I again hope ALL soaps rise. Even the bad ones.

Days was AWESOME last week, and it climbed a tad the week before, hopefully it will slowly rise again this week!!!!

I may be wrong, but I believe the ratings will be delayed because of a ridiculous holiday I never get off for...Columbus Day. dry.gif

I forgot it's Columbus Day. And just when I needed to go to the post office! Hopefully, DAYS will raise up a little bit. I've been kinda worried there for a minute when it was last in the ratings for the past two weeks. I don't think DAYS is doing THAT BAD of a job compared to Guiding Light. But, I am getting sick and tired of the Sami Brady Show that's for sure. I'm really looking forward to DAYS next week. It's going to be a good one.

Ugh I know, that is a big problem to me. SAMI'S ON TOO MUCH, and so many things are just used to prop her. We need vets front and center and in a story!

We should play guess the ratings and see who is close tomorrow.

My Guess:

Y&R: 4.0
B&B: 2.7
GH: 2.4
OLTL: 2.4
AMC: 2.2
ATWT: 2.2
DAYS: 2.0
GL: 1.8

That storyline doesn't really kick off until next Friday, so I don't think it will have an effect on last week's ratings.

Y/R's promos for the big boom didn't come out until this week... so I'd not expect any increase due to the ads to show up until at least next week's list... probably the week after (and the end of Oct) are where we'll see a rise.

Is there are reason why the ratings are coming out later and later now? Are they really so bad that they don't to release anymore?

Nielsen doesn't hold back releasing ratings because they're bad. They're probably just late with the calculations and percentages because of the holiday. But whether they're good or bad, Nielsen always releases them when they're ready to go.

Still though isn't it a lil sketchy that no one has given us an official word regarding it one way or another?

I mean a simple post saying, "The Ratings will be delayed because of blah blah blah" wouldn't hurt....instead of this confusion/paranoia.

You mean a post from the Nielsen people? Why do I have the feeling they don't care about what we think... It's strange how dependent I've become on finding out these numbers--my week doesn't feel complete without knowing how ATWT did.

Or a mod I guess..

And yeah its kinda scary how obsessed we're becoming with ratings...
