Ummm I just went to Wal-Mart to buy a Magnavox DVD recorder thinking i could record all 50 hours to DVD from SOAPNet.

 

But you can't.  The box says, "No DVD Recording from cable"  Ouch!

YOu can record from cable, you have to hook your dvr to it, that's how I do mine

Girl, I don't have a DVR and have no interest in that.

 

I bought a DVD recorder so I could burn my 50 hours to DVD.  But you can't do that.

I had a Magnavox DVD Recorder and it recorded from cable just fine. Are you sure you don't have it set to Antenna?

For those (like me) who are technologically challenged, how can one burn one's cable DVR recordings onto a blank DVD?  I'd love to clear some space, but I can't bear to delete the classic AMC/GH/OLTL marathon episodes.
