death. He sucked the life out of all his scenes and out of other characters. He, along with the years and years of the DID mess, ruined Jess for good. I'd also add Nate to the list. When he beat up Matthew, the writers wanted fans to see it as Nate "standing up for himself". Even after he did that porno with that pointless character Deanna. The worst thing about Todd, for me, is how overhyped he (and RH) are. I'd add his son Jack to the list too. He was such an obnoxious, annoying brat (understandable with Todd AND Victor's influence) and his acting was entertainingly bad but he's better now than he was on OLTL's ABC run. The writing and acting for Jack has improved but it'd still be nice if he was gone.

The fact that GH's Courtney was an Alicia Leigh Willis character is enough for me to hate her guts. I've seen clips of her on GH and I've also seen her non-acting on other shows, ugh! Awful actress that has anti-charisma.

Comedy tended to mean loud voices and funny faces. Those annoying people at a party who are told they're funny because otherwise they annoy the crap out of everyone.

I'd blocked out Nate beating up Matthew. I guess we were supposed to be turned on. No thanks.

Carl, you're breaking my heart. I LOVE Rosanna. Not more than my Carly, but I love her. I do agree that I loved her even more when Cady took over the role b/c I loved her better as an equally scheming b-tch to Carly.

*gasps* Are you trying to kill me?! Goddess Kim IS love (not Babe on AMC tongue.png ).

Lord, I'm just waiting for someone to come in here next and say they hated Babs, Lisa, or my Nancy. If so, I am too through!
