It would have been interesting to see what would have happened if the show had made it another year or two. Steve and Colin were visiting a rival hospital when the storm struck. They were in the stairwell, leaving the hospital. The concrete walls and support beams collapsed, as seen in the photo. The debris fell on Colin, killing him. The sequence was terrifying and very well produced. It was far better than the storms on All My Children, which had a much larger budget. Wonder if that will ever be mentioned again? Here's a snippet from Variety dealing with the storyline of the first episode. ....first day, Monday ( 1), thisNBC-TV strip borrowed a lot of them. A little girl with an aggravated hernia and a mean stepmother died in surgery, not of the knife . but of something familiarly mysterious to viewers- an aneurism.
