Storylines get retconned quite often with some being bad ideas (Josh Madden)

 

Was wondering which past ones you think have been a good idea, and which you'd be happy if they happened.

 

One I was happy with is Stuart being alive when AMC ended, and I'd be happy if Hope & Cole came back from the dead.

DAYS: If Rex and Cassie were re-retconned into being DiMera's again.

 

EE: If Kathy Beale and Cindy Beale came back from the dead.

 

GH: If Georgie came back from the dead.

AMC:

Recons I want: Babe never came to Pine Valley

 

OLTL:

Recons I want: Eternia and Vicky's multiple personalities never to have happened. Marty and Patrick to have stayed safely away from Landview. Kelly never to sleep with Drew (it was a bad dream).

 

GH: 

Best recent recon: A.J. is alive! Can't tell you how happy this has made me! I feel like my Sonny/Carly/Jason suffering over the years has finally been relieved. Knowing that A.J. has a chance at a happy future and a relationship with his son is so satisfying.

 

Recons I want: Justus comes back from the dead. Georgie and Diego are back alive and happy together. Jason and Robin to have stayed together and Carly to have never existed.

 

B&B:

Recons I want: Phoebe and Storm to come back from the dead. Taylor never to have given up Jack.

 

Y&R:

Recons I want: Brad, and Colleen to come back from the dead. J.T. to have never married or had a child with either Victoria or Mac. He and Colleen to be together and happy with a couple kids. Billy and Chloe to be still be married and his relationship with Victoria to have never happened.

OLTL - Tea's baby is alive. My story would involve her and Victor learning this and going on a search for their kid

GH: The Cassadines.  Originally Stavros was not Helena's son, and they added that in, created Stefan, Nik and Alexis, and got a whole family out of the retcon.

Yes. She was alone though. The two had a fight and when Beth left, she saw it laying down, so she threw it in the pool in anger. Later Beth came back and saw it in the pool, so she jumped in and drowned

Chance and Ronan. We never saw them.

MAB's hundred Genoa City babies were never born. There were no reason to complicate her problematic storylines even more. There was no reason for Lily to have two kids, or for Billy and Victoria to have a baby, or Neil and Sophia etc.

One I wish would have happened: OLTL - Mitch never came back, Jared never died and John/Natalie retread never happened and that it was all some Dallas-style McBain nightmare.

B&B - That Brooke is the love of Ridge's life and he doesn't really love Taylor that much.  The writing for this triangle was much different before Taylor returned in 2005. Ridge was in love with her and Brooke was always on the outside, yearing to get him back, but he would always end back with Taylor in between Brooke's manipulations and seduction attempts. Ever since Taylor died, Brooke's been written as his OTP and Taylor has only been second fiddle.

MAB really did take "go and populate" GC way too seriously. What possessed her to give Lily twins? Or give Billy another child when he already had Delia?

 

Other retcons I want:

 

Summer should have been Jack's child, but this mistake can still be undone.

 

Ashley should have had her baby with Brad.
