Nope, he's on strike with Latham and the rest of her team of hacks.

I think you'll notice an immediate change, it actually feels like a soap opera again, not the bad primetime show disguising itself as a soap opera that Latham was trying to force on us. The characters all seem to be written truer to character again too. It's definitely more character-driven than it's been all year.

Definitely add it back to your recorder, like Y&RWorldTurner said you should probably notice the change immediately. Production was shut down in December and the show was retooled and I think it really shows. Y&RWorldTurner's description of LML's Y&R as a bad primetime show disguised as a soap opera is so right on, all of LML's previous shows (including Knots) all had this tone to them that was sort of hokey, obviously it was a disaster at Y&R.

I say Maria Arena Bell for headwriter with Alden, Smith and Griffith as consultants. I sound like a complete sycophant but I am just thrilled with how quickly the show has turned around.

LMAO!

I doubt Maria will be writing after the strike, she most likely did it as a favor to her family. Also being FiCore doesn't guarantee her or Griffith long-term employment as writers...

I say dig up Trent Jones or James Houghton from some place and make them HW. I think Alden's content at B&B and Jack F. Smith should retire, though at this point he's miles ahead of Latham.

2000th post! :D

I say any of the old school Y&R writers, who trained under Bill Bell, will do.

Well, if Maria wanted to write long-term (maybe she's got the itch again and wants to write again), she could since she's married to one of the bosses right. LOL

I know, but only as a SW for a couple of years. She's not experienced enough to be HW, maybe Co-HW with an experienced writer.

Also, I was just poking fun at DaytimeFan for wanting MAB to be HW based on 3 episodes. I just thought that was funny.

I wonder if the Fi-Core will be listed. I hope so!! ;)

OK, I haven't been here for a while but I saw elsewhere some talk today about Dena Higley running things while Hogan Sheffer is gone and that resulting in some different directions for the show.

Can someone bring me up to speed on what is known as for as the DOOL strike writing situation?
