Even if we don't give that as the reason, it is subconsciously affecting how we see them the very same way so many kids today just cannot watch a movie in Black and White.
I find this annoying, like, what's the hang up here? There's such beauty and artistry in so many black and white films and classic TV shows. Do these people also dislike b&w photography?

I don't and I'm younger. I like watching old black and white shows like I Love Lucy and The Dick Van Dyke show. I also have watched alot of old black and white musicals on tv. However it was hard for me to watch silent film The Artist and I didn't get into it until halfway through.I find this annoying, like, what's the hang up here? I just realized that it is more of a combination of both meaning the lack sophistication. Back when GL was mainly middle class it had sophistication and when GH was doing Comic Book storylines they had sophistication. Soap have always had the lowest production values but they always seemed to "hide" that somehow by having good writers and actors. Since these shows have bad writers the poor production qualities are showing. So maybe there needs to be a balance??I disagree about the production values. Yes, they're lacking. Yes, they can bother you. But ultimately it's just that the writing is not there.
