(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Dan Gauthier returns (again), Moe and Noelle help liven up Thanksgiving, two dayplayers roles are filled, a suprise announcement by one of the mayoral candidates, a movie deal, an engagement, and a death, all in this edition of Llanview Gossip.
With half of the Buchanan clan hold up at their London compound, it was only a matter of time before Kevin was seen interacting with his family again. Even though fans were briefly treated to a three episode return from Viki and Clint’s prodigal son last month, they can expect to see him again on Monday, November 30th, when he uncovers the truth about his uncle Bo and stepmother Nora. Looks like the husband is always the last to know.
It should be anxious to see if chief scribe Ron Carlivati can top last year’s heartwarming Thanksgiving episode where nearly everyone in Llanview stopped by the Buenos Dias Café for food and fellowship, but it looks as if he is going to try. Look for the Morasco and Stubbs (Moe & Noelle) clans to drop to visit with Viki and her kin, while the Evans family attempts to brigthen the day for the Buchanan family. Thankful for what she has, and feeling sorry for Viki’s problems, Dorian soon arrives at Llanfair with Starr, Cole, and Hope to help liven the mood. And Llanview’s two newest couples (one gay and one straight) decide to spend the holdiay together as well. Look for all this (among other things) to take place on Wednesday, November 25th.
Anyone who was watching “One Life to Live” back in 1990 can recall just how short Viki’s first stint as Mayor of Llanview was. Granted she only stepped down because she was shot by a corrupt police commissioner, suffered a stroke, and was left paralyzed for several months. This time, however, things are a bit less dramatic for the town’s matriarch, however she still must make a difficult choice — govern the city or focus on all the hell her family is currently going through. And one can bet that, no matter what she decides, her former political opponent and life-long nemisis Dorian will have something to say about it. Without getting into specifics (have to leave something up to the imagination), those who claim Dorian has never beaten Viki at anything may soon have to change their tune. We’ve seen Viki as mayor before, but couldn’t one just imagine what Dorian would be like in the city’s highest office? Stranger things have happened, I suppose.
Mitch Laurence receives a mysterious visitor while locked in a jail cell on Friday, November 20th.
Look for Gary Hilborn to portray “Seattle Cop #1″ on Friday and Monday, December 4th and 7th, as someone remains in custody.
Erinn Holmes is back as an “ER Nurse” on Monday, December 7th. Hmmm….wonder if this could be the episode she mentioned on her website recently which features scenes involving Marty and Nick?
Additional dayplayer roles will also be seen in other episodes in the coming months, including Thursday, December 31st.
Gary Donatelli will be directing the Monday, November 16th episode of “OLTL.”
One Republic’s tune “Come Home” was the song featured in the musical montage at the end of the October 27th episode.
Tika Sumpter (Layla) has landed a leading role in the upcoming feature film “Stomp the Yard.” She is also rumored to have signed a new contract with “OLTL” recently.
Some happy news to report. Danneel Harris, who portrayed John and Michael McBain’s cousin Shannon from 2003-04, has gotten engaged to her former soap star boyfriend of three years Jensen Ackles (Eric Brady, “Days of our Lives” from 1997-2000). Most recently Harris co-starred in “One Tree Hill.”
And some sad news to report. The New York Post reports that 78-year-old theater and television actress Shami Chaikin was killed last week when her electric scooter was hit by a garbage truck near her Greenwich Village home. Known for her family’s long history in the theater and her off-Broadway plays such as “The Last Yankee,” “Electra,” and “Viet Rock,” Chaikin also once had a small role on “OLTL.” In addition, she appeared in the 1970 counterculture film “Zabriskie Point.” Click here to read the full article.
