I think by this point in Reilly's first tenure, the characters were fiercely island-ed to their own stories (aka love triangles/rectangles). To my knowledge, once KA was cast as Billie, she didn't have much at all to do with Kristen or (SC's) Jenn. She interacted with Carrie and (MV's) Jack when she was first cast, but by '97, I think she spent 99% of her time with Bo, Hope, and Franco, and then Kate when she'd interfere with her pro-Bo & Billie stance (that Reilly would later reignite during JPBillie). SSM had a different vision for Billie post-stillbirth/reveal, but by that time, Kristen, Jenn, and Jack were all off the canvas.
