Soap Opera Network has just learned that actors Brandon Beemer and Martha Madison, who portray the popular roles of Shawn D. Brady and Belle Black-Brady, have been let go from NBC's "Days of our Lives."

According to sources, "Belle" and "Shawn" will be written out of the show due to storyline purposes. Madison and Beemer will continue to tape episodes for approximately another month.

WHAT?! Beemer OK, but MARTHA?!?!?!? Martha was a true find, what the [!@#$%^&*] is up with Corday?!?! I'm pissed.

This has to be a budget related issue. I mean with Shirley Jones coming and Tamara Braun, they had to let some people go, I just never thought it would be Martha and Brandon.

I also have to ask, why isn't Nadia Bjorlin fired as well? There was never really any need for her to come back to DAYS in the first place and with Martha and Brandon gone, she should be too.

I guess Jay Kenneth Johnson as Phillip can stay, since he's the only real link to Victor on the show. Jay and Martha had MAD chemistry though....

I am heartbroken. I love Belle and Shawn as individual characters and as a couple, and as a couple tortured and kept apart, and now they're going??? To make room for that no talent Tamara Braun??? WTF is happening to Days??? Maybe this is just the beginning of the end...
