I love so much that you started this Roman. Glad that we have another place to discuss what is going on.

Just want to say that I love that everyone puts so much work into their blogs. So many of them look so good and the stories are good too. I am really happy to see some of you post your cast lists. That has always been my hardest thing in following some of them. You know the current casts, but when each one of us adds new folks to the show, then it helps to have it right there to remind us who is playing that role.

I did it on mine because no one would realy be familiar with any of the characters, but glad to see others do it too. It really helps.

Oh BTW just got my first episode posted. I still have not decided if I will do an episode a day or every other day. Will just see how it goes for now.

This week, there's going to be an explosion similar to the one that "killed" Steve 16 years ago. And a lot of people are going to be written off (in various ways) in that storyline (the European Adventure) both this week and next. Also, the Titan Vs. Alamain Fashion Show will commence!

This week the John is Roman story will be further delved into, Sam will finally get caught and will be punished, the funerals, Kayla awakens (hopefully), and Jan will fake her way into becoming Shawn and Mimi's surrogant.

Then finally Carrie and Austin will exit Salem. I really want them to stay, but I just don't have a story in mind for them right now.

I am also trying to think of something to do for Days 41st anniversery, I was planning on a huge Horton reunion, but then King started his "We're bringing Horton's back!" story, so I backed down just so he wouldn't feel copied. LOL.

This week the big November event begins as Billie, Jack, Roman, Abe, Shane, Lexie, Stefano, Bo, Victor, Maggie, and Hope head for Australia. This adventure in the outback will lead to a huge showdown in two weeks. Thanksgiving week will be HUGE as will the week after. The day before and day after Thanksgiving will feature two of the most intense, gripping cliffhangers you will ever see. The war between Victor and Stefano will explode and so many beloved Salemites will get caught in the crossfire. When the dust settles, two will be near death so Wednesday November 22 and Friday November 24 are HUGE (preempted on Thanksgiving of course). They are probably the best episodes our blog has written yet and this event is bigger then any we have done before.

The week of November 27 will focus on the aftermath of the event and will also see several stories explode. A powerful story for Abby and Chelsea will begin, more about what Will is up to is revealed, Eric will lie near death as Nicole makes her big decision, and one of the characters who is near death after the events in Austrailia will be in the brink of death and see their life pass before their eyes. That will lead to a new, controversial and powerful story for this character in the new year as a secret buried deep within the subconscious begins to be recalled. As for the other character near death after Austrailia, death could be in order for them but not if the love of their life has anything to say about it.

As if that isn't enough. that is only the beginning as all this will lead to a DECEMBER TO REMEMBER that will feature the climax of several stories and will be the most emotional month you will ever see. Of course, there will be miracles as the holidays will take center stage. Look for beloved characters to return and the Horton's will be the focus once again, especially with so many being back for the time being.

Lots stuff coming up as you can see after we spent much of September and October laying the groundwork. I will also say that the episodes will become shorter. As readers well know, our episodes have been very long at times due to our emphasis on trying to get the reader to read and imagine like they are watching the actual show and can visualize the scenes. We want readers to feel the emotion they would normally feel and we won't stray from that. Our big event and reveal shows will still be long and they should be since alot will be happening. We will use dialogue at times, especially for the cliffhanger shows coming up. I know there is only so much time people have to read and with the blogs now being competitive and more on the way we just feel like it's time to adjust. Our style won't change but it will be adjusted to fit with our reader's needs. Just thought I would broadcast that-I love this thread!!

Nancy Hughes McCloskey

A tireless advocate of many Oakdale charities,Nancy has outlived two husbands and a daughter. She is so proud of her children.Penny lives with her husband and children in England. Donald is a successful lawyer with a happy married life. Her son Bob,chief of staff at the hospital. Her children have succesful marriages,homelife and careers and she is so proud of that. They really don't have time for her anymore and she understands that.Sometimes she gets lonely.Oh no,she doesn't want another man,she feels she is too old for that.She has a friend named Melanie.She met her at the cemetary while both were grieving their husbands.Melanie has had a hard life. Her husband didn't leave her as well off as she was.Melanie doesn't have the wonderful children like she has. She feels sorry for her and compelled to help her as much as she can. Would Nancy's children understand? No. But she really doesn't care. She has a friend now.A friend who needs her and she is going to do everything she can for her new friend.

Ellen Stewart.

Ellen is a part of Oakdale's premier families. The Cole's,the Lowell's,the Cassen's and the Stewart's.
She is one of the most refined,well mannered and well dressed women of society.
The widow of David Stewart. David single handedly started the research center at Memorial Hospital. He later went to Africa to work on research for A.I.D.S. Later in life he moved to Atlanta to work at the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta. He was an advisor to President Carter. On his death Ellen stayed in Atlanta to work tirelessly for causes dear to her husband's heart.
Ellen is a stong supporter of her family. Her beloved granddaughter Emily just gave birth to a sweet little girl
There was one thorn in her side-SusanStewart!That woman has caused so much pain to the ones she loved!
And Susan Stewart knows the dirty little secret that Ellen has tried to hide. That part of her past that she is not proud of.
And Susan Stewart is not afraid to use it. Use it to crack that pristine image that Emily has of her beloved grandmother.

Two lives that will never be the same.

Hey Phoenix, mabye it was mentioned somewhere and I didn't see it, but what happened to Ernesto after Melaswan was over?

Ernesto fled and escaped via an emergency speedboat. He has gone into hiding. Victor wants to get revenge on him and find him too but his focus is on Stefano since Stefano and Ernesto did create the island plot together. Ernesto will be back someday along with Wendell (Wayne Northrup) but I wouldn't expect Bart or Andre to ever be back. I do have plans to bring the real Tony back someday but not anytime soon. Only Andre and Ernesto knew where Tony was and Stefano has people looking, as I mentioned in an epiosde a few weeks ago, but nothing yet.

There is also a new force in Salem as was revealed on October 30 episode and on November 3 episode. I am calling him the "cloaked man" and his identity will play a huge role in next year's stories. Also, look for a new family to being to show up in December. The patriarch of the family will be working for Victor and the family will not be around for long but they will serve a major story purpose. The patriarch will be around for awhile though. I have a daytime vet in mind for the role of the family patriarch and that will be announced in the weeks to come. I will also be posting a casting announcement tonight about the two roles who will be central to Abby and Chelsea's big story coming up. Keep an eye out in my blog tonight for who will be playing those roles.

My episode counts this month alarmed me to the lack of balance, which I'm hoping to work on. It's hard to keep a balance AND tell stories consistently enough with four episodes a month My cast is SO big! I hope to rectify that soon, but I don't know how much I can rectify it, to be honest I may have to rotate some characters like King--only problem there is all my characters interconnect. So, you can expect to see all different people throughout the month, as well as a focus on the main stories: Abe & Lexie's deteriorating marriage; The truth about Roman & Chris; and Shawn's descent into alcoholism.

Casting news that may make a select few very happy has just been posted regarding a certain blind item from the weekend.

There will be an exit interview with Josh Taylor later in the week.

Thanks, Roman! (Okay, given the context, that was slightly twilight zone) It's been a difficult story to tackle, but I wanted to do it. I knew I wanted to use her pregnancy to lead into her memory returning--the intensity of this betrayal by this man people keep telling she should trust was just the spark she needed. Despite what Jake did to her sister, Marlena trusted Chris and when he appeared as Roman, she never questioned it. This was just too much for her to comprehend. And poor Chris can't get a word in edgewise to defend himself, on top of the fact that he has no way to defend himself, despite being a lawyer.
