I don´t watch this soaps but I know it´s about a few families that live outside Gothenburg and lots of them have immigrant-backgrounds. Rederiet Primetime-soaps featuring the crew on a ferryboat going between Sweden-Finland. Also about the Dahlén family who owns the shipping company that owns the boat Freja where most of the show takes place. Lots of drama, intrigue etc like on all soaps. However, after a couple of seasons the guy dies in a carcrash her father was not really innocent of and she goes from being kind and naive to becoming more selfish and tough. Loved the Elenor/Beatrice storyline, Psycho Emelie who kidnapped Karl, Psycho Jeanette who went crazy when Carl and hers daughter died and tried to kill him, bitchy Renate,Funny Joker & Uno, such a great soap, but went bad the last years, also loved funny Gustav and sometimes Bitchy Katarina Remmer. 3. Tre Kronor, was really bad, sometimes funny, with Kotten & Janet. 4. Skilda Värdar, if Rebecca (first played by Jesscia Zanden, later Nina Gunke), hadn`t been in the cast, the soap would have sucked, but Rebecca who was always scheeming was rather fun to see. 5. Varuhuset, great soap, Margareta was great. 6. Vita Lögner, i watched when i was younger, really dosen`t remember much, rather good i think. 7. Vänner och Fiender, i remember watching it, but really cant remember much, rather good i think. 8. Nya Tider, was sometimes good and sometimes really bad. Rederiet - the classic. Was really awesome the first 5 years and got bad the next 4 years only to end pretty decent for its last year. 2. Varuhuset - I can´t remember if this show actually got bad at the end. Such a classic 80s soap. 3. Vita Lögner - Loved it for several seasons until it got bad. 4. Nya Tider - Also loved it the first few seasons, but then they fired half the cast and brought in new people and it got completely wrecked. I couldn´t stand it after that. 4. Skilda Världar - Awesome first few seasons here too. But then it just lost its touch when they re-casted Rebecka. Jessica Zandén MADE that role. 5. Vänner & Fiender - Same as above. Great first few seasons, then it got horribly bad when they got rid of most the original cast and replaced with new. I cannot stand that. 6. Tre Kronor - Loved it at first, then it got so pathetic. But I never stopped liking the character Reine - a soap classic! 7. Andra Avenyn - Just seen parts of it, and it just doesn´t do anything for me at all. I´ve watched all except Andra Avenyn, and loved all those (except Andra Avenyn) It´s too bad they have to screw the soaps up. If it aint broke, don´t try to fix it!!! Members te. Posted June 12, 2010 Members Share Posted June 12, 2010 I loved Vita Lögner - it was a shame that it was handled so badly by the network. I didn't think it got "bad", but obviously there were seasons that were better than the last ones. The interesting thing is that they seemed to do more location shots towards the end of it instead of in studio. The last few episodes were so good too! Tre Kronor was over the top and towards the end it just got waaay out of hand. And you always felt bad for Birgitta who always seemed to have bad things happen to her - quite the opposite of the actress role on Varuhuset! I watched Vänner><Fiender the seasons it was on tv3. It was rather good - I even remember buying the cd single of the theme song and playing it to death at a friends' house! Skilda Världar as a weekly soap just didn't work. They seemed to try and go for a more "serious" drama approach, the last few episodes seemed like they went back to the trashy roots with Rebecka getting her comeuppance. One of the few shows that actually seemed to get a "real" ending! Also, it might be worth to mention that this was the Swedish version of Australian 80s show Brothers & Sisters. Nya Tider got an awesome season finale before half the cast was fired and they tried to turn it into a "serious" drama. It was really weird actually. It was like they were "well, we might as well go all out before we turn dull!". Edit: here it is! And yeah, Andra Avenyn is just straight down horrible. Which is too bad as it's the first time in eons anyone invested in a Swedish soap after the messes that were Ocean Ave and Hotel Seger. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I still can't remember the storyline properly but that particularly storyline scared me senseless when I was little. I was completely obsessed with "Skilda Världar" and I really don't know why because the acting sucked for the most part except Jessica Zandén. I was highly intrigued by twins getting it on though. So many memories, I loved Tom, hated Daniel (who was played by one of the worst actors I think I've ever seen on a soap) Tre Kronor was good as well and I'll never forget them naming that baby River ETA: What was the name of the norwegian soap that TV4 used to show 8 years ago or so?
