I finally bought my behind MS Office over the weekend, here's some charts...

7 Soap Chart For 2006-2007 Season: Didn't include Y&R or PSNS because they're either so far ahead or so far below the other soaps that it would have widely distorted the charting...

The Young and The Restless

All My Children

Days of Our Lives

Days of our Lives has had some fantastic episodes. I'm positive about the show's creative direction, but the ratings, those damned ratings . . . I always dread seeing them. But still I look. Glutton for punishment. laugh.gif

Glad to see AMC gain .1! biggrin.gif

All the other ABC soaps stayed the same. HMMMMM.

PSNS did not rise. sad.gif

DAYS did not go up and I am not surpirsed. The show is still horrible. It is still at 2.0. I hated last week. It was boring and repeitive.

Well apparently DOOL viewers weren't too displeased by what they saw on Thursday if DOOL gained .2 points on Friday, a day that DOOL typically goes down.

For as much as you are obsessed with EJ though, I'm curious if he didn't exist what you would post about?

Not much to talk about this week... I guess we should be happy that there does not appear to be any record lows and that no soaps went down. AMC tied OLTL in 18-49... I don't think thats happend in awhile. ATWT went up +.2... good for them.

I am so glad Y&r stayed the same. Glad B&B went up they have been pretty good. The last few weeks on Days has been kind of good. I am telling you they are going to fire Hogan.

Let me get this straight. The 3 days that featured heavy EJ/Sami & Santo/Colleen interaction (including a love scene and "kiss") rated 1.9, 2.0 & 1.9 (average of 1.93). Friday's episode featured NO EJ/Sami or Santo/Colleen and rated a 2.1. Yet somehow Friday's bump is seen as vindication of Tuesday-Thursday's content?

I'm happy Friday got the highest rating. It was the only episode of last week's pukefest that I could tolerate. cool.gif

Interesting - usually Friday is the killer day for ABC ratings...but this week it was the best!

And just an interesting observation - but AMC usually always has the highest rated special holiday episode. I wonder if thats bc more people tape AMC, so if they had the day off they were at home watching...or if people are out in the afternoons, but catch the earlier noon show?

CBS did not air any soaps last Friday. I think AMC and Days gained some more (probably temporary) viewers from that alone.

^^Ahh, could be.

Friday on AMC was the reveal of Annie's past - and it was a great reveal...so hopefully they keep some of their audience next week from that Friday show.

That 1.9 for Colleen/Santo makes me smile. biggrin.gif They're such a horrible idea. I can't wait until we finally find out how/why Colleen died. I just want it to be over soon.

That is really sad for Passions. I guess fans didn't just want to come back. They missed a good finale. Their loss.

Not much movement with the soaps. That 2.1 for Days on Friday is a good sign. The TTS story began to climax and that had the Stefano stuff. Hopefully, Days can ride that momentum. Usually they do good the week after they have a good Friday rating.

As I've said the last few times....DAYS deserves the ratings it's getting. I'd much rather them take a hit now to finish this god awful Touch the Skye storyline, then drag it out for another couple of months. Hopefully when it's over we can get back to the quality storylines that don't drive viewers away.
