It is great to see that people talking about the role the weather will have on the ratings. It is these kinds of events that have an impact on the weekly fluctuations not the quality of the show or the character featured. Will this start a new trend? Nah.

• For the second straight week, ABC was Daytime’s No. 1 network in Women 18-49 (1.4 rating/938,000 – tied on rating).

• This week stood as “The View’s” most-watched week in Total Viewers since the week of the Presidential Election (4.67 million, week of 11/3/08), and posted its best Women 18-34 (406,000) and Women 18-49 (1.06 million) delivery in nine weeks – since week of 11/24/08. Also impressive, for the first time in almost two years (since week of 4/30/07), “The View” delivered more than one million key Women 18-49 viewers each day: Monday 1.06 million; Tuesday 1.03 million; Wednesday 1.13 million; Thursday 1.04 million; Friday 1.03 million.

• For the fourth week running, “The View” ranked as Daytime’s No. 3 program in Total Viewers (4.67 million), and a high ranking No. 2 in Women 18-34 (1.2 rating/406,000) and Women 18-49 (1.6 rating/1.03 million – tie).

• As the biotoxin story continues, “General Hospital” produced its largest Total Viewer audience in nine months (3.00 million, since week of 4/21/08), and posted best-in-5-month numbers in Women 18-49 (1.03 million, since week of 9/8/08).

• “All My Children” posted strong gains over last week, up by 14% in Women 18-34 (329,000 vs. 288,000) and by 11% in Women 18-49 (855,000 vs. 772,000), placing No. 4 and No. 5, respectively, versus competitive programming.

• ABC delivered 3 of the week’s Top 5 programs in Daytime in key Women 18-49 with “The View” (No. 2T – 1.6 rating/1.06 million), “General Hospital” (No. 2T – 1.6 rating/1.03 million) and “All My Children” (No. 5T – 1.3 rating/855,000).

Here are last weeks to make it easier to compare based on info thus far.

I am going to have fun watching Days AND AMC's ratings....

These shows are the shows to watch (as far as ratings) AMC's jump was HUGE in the 18-49 viewers

I don't watch AMC but think Pratt is writing a show that NEW viewers may want to watch-

As my poor OLTL continues to tank, tank, tank....

What are gonna get Passanante when she finally gets canned from ATWT??

I'm glad DAYS went up.

I know a lot of people were pissed about Hall and Hogestyn leaving, but like other fan favorites that have left in the past, after it's all said and done, fans continue to watch. I think that's what will happen this time as well.

However, I don't think these numbers should imply that more people are turning in because John and Marlena are gone. I just think a lot of DAYS fans are liking what they are seeing right now. These stories are okay for them.
