Why are they delayed till Friday?

AMC will probably get a 2.0, I don't see it staying the same as last week. I doubt it will beat GH again, that was a fluke

The strongest soap right now is One Life to Live. Its been a few months since I was this glued to a ABC soap watching it live not on DVR. Ron C. no doubt is the best writer in the game but the killer for him is the ratings aren't reflecting how well the show is doing quality wise.

Guiding Light comes a close second but Y&R is up there too with it but nothing beats One Life to Live right now.

I disagree about OLTL. I saw it today and wasnt impressed at all. Some characters I had no idea who they were. The show is still a mess and the ratings reflect it.

Hmmmm. Other than Stacey being inserted in every scene and storyline, and the goof troop known as Christian and Layla (Why are these two even still with the show?) I thought today was very good. It actually reminded me of Y&R. Not crazy action but alot of well written scenes with good character interaction. I thought the the Shane story today was very good and it didn't ask more than what JPL and FF can normally give.

For those of you looking for the local ratings market breakdowns, they are really late. I usually have them on Wednesdays but my guy just got them yesterday himself from his source and he usually gets them on Mondays. As soon as I get them I'll definitely post them since a number of people messaged me about the interest of their own markets but they will be late and might not be posted today but hopefully tomorrow if I get them by tonight.

I'm hoping everything goes up since this is the first full week of March sweeps. OLTL had a phenomenal week and that show continues to get better and better. GL is also really good but overall every soap is cookin' right now as I'm not finding myself bored with any of them but as usually its b/c of sweeps.

You are so, so, so great for posting those. I really enjoyed reading them and seeing how some soaps just all-out blew the others out of the water.

(hint hint -- I live in both the New Orleans and Baton Rouge markets...just in case you were wondering )

ICAM about the quality of OLTL. I love the show for sentimental reasons, but I'm tired of trusting in the writers. The show gets really strong, then suddenly falls apart and it's not clear why the writers bothered with some storylines or even some characters. It's the least consistent show on air, IMO.

Sweeps were delayed this year because of the digital transition, which was subsequently postponed.

I really hope all the soaps go up in ratings. These actors jobs are on the line and they can not help that the writers arent giving them good storylines. It seems that the "not watching", isnt effecting the ones we want it to, but instead the actors are either being cut or put on re-curring. I don't know about you guys but I would hate to think that my job was relying on a bunch of disgruntled fans as to whether I kept it or not. JMO

Not just the actors, but the writers, directors, producers, and crew...so many, many people go into making a soap (and so many have been with one show for tons of years), and I'd just hate to see more lose their jobs in this economy!

I know that we've been sharing local ratings lately. One interesting fact that I came across is that in the number 5 market, Dallas-Ft. Worth, this is the ABC schedule:
