  1. Has anyone else received that crazy spam email from a Tracey Brumann? It is insane even for a spammer.

I had no idea he was part of Main Ingredient, one of the best '70s R&B/soul groups. RIP.

I read that he wasn't in the original lineup but he is known for singing one of, if not their best known song Everybody Plays the Fool.

  2. Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley resigned today over an affair. If the soaps aren't doing it for you, read up on this story. His texts to his mistress are so thirsty and his wife found them, then turned them over to authorities. Better than all four of the soaps put together.

  3. Re: The Best Picture error at the Oscars. There are duplicates of every envelope just for backup and the envelope given to Beatty and Dunaway was a duplicate of the Best Actress envelope. Someone backstage messed up, not Beatty and Dunaway.

Bonnie and Clyde did mess up because CLEARLY they knew something was wrong and said nothing. Allowed that disaster and offered up a silly grin.

What was wrong with "we've already presented best actress"?  When Warren took a second look into the envelope for the right card, it was that time to speak up, but again, it's much easier to do the wrong thing and allow an embarrassing disaster as opposed to a small delay as everyone gets a chuckle.

      YRBB

Right! All he had to say was, "We've got the wrong card!" Everybody laughs, suspense gets bigger, right card is brought in.

That being said, MAN what a moment!

      MissLlanviewPA

To be fair, this is something you don't actually expect to happen (no duh, but still). I can see Warren freezing in the moment a bit and not quite knowing how to react, even if that WOULD have been the right thing to do.

  4. That error with the Best Picture winner. Yikes.

  5. The recent posts sidebar is gone

Well, it was gone for a few minutes. Not sure what happened.

      Such a shame.

  6. Today is the anniversary of the Northridge Earthquake. That was really a big one, because it knocked out the power where me and my family lived at the time about 70 miles from the epicenter.

  7. Scott Baio reported to the police that he was battered by a woman over Trump. Crazy for me is that it happened about a block away from where I live.

    1. DRW50

      DRW50

Now he won't be able to perform at Trump's inaugural...

  8. On the AMAs, Nicki Minaj just spread her legs wide open and touched herself. ROFL.

  9. The election result makes me want to start watching the soaps again. I need some escapism.

You should try Emmerdale or Eastenders. Or some of the old Search clips from 84-86 popping up on YT.

I watched a few ATWT episodes from 1988, decided to Google Melanie Smith discovered that she is a Wellness Coach who specializes in helping people through loss. A member of this board posted a FB message from her in the ATWT section. The world needs more people like her.

  10. Such a nasty woman? For real?

      DramatistDreamer

Lots of women saying "I'm with Nasty".  or saying they're nasty too.

  11. Kenya Moore is on Worst Cooks Celebrity Edition. I know some of you all around here like her, so I'm letting you know.

I watched the premiere.  I knew from the first second I saw her onscreen that she would be the first one to go.

    3. SFK

      SFK

I watched too and was like, "How in the hell did I find this random ass show..." Always good to see Mindy Cohn and I knew they wouldn't cut Jeannie so early in the game.

    4. Khan

      Khan

It IS good to see Mindy Cohn, but I notice she hasn't been featured as much in this show as others.  I think she'll be the next to go.

  12. So Don King says "nigger" (I could have written N-word, but there's no use trying to cover up something so obvious) while introducing Donald Trump and Trump is in the background practically laughing. This election needs to be over now.

Welcome to life in Cleveland during an election year.

  13. Katheryn Cryer is straight up gangsta. Damn, that ending was scary.

I saw your post and was prepared to be dissappointed but I just saw the show and wow that was shocking

Katheryn has always been my favorite...and she did not disappoint!

  14. Allyson Felix deserved the gold. That fool from the Bahamas diving across the finish line was not sprinting, IMO. It might be ok by the rules of track, but it was still a cheap, un-athletic move.

  15. Orlando Bloom with no clothes on. Pretty nice.

  16. At the DNC, Rep. Joyce Beatty wore the same dress as Melania Trump. I was laughing so hard when my mom pointed that out.

She was so entertaining and charismatic. She got little money for her work, as so often happens. I'm sorry for her loved ones.

  17. I was in church today and the pastor mentioned the Haves and the Have Nots in his sermon. Only in a black church would that happen, ROFL.

LOL! He was talking about people being uncomfortable in a black church and he talked about the scenes where Candace left Jim in the 'hood and he was all uncomfortable. He didn't remember the character name and asked his wife. "What's the judge's name, baby?"

  18. The California delegation at the RNC showed out worse than any other delegation so far. Four black people acted a fool cheering for Trump. It was pathetic.

    1. Soapsuds

      Soapsuds

      I saw that…..LOL

    2. ReddFoxx

      ReddFoxx

And with the roll call vote over, no other delegation carried on a bad as California. Black people were the only ones to put on a good old down home show Mr. Trump. Shameful.

    3. DramatistDreamer

      DramatistDreamer

I heard at least 10 members of the CA delegation have been hit with the Norovirus and are sick to their stomachs!

  19. "Unfortunately he died here...on my new couch". That episode of the Jeffersons never gets old.

  20. Jennifer Hudson churched up Purple Rain. That was something else.

      Don't forget Sheila E.! FABULOUS.

    4. DramatistDreamer

      DramatistDreamer

Considering it was the BET awards and it was a tribute to Prince, I thought it was perfectly appropriate. I know sometimes Hudson can oversing a little but I liked her Gospelization of Purple Rain, it made the occasion feel sacred, in a way.

Sheila E. turned it out, in the best way possible!  That was a big FU to Linda Perry and it was an illustration of how a tribute to Prince should be done. Bilal singing Beautiful Ones was a great choice. I enjoyed Maxwell too. Yes, he appropriated the lyrics a little but given the sentiment he was expressing, it made sense.

  21. Google is saying that there has been a spike in searches related to the EU. Apparently people are panic searching because they vote for Brexit and had no clue what they would voting for. What a mess.

Some people who voted Leave are now saying they're worried about their jobs.  Morgan Stanley has already started planning to move about 2000 staff to Ireland or Germany.

Why didn't these folks educate themselves before they went to the polls?!  Didn't know what the EU did?  OMG.
