I'd like to see OLTL and ATWT go up as well.

I agree they did it the old fashioned way
They earned it work themselves up by their bootstraps
no movie star to pimp and prop their ratings
They are doing the grunt work...I still want General Mobspittle
to succeed because I don't want another one cancelled out
even though they don't deserve it...the writing / script writing
is still medicore not strong dialog...too sappy
lots of favoritism in story and dialog the pets are getting
it all while most of the
other characters are flailing in bad storytelling

I agree completely. General HO-spital or General Mob-spital does not deserve success because of the poor storytelling, poor editing and their reliance on stunts or stunt casting to salvage any remaining viewership. That being said, I want them to improve and return to their former status instead of being canceled.

I am learning so much here about "editing" I am beginning to notice things especially when someone points it out here I go to uTube and see it and go yeah that's what they are talking about its amazing how fans have their niche'
mine is script writing "I'm a dialog specialist"
I'm still struggling when I read "plot pointed vs character driven story telling"
I've always learned a lot here .. esp from Steve Frame
I do notice regarding the setting
eg sometimes the lighting isn't good I don't know if that's
on purpose or what...
ok what I notice about (I think) re: editing
its a whole lot of segments in one eppy I do recaps for our network and its like 2 - 30 second scenes here
or 3 minutes there then some characters get really good long segments
while the B-List gets short changed.
Then they go to another group of characters. Its like 14 segments in one eppy it seems so
choppy like they are trying to squeeze too much in one episiode...they jump all over the place
it doesn't "flow" well for me
then I wait
three days for the characters to air again to finish it up ...
Thank God for UTubes.

GH is the most poorly edited soap. The episodes are choppy and sometimes nonsensical because TPTB are so desperate to give the A list characters more airtime. The A list characters get repetitive inane lengthy scenes, while the B-list characters get 45 scenes stuck in between the the A-listers. The show has absolutely no balance which is why it makes me laugh when people say that the show is better. Yesterday's episode was so poorly edited that it was incoherent.
