I guess those were the peak years for Love of Live.

At first I thought that was the Regis Millionaire.

BTW I wanted to say sorry about the ratings I posted not having the game shows. It wasn't an oversight - it's just that the Daytime TV issues don't feature them.

January 1969

1.30 - 2.00 pm timeslot

ATWT CBS 14.4

Lets Make a Deal ABC 10.5

Hidden Faces NBC 4.4

May 67

Password" inherits a 44.2 share from the powerful soaper, "As the World Turns," yet sinks to a 32.1 share.

Prompting CBS to introduce LIAMST into that timeslot.

Back when I was in college in the 80s and studying this sort of thing, a 30 share was considered the "magic" number if you will to be considered successful in prime time. If the audience were younger and/or more affluent, a show in the 27 or 28 range (ala Hill Street Blues or St. Elsewhere) would stick around. So a 25 share in 1965 when Our Private World aired would have been pretty unsuccessful. There were even fewer TV options in '65 so my hunch is that its competition was probably pulling in the 35-40 share range.

This should help to explain it.

From Wikipedia:

In 1964, daytime reruns began airing and the show was retitled Andy of Mayberry to distinguish the repeat episodes from the new episodes airing in prime time; this alternate title has continued to turn up in some syndication prints.
