I was under the assumption that Dixie is a physical therapist, which is what he needs, but they have Cara filling that role. Even if Dixie was a shrink, she shouldn't be treating JR. He is family and she is too close to the situation. JR was VERY hostile towards her leading up to the shooting and they have some serious deep rooted issues going back to his childhood. She has clear biases here and I don't think she would be the best person to help him in that department. Seriously, he needs an outside psychiatrist to help him with himself and his relationship with his mother. Dixie isn't equipped to do that

Yay! I can finally talk about the episode.

It was nice to get some context to Opal's comment about Celia. It makes sense that she'd trash Celia after Evelyn called Pete everything but a date rapist. You insult Opal's kin and she will take off her earrings. I'm confused about Evelyn's job. She's supposed to be the headmistress of Bramwell Hall yet she was ready to take off to Europe for two months? The guy in Celia's vision looked like the minister from Seventh Heaven. Crossover! LOL!

I loved watching Saint Angie the Peaceful and Benevolent Queen of the African Americans tell Billy Clyde that she'll have him killed if he's involved with Cassandra's disappearance especially after Jesse had to physically restrain her earlier. Darnell was very good in his scenes with Billy Clyde. I like it better when he tones down Jesse's mania. Matthew Cowles seems to be having a little trouble getting back into the groove but he's coming along.

JR/Cara have some nice chemistry so far and Lindsay is looking much healthier than she did during the first round of taping.

I know that I'm going to come off like a cult member but I don't care. I'm LOVING this show. I especially love the way the cast is mixing up in really interesting yet understandable ways: JR/Cara/David/Angie/Jesse and JR/Miranda/AJ/Binks/David. I love the fact that we are seeing some stories simmering in the background like Brooke vs JR, Opal vs. Evelyn, Celia's past, and AJ and JR trying to be family again. While I think some things get glossed over a little fast sometimes, I generally like the pacing. I yell at the TV while I watch and I'm sad when the episode is over. I haven't felt that way about any soap in years.

Angie never cheated on Jesse. When married to Jesse, Angie has been true blue faithful. Now married to Charles, well that is another story and Jacob reminded her so much of Jesse which was the attraction. Jesse is the love of Angie's life.

WOW here. Of course, PP in their statement is suggesting the age demographics and key group they are targeting for viewership long term. So I get it. I get where PP is coming from. If that is the case, well then, I guess Ginger Smith, Marlene McPherson, the writing team and producing team might be necessary to sit down again at the table of PP and start rethinking characters/storylines for actors/characters over 50 and radically change some of the dynamics of AMC. I really wonder what exactly is going on behind the scenes, the internals with the Exec's, showrunners, etc.

What does PP need to see Ginger and Co. start doing or what do they see is missing from the show? I do have questions. Will they sit down every 3 or 4 weeks to see how things go to base decisions on in the future? Sometimes I get this nagging feeling that some of what is said is fluff and spin to throw off the fans, in some ways. Something is off, just can't put a finger on it but something is off.

I have said that they were rushed to put the show up on its feet, maybe too fast, too soon which might be the cause of sloppy writing, sets issues, production issues. Now that AMC is beginning to calm down and settle into its own, there is room to improve and get better. If Susan Lucci comes back at some level, then some of the dynamics of the show will change. It is inevitable. I get that. I am giving the actors credit for doing their jobs at getting the show up on its feet.

I might be wrong, but I don't think physical therapists are allowed to treat family members in a professional capacity, either. Nobody said Dixie should be his psychiatrist, but as his mother who happens to be a counselor herself, she can help JR cope when he's in a situation where his shrink isn't around.

I say if that makes you a cult member, pass me the Kool-Aid! I feel the exact same way about AMC these days.

I liked her with Charles, he was kind of hot.. and they had a good chemistry. I think that if the show hadn't been morphed into The City.. they probably would have had a more drawn out triangle between Charles/Jacob/Angie.

I kind of think the reason Jacob/Angie broke up in the long run was because she realized she was using him as an exact replacement for Jesse.. hence why she came back to Pine Valley divorced. Was Jacob anything like Jesse? I can't recall clearly.

I watched the episode yesterday.

While I think JLP is still green, I did like the music montage as she tried on clothes. Soaps did this all the time, and it's another soap trope I welcome back! It also makes sense Celia would have strange fashion sense, she's been sheltered. I know Pete/Celia are being compared to Cliff/Nina (which I can see), but I don't remember Jenny being so sheltered. She was sweet, but kind of fiesty/strong willed at the same time.

I like Cassandra doing something other then being scared... she certainly is her mother's daughter.

.

I forgot Jesse/Angie had dealings with Billy Clyde. Did Brooke/Adam/Opal have dealings with him as well? I certainly know Dixie did LOL I certainly would not ever want to get on Angie's bad side LOL

JR/Cara= interesting.. intrigued to see how this develops.

I like that the show is moving Evelyn slowly out of Bramwell Hall.. and she has had some great scenes with Opal. Both are mother hens defending their young. I'm interested to see if Evelyn is long-term, or just short term for the guardian story.

Celia had an interesting dream, I think she might be interesting as a character in time. Though JLP needs to step up the acting a bit... though she seems to do better opposite Evelyn then Pete.. acting wise.

AJ/Miranda: no comment. :) LOL

"Keep your ugly ass out of Pine Valley" was the line of the episode.

Cassandra telling that her stepfather is the chief of police was not such a great idea.

Celia's dream was weird, clearly there is something dark about her past.

she probably didnt expect some snitch ho up go blab on her! I can understand why she did it. She wanted to give then hope and show that there is a light at the end of their dark tunnel.

I'm confused but was she raped. Did that steroid guy actually have sex with her and it was filmed? Did the Russians release that as a porno and that's how Lea and Zach got it in the previews?

Billy Clyde kidnapped Adam. That was back when he was married to Erica and there was this hilarious scene where Erica holds up the bag of money to the phone to let him and his gf (played by his rl wife) know she had it. This was long before they involved Dixie with him.

Brooke's unfortunate 'romance' with Tad (YUK) peripherally involved her because of BC leading he and Tad to go over the bridge and then Tad believed to be dead and then Brooke found out she was having her 'miracle' (funny how she could never have a baby with the love of her life but gets knocked up TWICE by a man she never loved and would've been a third if Frons didn't have B&A's reunion story handed over to his golf buddy BE - Jenny was supposed to be Brooke's) mistake Jamie and how she was robbed of his father. GAG So at the time she believed Billy Clyde killed 'her' Tad. Double GAG
