As soon as two pregnant women are on a soap around the same time, many assume there will be a baby switch. The best baby swap stories have always involved two characters (mothers) that the audience cares about and are invested in. Why would a GH fan who didn't watch OLTL care that Sam's baby has been switched with the baby of some woman they don't even know? Ron is about to walk through the hack door.
